Really good BBQ Duck and rice - and other options Only a few seats but it's shared seating and worth it. Probably some of the best roast bbq duck in San Francisco

Make sure you go to this one!! It's the actual restaurant. Food (9/10) - Some classic Cantonese BBQ never hurt anybody. We got their duck and the pork belly (and accidentally got convinced into ordering pig ears). Overall, the duck has a delicious, slightly fatty, and aromatic flavor. Goes well with the side sauce. The sauce is on the sweeter and tangier side so it definitely does not interest everyone. The pig ears were good. Slight spice and nice crunch but probably not something I'd order again. The pork belly is where it's really at though. Delicate, crispy skin with the characteristic pork belly chew. On par with some of the best pork belly I've had at other restaurants. Absolutely DELICIOUS! MUST MUST MUST order!! Both pair AMAZING with the rice. **Method at this restaurant (if you're with a big group): Instead of ordering individual rice plates, order the meat by themselves (i.e. half a duck and half a pound of pork belly is how we did it) and then ask for rice on the side. That way, you can try many different kinds of flavor. Generous rice portion too. Service (7/10) - Nice people; seemed to like that kids could still speak Cantonese LOL... did kind of scam us into ordering pig ears. She asked us if we'd like to try some (which I took as an implication of did we want a few pieces) but she brought out a whole plate and charged us for it. Whoops! Watch out when they egg you on to order more definitely. Overall, amazing Cantonese BBQ. Will definitely be coming back again!

A vibrant looking shop with yummy roast meats hanging in the window. You can order by weight or in more balanced dishes with rice and veggies. I like getting two items in a rice dish, for variety. Roast Duck: Looks pretty cool hanging in the window. It's not carefully de-skinned and de-boned, like at a fancy Peking Duck dinner, but rather quickly chopped cross-sectionally with a clever. This makes eating more cautious and careful, so not to accidentally eat any bone shards as you pick off the meat and skin. But very tasty, so worth the effort. Crispy Pork Belly: Very crispy skin, firm meat and lots of fat intact (not rendered off). Very intense, so can only have a few pieces at once. Honey-Glazed BBQ Pork (Char Siu): Definitely my favorite meat here, by far! Love the lacquered textured and the bright red color. The texture outside is firm and there's a nice sweet taste so it's like meat candy. Even though there is some fat in the mix, it's cooked so well that it's softened and a good texture. Garlic Roast Chicken: I am surprised to say that I like this more than the duck. The meat-to-bone ratio is much better, so you don't feel like you're wasting all your time gnawing on the bone. Plus some really strong flavor integrated into the chicken breast, which can be a challenging cut to infiltrate. Granted, I'll gladly choose a Peking duck format (skin + meat sliced for me) if that's an option, but for this cross-section bone-in format the chicken is the king bird. Noodles: You don't have to get the meat over rice, you can choose noodles. With the BBQ Pork on top, it couldn't be a more perfect lunch. The chewy flavored noodles against the firm pork. Hit the spot! Fried Rice: The best part about getting fried rice at a roast meat shop is that it is loaded with yesterday's leftovers. No shortage of bright char siu chunks to add lots of great flavor.

Great service. There was not a menu per se and I just told them it was my first time and they recommended what I get. Great portion size. Smaller place but likely not super crowded as a lot of people take food to go anyway.

Delicious! Shared the bbq pork & roasted pork over rice with my fiancé for $21 + $3 for soda. For one person the portions would be very generous and more than enough. If you plan on dining in you can seat yourself and point at the pictures on the wall if you are unsure how to order. There is a mini chalk board menu as well.

Must admit, it took me a while to figure out that I needed to add this 'new' business. Most will remember this store as being the location of that highly touted Chinatown roast pork and duck place that had chefs and foodies around the City praising them for their food. Those in the know are already aware that they are now in Bernal Hts. with another location set to open shortly in the TL. Back to this business, I walked by several times and noticed the new signage and the clean decor. With my home situation changed, my shopping habits are such that I am buying for one to two diners instead of a family of five or six. After picking up something at the hardware store, I walked in and looked at their offerings on a Wednesday late morning. I asked whether they offered BBQ spare ribs but the counter lady kindly told me no. Instead, I decided to buy some BBQ pork (char siu) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=r7k0ngbgkRWzYYl7fdSkSA), asking her whether I could buy half of one of the hanging pieces. She kindly agreed to and I had this as part of my lunch, dinner, and yet another meal a couple days later. I studied the hot plates displayed and noticed a couple of items that I'd consider trying on another visit (pork belly with mustard greens and tomato with scrambled eggs). Those may be my next purchases.

First time in Chinatown, randomly stopped here and it did not disappoint! Roast duck was juicy with crispy skin, BBQ pork was super flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and not greasy Would come back!

Nice neon duck sign for the atompshere.

Dined in at Duk Hing Express and had a great experience. The duck came out fresh with perfectly crispy skin and really juicy, flavorful meat, honestly one of the better ones I've had. The BBQ pork was just as good, with that sweet, smoky glaze and nice char on the edges. Everything tasted fresh, portions were solid, and the food came out pretty quickly. Atmosphere was nice and service was fast and excellent. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving roast meats.

What a hidden gem! If you're craving some authentic Cantonese Style BBQ this is the spot! The roast duck skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. The Charsiu was also very delicious. If you are in SF Chinatown, this is a must try!

Everything was delicious but if I pick a favorite, I think it would be the eggplant. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. It's a small restaurant so I would probably only come with 2-4 people. I think you can walk in but the wait seemed quite long so I'd try to get a res. I wish it was easier to get one or I'd be back more often :)

Servers were friendly and accommodating. Food came quickly and dishes had beautiful presentation. We shared the chili crisp pig head, clay pot rice with Chinese sausage and bacon, scallop vermicelli, and XO escargot with milk bread. I enjoyed the free bites of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. Chili crisp pig head was good but got a little too oily immediately. The slices were really thin and there were a bunch of good textures from the chili crisp and the veggies but was a little heavy due to sitting in plate of oil. Clay pot rice didn't stand out to me that much, the tong ho on top helped cut the heaviness at first but there were only ~5 leaves so it ended up being a little too saucy and heavy. I also would've appreciated more toppings in the clay pot rice and rice also didn't get scorched despite leaving it there for most of the meal. Scallop vermicelli wasn't bad, but definitely felt overpriced for essentially 1 piece of scallop and 3-5 bites of vermicelli. Last, the XO escargot with milk bread was unique but also ultimately too oily. The escargot sat in a pool of oil/butter/fats which got a bit too much too. I will say the flavor was definitely there though and the texture of escargot was good. The milk bread was great, smelled fresh and sweet with a soft crunch. Overall I think it was a fun experience to dine here and no regrets, but none of the dishes stood out to me too much in particular to where I'd be running back.

There will be a little bit of a wait if you come at lunchtime, but the changing of tables is so quick, it's worth the wait. My table got many items to try out, including a number of dumplings and main dishes. We have no complaints! The servers were on top of their game, and every time a menu item was brought out, they would cross it out at the table, to ensure all our food was brought out. Each dish came out piping hot (especially the dumpling and wontons), and my favorite main dish was definitely the Braised Seafood + Tofu in Clay Pot. Pair that with some rice and your set. This place was such a vibe! Totally recommend; all our food came out quick --- everything was made-to-order, and they got nothing wrong. 10 out of 10!

This person who took our order asked if there were any allergies, I said soy and her eyes lit up while she calming asked, 'soy-sauce', and I list soysauce and all the soy things that fall in that umbrella. I order my item, the chicken wings and item to share: the pan-fried dumplings, while my partner ordered one of the noodle soups. She comes back later and points out that the noodle soup has soy - much apperciated because people sometimes share, etc. And I said it was just for my partner. -- The chicken wings were plump, crispy, the first two were 'heathly', didn't taste the salt, and the rest were packed with flavor. If you're looking for consistency there is a #1 spot in Chinatown for chicken wings which I will not disclose in this review. But, otherwise, for flavor - I like it here. My partner said he didn't find the ones here oily but I said the bottom ones were a little and I did enjoy it. The panfried dumplings - the meat was succulent and delicious, I didn't think there was enough soup, these ones are smaller than other places, but the meat is massive. They were good, not my favorite ever, but I think the meat was the best hands-down anywhere. - It was very busy with perhaps locals and tourists. The table on our left were these two white men in the architeture field - super vulgar and sexist talking about people they don't like, it would defintely be an HR red flag. And then to the corner on the right, there was this little family who hadn't had soup dumplings before - the grown kids ate with their hands and the parents with forks (I love to see people trying new things), I didn't see all of this going on but I asked my partner who kept looking over.. Yes, my partner was judging you but kudos to trying new things however it is. - For large parties - you'll have to wait awhile. QR waitlist kiosk thing in at the front. ** I truly apperciate food safety and staff being attentive which makes patrons more confident and are able to make more safely informed decisions when ordering.
