They went way over the budget we had discussed, and they were very slow to respond to any correspondence. The car agreed to buy was to be in complete "like new" working order. The AC did not work in the heat of August. Sidco requested we return the car for repair which we did, but then after driving all the way to Forth Worth where they are located from down town Dallas, Sidco wanted to keep our already purchased vehicle for an extended amount of time without providing a loaner car. (again, they advertised the car to be in like new condition, but the vehicle we purchased from them was not. They should have provided an alternate vehicle while the one we had just purchased was getting repaired) What Sidco Auto says they provide, is not what they delivered. It has been awful! We did not get the exact model discussed, AC did not work, they went way over our budget which our lender would not cover. Now they will not pay for our out of pocket expenses on the repair of our AC. If you are not an expert in used cars, or auctions yourself, just stick with Kelly Blue Book, Consumer Reports and go to a reputable name brand dealer.

They even had someone drive it over that day from the Grand Prairie lot so that we could test drive it. Jesse was our salesman and he is really great! Very nice and he has amazing customer service. Honestly the whole staff is amazing. They have very reasonable down payments and the monthly payments are perfect. You can even get insurance through them. After being served with a formal cease and desist demanding they stop tampering with my vehicle, they continued their harassment. They never responded to my 10-day demand letter for my down payment and instead escalated their behavior in the most disturbing ways. They began remotely accessing my Tesla--setting off alarms at night, popping the trunk, and worst of all: turning the heat on while my ADA-certified service dog was locked inside on a scorching day. She suffered heat stroke and had to be rushed to the vet. This wasn't an accident. It was a cruel, calculated action--and I now have a police report documenting it. They were fair with us from the start, especially considering a few factors involved in our financing, and at no point did we feel like they were trying to rip us off. There was no haggling, the interest rates were fair, and the process felt straightforward and honest. Mike was especially kind throughout the entire experience. We actually had an unexpected situation happen while we were financing over the phone -- another customer came in and bought the car we originally wanted. At first, I honestly thought we were being upsold and taken advantage of (sorry, Mike), and I definitely let him have an earful about it. To his credit, Mike stayed completely professional, patient, and respectful. He took the time to fully explain what happened, answered every question honestly, and never got defensive. What could have been a terrible experience ended up turning into one where we still felt valued as customers. We ultimately decided to buy from them anyway because of how Mike handled everything. I purchased a truck from this dealership at the end of 2015. I decided to write a review now, in…read more2019, because a few things have always bothered me about the transaction. Here they are. They told me there had been one previous owner, that was true. They told me it was a commuter vehicle, explicitly claiming it was not a work truck. The first time time I washed it, a business logo appeared on the back windows. It can only be seen in certain light, with a thin layer of moisture applied. But, it does seem like it was, in fact, a work truck. Next up, come time around a year after purchase. Paint on hood, bumper and above wheels faded. The paint does not appear to be original on these parts. Lost their shine. I would speculate they aren't even the original parts. I do not know the details, but reviewing the carfax I see the vehicle was partially rebuilt just before the ownership transferred from the original owner to Charlton. But they did not mention that. Did they not know? Or did they just lie to me?. I guess when the dealer tells you something to your face, you have to check the carfax and not trust what they tell you. But I did not know that. I was young and naive (still am maybe). Thirdly, the salesman mentioned he had been driving the vehicle personally prior to the sale. I would rather not know that the salesmen drive around in the vehicles until they are sold. That kind of taints the experience, eh? Fourthly, when going over financials, the salesman asked how I made my money and complimented my salary. Next, he bragged that he, in fact, made more money than I did. Well, good for him. Not quite so professional, huh?

Had to return to get my vehicle inspected as they could not do it at sale time as the vehicle had an issue they did not fix. When using their finance they will tell you 2 hard hits which became 3 hard hits to the credit report after I was clear I would not accept more than 2. Response: Thats what happens. Did not complete the work they were supposed to do and agreed to do. The vehicle had a check engine light at purchase time, they replaced an O2 Sensor and said it was fixed. 19 miles later the light came back on. In a txt message they replied "Looks like we will have to replace the catalytic converter" They knew it was bad and tried to get away with it. I returned the vehicle and they sent it to the Manufacturer dealership for repair under factory warranty. A review of the Huffines Dealership will be separate from this one as Huffines was horribly slow. They were supposed to replace the trailer wiring that had been cut and install a replacement wiring harness for a 4 prong trailer connector. The sales guy said Yes it is right under here. Went to hook up my trailer and got under to find it.. Not there.. I just ordered myself a 7 to 4 adapter so as not to go back to this place. Not a big deal but why lie about it. What else did they lie about I wonder. During the time my new vehicle was in the dealership Charlton provided a loaner car. This car smelled of cigarette smoke so bad I could not sit in it. They did not have another and asked me to Febreeze the car. Seriously I can show you the txt message on this. So that sat outside not being used as the stench was horrendous. Maybe this was a horrid sales guy, maybe a one off occurrence but frankly I would say to go somewhere else when looking based on my experience.
