The food is always delicious here! The spices that they use for the food is delicious. Perfectly balanced flavors and spicy! The skewers here don't disappoint and are a good amount of meat per skewer. The decor inside makes you feel like you're back in time. On occasion they'll have live music as well. The staff has always been amazing, and hardworking. Always love coming here!!

The food was ok not great, portion is small. The lamb skewer had weird meat texture. I believed it was either random garbage meat or wrong order. Ambiance was very nice. Elegant, peaceful and quiet, it was aesthetically decorated with traditional Chinese architectural elements. Service was also noted. Servers were respectful and friendly. The wait time was too long. We waited for 45 min. I wad told the wait is always long and they are quite busy. If you don't want the long wait, try to come within an hour of their opening. I wasn't impressed by the food but will probably give them another try in the future.

Located conveniently at the boundary of Cupertino and Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, this place is very poplar especially on weekend evenings. I like the taste of the decoration and its vibe. The dishes were made quickly, good flavor, with all kinds of flavor that you'd like in a BBQ - a bit spicyness, some herb smells, as well as a hint of sweetness. The only complaint was that the waitline was a bit too long, it'll be nice to have an estimate of wait time when people put their names in the waitlist.

Solid Chinese skewers. I really really liked the beef. All meats were juicy. I liked the lamb, but I felt like the seasoning was a just a TAD bit on the lighter side for my taste on the lamb. Chicken skin was fire. I did make a mistake and order the king of kings sausage (I think that's what it was called?) and it was a regular glizzy (even tasted kind of like a vegan sausage, worse than Costco glizzies), don't order that!!! Make sure you get the Taiwanese sausage if you want a sausage skewer!!!!

Busy place with a line even at late night! But it's really worth the wait. Easy to order from their online system, wide selection of foods, fast preparation and the staff will even remind you to start from some of the food first because some of them will taste better at warmer temperatures. Everything tasted really delicious, good flavors, perfect texture. Can't wait to come back again!

Really good Chinese bbq!!! Same seasoning/style throughout all the skewers. lamb skewers (particularly the lambchop) and chicken gristle was my fav (luis didn't grow up eating gristles so the texture threw him off and he thought he had to spit out bones LOL-- so a no for him!!) + mushrooms + achoy were my other favs Other ones we ordered: Pork (also yum), chicken, beef, chives, corn, potatoes Spicy sour noodles: great flavor! Why do I wish this was cold? I think it'd be helpful for the noodles to be cut as it was definitely a bit difficult to eat. Cucumber salad: definitely order The restaurant itself is very spacious and feels like it's transporting you outside of Cali lol, live music on some days! Attentive service. Waiter helped us with instructions for the drinking game.

Probably my favorite Chinese skewer restaurant yet. We as a party of 5 came on a Sunday around 12:20pm and got seated around 1:00PM as we missed the first wave of people who got seated right when they opened at 12PM. The restaurant had a lot of open tables after the first wave of people around 2-2:30PM. Everything was perfectly seasoned, wasn't really spicy at all and they came out with the A-Choy first to lay on their hot plate that they lit candles underneath of so the food stays warm. The lamb/beef skewers, A-Choy and tripe were definitely my favorites. We also ordered the garlic eggplant that was served on a dish with a ton of slightly pickled garlic. The eggplant had an entire layer of this garlic but the eggplant was grilled on the bottom, but a little mushy -- still good. We also ordered the tripe skewers that came first along with the A-choy that was in a separate bowl filled with broth and a thick layer of chili oil. The flavor of the tripe skewers were also spot-on and not as oily as it looked. They also have some white buns that were crisp and sweet so would definitely get that towards the end as a dessert. I would definitely come back over and over again.

Hubby spotted this place on his way to the gym. We stopped in for dinner. Joined the waitlist and waited a good 30-45 minutes. Interior decor is beautiful. See photos. We felt like we were dining in a private booth. We ordered several skewers. Quail egg: 3/5 justes tasted mushy Pork: 5/5 fatty and tasty Beef: 5/5 very good Beef tendon: 3/5 just ok Chicken skin: 4/5 crispy but probably wouldn't get this again Gizzard: 4/5 good and chewy Beef tongue: 5/5 good! A- choy: 5/5 very good! Bacon and enochi: 3/5 you get 3, ok Good service, reasonable prices, good amount of meat. All the skewers seemed to have the same seasoning/spices. Glad we tried something new.

Pretty good and mostly comparable to the San Mateo location for the most part. I think the San Mateo location is still the best for this kind of food but this location is close enough. It seems less busy than SM as well which is a plus, as the San Mateo location can get really busy to the point where you're waiting outside for ~30 minutes to get a table. I think the menu is mostly all the same and everything was good except for the chicken heart which was way overcooked to the point of almost being impossible to chew. Also, I think my friend got some sort of food poisoning from the pig brain dish as he felt very bad afterward. So avoid those dishes and you should be good to go for the most part.

Beef and lamb skewers 5/5. Enoki mushroom5/5. Bacon and enoki 5/5. Chicken wings 3/5. A-Choy and rice for filler 5/5

Very nice Chinese bbq with its distinct sichuan/Shaokao flavor. The portion to price is decent . Some places give you 10 skewers, but really thin and heavily seasoned. This place gives two large skewers per order with enough meat to pair with your noodles or rice. It was enough for my partner and I and we got to try more variety in this way. The spice was also perfect for me- not too salty or spicy. The whole atmosphere and decor also added to the dining experience and everything paired well with the green apple sake on the side. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

If you want some authentic chinese skewers, this is the spot We came on a thursday after work and it was already packed - had a line. There is plenty of parking so no worries. You order on the phone and they bring the food out as it comes. The lamb beef and the tripe in chili oil were my favorite. It is pretty nice to sit in, you get your own little booth so you wont be able to hear many people around you so you can still have a conversation. 100% would recommend.

Went here with a bunch of friends and had an amazing time. This place is not too big so it doesn't really get loud. As you walk in you'll see someone playing a Chinese harp which was a cool experience. Our orders came out pretty fast as you'll order from the your phone. I recommended the lamb and beef skewers, so tender and juicy. The veggies are great too and they give you a lot. I didn't drink but everyone else did and the shots were light so don't expect to get tipsy. Overall everything was good and they give you a lot of rice too so I'd share with someone. Only thing I would stay away from is the stinky tofu. Not many can handle it and I'm one of them.

Came on a Sunday for dinner and we were seated immediately. You scan the QR code at your table and select the skewers and other items you want. The skewers are already cooked when the staff brings them to your table, and they lay them on the heated plate to keep the food warm. My favorite items would have to be the beef, pork, and enoki mushroom skewers. I also really enjoyed the veggie and quail egg skewers. Cucumber salad came as a huge portion with lots of peanuts which was easily shareable and very delicious. We also got the eggplant which in hindsight we could've gotten one order to share because it was also a huge portion. Note that it comes with A LOT of garlic and the eggplant can be mushy which I was personally fine with. It's a pretty popular spot so definitely come when it's not peak hours.

I stopped by this restaurant during a business trip to relive out my childhood. Nothing about this place has changed, in a good way! Let's break it down Service You order your food at the front, but can also have someone come to your table and order. Everyone is nice and welcoming, and will help you order if you feel overwhelmed by the amount of choices. Ambiance It looks and feels like your neighborhood bbq restaurant, with matching music chairs and tablecloths. They have light rock or country playing in the background and it's not too loud in there. I went during lunch time and there were guests sprinkled about the tables. Food The food was amazing! It was cooked to perfection, and you can choose from many bbq sauces available. I ended up getting the pork beef and chicken, with corn bread and potato salad. Their potato salad was to die for! The only thing that I guess I was shocked by was the price. My meal came out to around 6 dollars after tip, and I thought it would be closer to 30. All in all, I give this spot a 4/5 would recommend!

I've been to 3 others Redwood City BBQ, South Winchester BBQ (San Jose), and Canyon's BBQ (Castro Valley) and I've reviewed most of those quite favorably, except for 1. But they have about 4 others that I haven't been but are on my list. I guess now I'll know they are more the same than they are different. I knew walking in that I was going to like it. A strong aroma of wood smoke hugs you upon entering. A cool mural outside, lots of beers and bbq on the tables, cool tunes that was all over the place genre wise. 2 Meat Combo ($26/4.5*) Crazy solid combo. Not as juicy as I would prefer but between the perfect smoke content and their seasoning just makes me happy enough. Brisket: Their brisket is awesome. Not as juicy as some of the top notch places here in the Bay, but the flavor was perfect for me. Assertive smokiness without being overbearing. Get a piece with a good layer of fat and it was basically hearty beef bacon. I rarely put sauce on brisket but theirs is not bad, maybe just a dot or 2. Ribs: Also drier than what I like but the flavor and meaty texture was enough for me. Definitely have to pull these off the bone a bit, does not easily fall off, which I actually prefer. I like toothsome versus mushy meat. These ribs do have a layer of bbq sauce cooked into them, so it has a sweet and tangy flavor already in it. But they still can accept extra sauce, as it will not only moisten the ribs further but it will amp up the tang and sweetness that pork ribs are natural for. Tried 2 sides, beans and coleslaw. The beans aren't the super sweet kind, which I liked. More chili-like very hearty and complimenting to the smoky bbq. The slaw was perfect, crisp with a creamy yet slightly sweet dressing. Crazy good, I could actually eat their sides alone as a meal. Their corn bread here is strange. It is cooked in a sheetpan and cut into squares much like a brownie. But that square is then griddled til golden brown so I totally thought it was garlic bread at first. The other bbq spots I tried from this same company didn't make corn bread like that, so this was a first for me. Probably the only miss for me here. Also tried a half pound of Tri Tip ($20/4*) Very meaty that they were able to keep it a nice pink medium, which I like. But much milder in smoke than their brisket and ribs. I ended up making sandwiches with these at home. They are sliced pretty thick so you may have to slice some of them further. It bites easier in thinner slices versus monster thick slices that will pull out of the bread with each bite. I learned that on this out so just throwing out a tip. A solid bbq throwdown with a cold frosty one, plus lots of leftovers for work lunches the next few days, is just an out I can repeat over and over. Glad I found this spot!

My partner and I were craving brisket so we both ordered the same thing! Now usually we get two different things to share when we dine out, but we both didn't want to give up our brisket cravings, so alas - two LARGE orders of brisket were what we got! The brisket was delicious and tender. The end piece was too salty though, but the rest of it was tasty and had just the right amount of fat. There were about 6 small slices of brisket in the LARGE portion ($27.50) and it included 2 sides and a slice of bread. We got mac & cheese (yum), coleslaw (unique in that it didn't have much liquid but it was good!) and potato salad (also delicious!) to try. The cashier was pleasant, but otherwise there wasn't any extra service provided. We had to get our own utensils and napkins, and we had to pick up our own food when it was ready after our name was called, and we also had to get our own takeout containers and bus our own tables when we were finished! Food pricing was on the higher side. So tipping generously on a high priced meal seemed to be a little much for what we got, just sayin'! At least the food was prepared quickly. There was lots of seating both indoors and outdoors, and a full bar with a lot of draft beers and TVs - a good place to watch those sport games!

There is beer, wine, liquor inside. Longer benches for families and friends. This place rocked it for me. I am from the Bay but live in San Diego now, have kids and stuff. Came with another family and the kids just had so much fun running around. The dude and I had fun playing golf, wife and her friend had fun chatting on the side. The food here is excellent. I wouldn't say its the best BBQ in the states but it's certainly better than anything in San Diego. I simply got the chicken tacos and a couple glasses of wine. The chicken tacos were great, flavorful, well seasoned. They're a bit steep at $23 for 3 tacos but well sized and worth it. Whenever I'm vising from out of town and have family with me we'll likely stop here. It's great.

I had a taste for Chinese, so I ordered sweet & sour chicken, white rice, and a small wonton soup via delivery. The sweet & sour chicken was probably the best I've ever tasted. The chicken was tender and the flavor of the sauce was perfection. The portion was huge, too. My delivery arrived piping hot. The wonton soup was also delicious. A small is enough for two people. In addition to wontons, the soup contained pieces of beef, cabbage, broccoli, and more. I would have liked the broth to be more flavorful, but it was still good. Can't wait to try more dishes from Be Wok.

Solid and quite a good value. This is really more of a takeout place, so no real ambiance to speak…read moreof. They have an ordering screen that you can place your orders at if you prefer to ordering with the person at the counter. The food takes a very reasonable amount of time to come out, so no complaints there. How is the taste and how good is the food? Well, the value for your money is very strong, because the portions are very large as you can see in the picture. Because my bento plate did have 4 proteins (teriyaki beef, chicken, fried fish, and a slice of spam), each portion was on the lighter side, but put together, it was generous. This is one of those times where you (meaning I) knew there's no way I could comfortably finish the whole plate without feeling uncomfortably full, so I ate a little over half and had a the core of a nice leftover meal for the next day. But back to the taste. The teriyaki beef I thought was good, and true to Hawaiian style where it was more sweet than salty. Quite good. Similar with the chicken - very solid. The fried fish was nothing to write home about - battery was a little soggy, served with tartar sauce - nothing really screamed Hawaiian about the fish. The spam slice was kind of thin and didn't seem to be cooked in any particular Hawaiian style - some shoyu with brown sugar would have made it more special. It was a little dry too. The rice was white rice, just fine and quite a bit of it. The chow mein was fine, nothing special, but nothing wrong with it other than lacking a bit of flavor. But given the higher degree of seasoning on the beef and chicken (and how inherently salty spam is!), it was just fine. Cuts a bit of the salt. Measured against real Hawaiian food you might get at a good plate lunch place in Maui or Kauai, the food is probably a 3. But given there just aren't a lot of really good Hawaiian places in the Bay Area, I'd give it a 4, especially considering the generous amounts of food. I'd have no issue coming back here again and would happily have the beef and chicken any time.

We had four people and still had to try pretty hard to finish everything (and we ordered a couple of other dishes too ). The meat quality was really good. The steak was cooked perfectly, and I especially loved the beef short ribs -- super juicy and flavorful. Our server was also amazing! He was very friendly and helped grill the meat for us the entire time. Everything was cooked perfectly. The combo comes with so much more than just meat: lots of banchan and dipping sauces, soup, steamed egg, tofu, corn cheese, braised pork, fruit, lettuce, etc. The whole table was basically covered with food. Definitely a great value for the amount you get. Their menu is pretty extensive too, with Korean dishes like grilled intestines, beef bone hot pot, gamjatang, stone pot rice, and tteokbokki. We were way too full to try more this time, but definitely want to come back and explore the rest of the menu. Great food, generous portions, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!
