Great portions and size for Dim Sum to go!! My favorite is the chicken sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf. That rice was cooked to perfection. I had to come back and buy 2 more to go! The pork bun was massive and so tasty. The shrimp hai Gao was perfect.

our go to dim sum spot in china town. we came pretty late into the day and the dumplings were delicious. the dough on the har gow was perfection. i was worried they were going to be on the dryer side since we came so late but i could be convinced they were freshly made!! price is a steal for the quality you get!

Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Took about 3 minutes to order but the inside is pretty small so had to wait outside. Waited around 10 minutes. As for the food, the price is SO affordable for what you get! It's really bang for your buck when you want to go dim sum. On top of that, it was pretty good. Would come back again!

Came here again while I was in Chinatown and yup, the Dim Sum still so fire here. I placed an order online because there's always a line here. But once I got there, I just asked one of the aunties and they handed me a pink bag. I got the basics: Har Gow, Siu Mai, and the Pork Bun. I enjoyed everything, but the Pork Bun was my bestie for a few minutes before it was devoured. Can't wait for my future visit!

We are so glad we stopped by here during our visit to Chinatown. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience, include. In case you are wondering, yes, they are very patient with non-Chinese speakers (or even people like me who attempt non-sensical broken Chinese). This is a spot where you take your dim sum to go. There is no dine-in option available, and it is a very small spot. There's enough room to order and enough room for one or two people to wait for their food (especially if there's a line). They have everything you can ask for from a dim sum shop, the selection is quite large, especially for such a small sized shop. Also, we came pretty late (around 11am), and they still had everything available. The prices are reasonable / good compared to the South Bay area (and all other parts of San Francisco). Their dim sum is decent sized, and most importantly, the taste and quality are fantastic. We basically ordered about 10 different items of all sorts, and all of it was delicious. They even have pork noodles / pork crepe noodles, which I haven't seen before (beef, shrimp, BBQ pork are the options I typically see). They also offer frozen dim sum in pretty much any of the options they sell which is great. We proceeded to over order to take a bunch home with us. We got to a point the lady was worried and asked us if we wanted to cut down our order since this would be way too much food for us (I appreciate her honesty). We ordered so much, she added dessert and some egg rolls for free to our order. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and get some food to go from here. Eat it later at home, or take it to your favorite spot and enjoy!

Once you enter, you can order using the kiosk or wait to order with the worker. The staff are very patient, but they're all about efficiency. It's a small and cozy place with no indoor seating so we just ate our food at the nearby park with benches that's above the Portsmouth Square parking garage. The expansive menu, portion sizes, and price are unbeatable!! My favorites were the BBQ pork bun, shu mai, and deep fried pork puff. I just wish the shrimp and beef rice noodles contained more meat because it was 80% noodles.

This is my second post on Dim Sum Bistro and I just have to say, this "hole in the wall" still does not disappoint! We went in for some takeout, such an easy process and left with some tried and true items such as steamed chicken sticky rice, pork and shrimp siu mai, chinese tamales, baked bbq pork buns and more! This place is very authentic for Chinese dim sum and the portions you buy are very generous. You won't be disappointed! Just be aware the sweet Chinese ladies behind the counter are not well versed in English.

Dim Sum Bistro in Chinatown San Francisco was must stop when waking around exploring. We popped in and ordered on their touch screen kiosk inside. Very easy to order, no seating inside. Today we tried the baked BBQ pork bun 4/5, steamed plain bun 5/5 and the pan-fried pork pot stickers 5/5. Delicious snack and would go back again for some dim sum.

Came here for a quick bite and got a steamed bbq pork bun. The portion was big for the price ($1.95) and had good flavor, but I've definitely had better.

The biggest and most inexpensive dim sum you will ever have. And it all tasted great! This dim sum is all to go, there is no place to sit down. Even though there were only a few people in front of us in line, it did take a while to order and receive food. But it was worth it. Everything was fresh and the portions were HUGE.

My friend ordered takeout from Dimsum Bistro and it was very good! She got a mix of dishes including steamed pork dumplings, shrimp shumai, meat buns, and the sticky rice wrapped in a leaf. Everything tasted really good even for takeout so I can't wait to try in person. I reheated the leftovers by steaming them for lunch the next day and they were just as delicious! I would definitely order again and looking forward to eating at the establishment too.

Reasonably priced and delicious dim sum! My friend brought me here once and I got to try a variety of their dim sum and it was pretty good for a takeout dim sum place. My review is specifically for their zong, or chinese tamales with green bean. I've been looking for a place that makes the kind of zong that I grew up eating, and they make that here! Love getting these for my zong cravings :) The buns here are delicious too! Tried the cha siu and the dai bao (taishan bun) -- both super delicious! Would definitely come again and get more of these to freeze up.

Pleasantly surprised as I was looking for my peanut mochis. Lo and behold, I found them here. I got so excited, I ordered 2 orders... and got 6 plump mochis that were chewy and very up to par. They had a machine to order, which was kinda cool. Ambiance was small and cozy. I look forward to returning to try other items!

Everything was delicious but if I pick a favorite, I think it would be the eggplant. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. It's a small restaurant so I would probably only come with 2-4 people. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Food came quickly and dishes had beautiful presentation. We shared the chili crisp pig head, clay pot rice with Chinese sausage and bacon, scallop vermicelli, and XO escargot with milk bread. I enjoyed the free bites of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. Chili crisp pig head was good but got a little too oily immediately. The slices were really thin and there were a bunch of good textures from the chili crisp and the veggies but was a little heavy due to sitting in plate of oil. Clay pot rice didn't stand out to me that much, the tong ho on top helped cut the heaviness at first but there were only ~5 leaves so it ended up being a little too saucy and heavy. I also would've appreciated more toppings in the clay pot rice and rice also didn't get scorched despite leaving it there for most of the meal. Scallop vermicelli wasn't bad, but definitely felt overpriced for essentially 1 piece of scallop and 3-5 bites of vermicelli. Last, the XO escargot with milk bread was unique but also ultimately too oily. The escargot sat in a pool of oil/butter/fats which got a bit too much too. I will say the flavor was definitely there though and the texture of escargot was good. The milk bread was great, smelled fresh and sweet with a soft crunch. Overall I think it was a fun experience to dine here and no regrets, but none of the dishes stood out to me too much in particular to where I'd be running back.

There will be a little bit of a wait if you come at lunchtime, but the changing of tables is so quick, it's worth the wait. My table got many items to try out, including a number of dumplings and main dishes. We have no complaints! The servers were on top of their game, and every time a menu item was brought out, they would cross it out at the table, to ensure all our food was brought out. Each dish came out piping hot (especially the dumpling and wontons), and my favorite main dish was definitely the Braised Seafood + Tofu in Clay Pot. Pair that with some rice and your set. This place was such a vibe! Totally recommend; all our food came out quick --- everything was made-to-order, and they got nothing wrong. 10 out of 10!

This person who took our order asked if there were any allergies, I said soy and her eyes lit up while she calming asked, 'soy-sauce', and I list soysauce and all the soy things that fall in that umbrella. I order my item, the chicken wings and item to share: the pan-fried dumplings, while my partner ordered one of the noodle soups. She comes back later and points out that the noodle soup has soy - much apperciated because people sometimes share, etc. And I said it was just for my partner. -- The chicken wings were plump, crispy, the first two were 'heathly', didn't taste the salt, and the rest were packed with flavor. If you're looking for consistency there is a #1 spot in Chinatown for chicken wings which I will not disclose in this review. But, otherwise, for flavor - I like it here. My partner said he didn't find the ones here oily but I said the bottom ones were a little and I did enjoy it. The panfried dumplings - the meat was succulent and delicious, I didn't think there was enough soup, these ones are smaller than other places, but the meat is massive. They were good, not my favorite ever, but I think the meat was the best hands-down anywhere. - It was very busy with perhaps locals and tourists. The table on our left were these two white men in the architeture field - super vulgar and sexist talking about people they don't like, it would defintely be an HR red flag. And then to the corner on the right, there was this little family who hadn't had soup dumplings before - the grown kids ate with their hands and the parents with forks (I love to see people trying new things), I didn't see all of this going on but I asked my partner who kept looking over.. Yes, my partner was judging you but kudos to trying new things however it is. - For large parties - you'll have to wait awhile. QR waitlist kiosk thing in at the front. ** I truly apperciate food safety and staff being attentive which makes patrons more confident and are able to make more safely informed decisions when ordering.
