I stopped by this West Philly University City location at around 600am on a Saturday morning. There was fully accessible parking right outside the door and there was a line of about 5 customers which moved with precision. The counter person was very professional, welcoming & patient. I asked her various questions about the menu & she took time to fully listen & provide explanations with the crowd that was constantly moving in & out. The atmosphere was bright & bustling. The food was fresh. The store was clean. Service so quick and efficient it's almost unreal. It's a good place to go if you want to grab a quick breakfast on the go... Except why the flying fk was there this chipotle sauce on my turkey, bacon, and egg on a French roll? I just went to look at their items and it says nothing about this sauce, so that annoyed the hell out of me. As much as I like spicy stuff, I don't want it in a breakfast roll. Maybe for hot wings. Break down: 2 stars for food and 1 star for efficient service. This place gets it that people want to be in and out (not the west coast burger place!). I have had some great breakfast english muffins so it's hard for me to give anything more than a three here, but like I said.... It's convenient when you are in a hurry. I love how accessible this Dunkin is so I can pick up my favorite coffee before or after class! I am in love with their iced coffee and flavorings. Their bagel was okay but their hashbrowns were delicious. The bagel was a bit too tough on the outside. However, their service is great. I had one cashier and he was so kind and had a big smile on his face. Seeing his smile made me happier. Moreover, I accidentally ordered my coffee too sweet and asked the person if I can add more iced coffee to it because I messed up and she changed my drink for me right away and gave me suggestions for what I should get next time. I told her sorry and she said I had no reason to be sorry. The service here is marvelous and I love getting breakfast and my coffee here. It's very quick and delicious. I normally stop by on my way to work at around 7:15 in the morning and the staff is always super sweet and friendly. This Dunkin is more of a stop-and-go type. It's on the smaller side with no tables, just a window table/bar. I normally pick up a caramel iced coffee with cream, sugar + light ice, sometimes with hashbrowns or a bagel. My orders never take more than 3-5 minutes to come out and everything's always perfectly toasted so it's crispy but not burnt. For anyone that gets iced coffee and takes slow sips throughout the day, I'd recommend getting light ice. They only put just enough to make it cold so you don't have to worry about your drink getting too watery and diluted! read more

I went here today to buy a $40 gift card for a friend. They said that in order to purchase over a gift card of 20.00, I needed to pay cash. And in order to get a gift card, I needed to show them a government issued ID. I have never had to do this at any other store before. When I pushed on the details of the limit, they said that that "is their policy." When I asked if it was DD's policy, they said it was their franchise's policy. And then when I said, can't I just come back an hour later and pay with my card again, the Asian woman (I assuming she is the franchise owner) seemed confused on the details of "her" policy. Seems about right for these businesses in Philly. If I want to spend my own money to purchase a gift card, I shouldn't be prevented from doing so. Best coffee there is, hands down. I always get the same drink: small iced coffee with mocha, skim milk, and sugar. I've never tasted anything quite like it, and I always make it a point to try iced mochas wherever I go. Nothing beats the taste here. They just renovated this location this past summer so I don't know what it was like before. Currently, the staff are super fast, friendly and often remember my order (though I typically switch it up from time to time). Even when there's a line, they blow through the orders insanely fast. And I love me some dunkin donuts coffee: iced or hot. It can get a bit crowded at peak times, especially near the door where the napkins and condiments are. I've been here at least 20 times over the past 6 months at many different times and I'm always in and out within 3 minutes (it actually is a bit frightening how quickly they can make my coffee + egg mc-muffiny thing in front of me). One of the few places I will go to directly before an exam when time is super tight. Tried the coffee here about 7-8 times (once it was an iced coffee). The first time, the coffee was honestly amazing. Fresh, had a good flavor, etc. However, the second time I came back, it was horrible!! Sour tasting (which I found out later happens when the coffee has been sitting for two long). It was actually so bad that I couldn't drink it and just had to throw it out. Kept going back and kept getting sour cups of crap (inadvertent reference to the Austin Powers movie). Finally, I decided that I had wasted more than enough money here chasing after the elusive perfect cup of coffee. I come here way too often! There are many choices for fast food and coffee around Penn's campus, and I usually choose this Dunkin Donuts. Why? a) The service is fast and friendly--I appreciate that food service is not the most fun job, but the people working here are gracious and sweet. b) The prices are low esp. compared to nearby alternatives. c) While the decaf isn't always on the go, the staff will always put a pot on for me and it's ready in no time. 4 stars only because I'd prefer to recommend healthy food! read more

I've always been lukewarm on Dunkin Donuts because of the service. I've tried it multiple times in an attempt to lower my morning coffee bill, but have had generally sub-par experiences. I started going to this location because a friend gave me some coupons and I'm so glad I did! The employees here are great - friendly and efficient. The line is often out the door, but I'm always in and out in under ten minutes. This location is very small and it can get crowded inside, but they are so efficient that I'm never standing around for long. I love the pumpkin iced coffee with skim milk. It's the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor and a great yummy drink that's relatively low cal (120 calories for a small). I will definitely try the other flavors once I can tear myself away from the pumpkin. I am also a big of the egg white flatbreads - great option for breakfast. This DD location is a gem! read more

This Dunkin is pretty standard. Waits are pretty long during rush hour but the staff is efficient and professional. I was here at about 8:00pm on a Sunday, looking for a donut fix. I haven't been to a Dunkin in years, so the young man at the counter was really really helpful and incredibly sweet. He was also dashingly handsome and irresistibly delicious, much like the cup of munchkins he managed to convince me to try. He was speedy quick...but not like that. I visited this establishment at around 9am on 2/10/19. First, I ordered a hot coffee, but they gave me an iced coffee. I decided to just take that drink to not be a hassle. After I started drinking the beverage, I noticed that there was chewed gum at the bottom of the beverage. I was absolutely disgusted and could not believe it! I submitted a complaint to Dunkin's corporate, but have yet to hear a response. I am disappointed with the service I have received especially since I have been a customer for years! Nothing wrong with a little Double D every now and then. Not as good as many local coffee shops, Double D is by far the best of the chains (suck it Bucks!) The stores do vary a bit, but I've always had faovrable reviews of this one. Coffee is always fresh, staff is pleasant,empty during the summers. However, during the school year it can get swamped with UPenn hordes (although the staff does a good job of moving people through a relatively small store.) A good DD option. read more

So are you all ready for my sad, sad story? Back in March, on my birthday, I stopped by Dunkin' for a quick breakfast sandwich on my way to work. I hadn't eaten anything even though it was pretty late for breakfast for me, and I felt better once I had something in my stomach. However, that quickly turned around when I began to feel slightly nauseated. I thought maybe I was just having an off day, so I left work a bit early and headed home for a nap, hoping that I'd feel better afterwards and could continue on with my birthday night plans. This did not happen. I woke up, and proceeded to empty the contents of my stomach until just after midnight. If I was going to get sick on my birthday, it should have been from excessive amounts of alcohol, not a breakfast sandwich. Of course, I can't prove it was the sandwich, but it was the ONLY thing I ate the entire day, and once it was out of my body I felt tons better. I don't want to tell anyone to never eat a sandwich there again, because I've had quite a few sandwiches that left me feeling completely fine, but just be careful.
