The food is always delicious here! The spices that they use for the food is delicious. Perfectly balanced flavors and spicy! The skewers here don't disappoint and are a good amount of meat per skewer. The decor inside makes you feel like you're back in time. On occasion they'll have live music as well. The staff has always been amazing, and hardworking. Always love coming here!!

The food was ok not great, portion is small. The lamb skewer had weird meat texture. I believed it was either random garbage meat or wrong order. Ambiance was very nice. Elegant, peaceful and quiet, it was aesthetically decorated with traditional Chinese architectural elements. Service was also noted. Servers were respectful and friendly. The wait time was too long. We waited for 45 min. I wad told the wait is always long and they are quite busy. If you don't want the long wait, try to come within an hour of their opening. I wasn't impressed by the food but will probably give them another try in the future.

Located conveniently at the boundary of Cupertino and Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, this place is very poplar especially on weekend evenings. I like the taste of the decoration and its vibe. The dishes were made quickly, good flavor, with all kinds of flavor that you'd like in a BBQ - a bit spicyness, some herb smells, as well as a hint of sweetness. The only complaint was that the waitline was a bit too long, it'll be nice to have an estimate of wait time when people put their names in the waitlist.

Solid Chinese skewers. I really really liked the beef. All meats were juicy. I liked the lamb, but I felt like the seasoning was a just a TAD bit on the lighter side for my taste on the lamb. Chicken skin was fire. I did make a mistake and order the king of kings sausage (I think that's what it was called?) and it was a regular glizzy (even tasted kind of like a vegan sausage, worse than Costco glizzies), don't order that!!! Make sure you get the Taiwanese sausage if you want a sausage skewer!!!!

Busy place with a line even at late night! But it's really worth the wait. Easy to order from their online system, wide selection of foods, fast preparation and the staff will even remind you to start from some of the food first because some of them will taste better at warmer temperatures. Everything tasted really delicious, good flavors, perfect texture. Can't wait to come back again!

Really good Chinese bbq!!! Same seasoning/style throughout all the skewers. lamb skewers (particularly the lambchop) and chicken gristle was my fav (luis didn't grow up eating gristles so the texture threw him off and he thought he had to spit out bones LOL-- so a no for him!!) + mushrooms + achoy were my other favs Other ones we ordered: Pork (also yum), chicken, beef, chives, corn, potatoes Spicy sour noodles: great flavor! Why do I wish this was cold? I think it'd be helpful for the noodles to be cut as it was definitely a bit difficult to eat. Cucumber salad: definitely order The restaurant itself is very spacious and feels like it's transporting you outside of Cali lol, live music on some days! Attentive service. Waiter helped us with instructions for the drinking game.

Probably my favorite Chinese skewer restaurant yet. We as a party of 5 came on a Sunday around 12:20pm and got seated around 1:00PM as we missed the first wave of people who got seated right when they opened at 12PM. The restaurant had a lot of open tables after the first wave of people around 2-2:30PM. Everything was perfectly seasoned, wasn't really spicy at all and they came out with the A-Choy first to lay on their hot plate that they lit candles underneath of so the food stays warm. The lamb/beef skewers, A-Choy and tripe were definitely my favorites. We also ordered the garlic eggplant that was served on a dish with a ton of slightly pickled garlic. The eggplant had an entire layer of this garlic but the eggplant was grilled on the bottom, but a little mushy -- still good. We also ordered the tripe skewers that came first along with the A-choy that was in a separate bowl filled with broth and a thick layer of chili oil. The flavor of the tripe skewers were also spot-on and not as oily as it looked. They also have some white buns that were crisp and sweet so would definitely get that towards the end as a dessert. I would definitely come back over and over again.

Hubby spotted this place on his way to the gym. We stopped in for dinner. Joined the waitlist and waited a good 30-45 minutes. Interior decor is beautiful. See photos. We felt like we were dining in a private booth. We ordered several skewers. Quail egg: 3/5 justes tasted mushy Pork: 5/5 fatty and tasty Beef: 5/5 very good Beef tendon: 3/5 just ok Chicken skin: 4/5 crispy but probably wouldn't get this again Gizzard: 4/5 good and chewy Beef tongue: 5/5 good! A- choy: 5/5 very good! Bacon and enochi: 3/5 you get 3, ok Good service, reasonable prices, good amount of meat. All the skewers seemed to have the same seasoning/spices. Glad we tried something new.

Pretty good and mostly comparable to the San Mateo location for the most part. I think the San Mateo location is still the best for this kind of food but this location is close enough. It seems less busy than SM as well which is a plus, as the San Mateo location can get really busy to the point where you're waiting outside for ~30 minutes to get a table. I think the menu is mostly all the same and everything was good except for the chicken heart which was way overcooked to the point of almost being impossible to chew. Also, I think my friend got some sort of food poisoning from the pig brain dish as he felt very bad afterward. So avoid those dishes and you should be good to go for the most part.

Very nice Chinese bbq with its distinct sichuan/Shaokao flavor. The portion to price is decent . Some places give you 10 skewers, but really thin and heavily seasoned. This place gives two large skewers per order with enough meat to pair with your noodles or rice. It was enough for my partner and I and we got to try more variety in this way. The spice was also perfect for me- not too salty or spicy. The whole atmosphere and decor also added to the dining experience and everything paired well with the green apple sake on the side. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.

If you want some authentic chinese skewers, this is the spot We came on a thursday after work and it was already packed - had a line. There is plenty of parking so no worries. You order on the phone and they bring the food out as it comes. The lamb beef and the tripe in chili oil were my favorite. It is pretty nice to sit in, you get your own little booth so you wont be able to hear many people around you so you can still have a conversation. 100% would recommend.

Went here with a bunch of friends and had an amazing time. This place is not too big so it doesn't really get loud. As you walk in you'll see someone playing a Chinese harp which was a cool experience. Our orders came out pretty fast as you'll order from the your phone. I recommended the lamb and beef skewers, so tender and juicy. The veggies are great too and they give you a lot. I didn't drink but everyone else did and the shots were light so don't expect to get tipsy. Overall everything was good and they give you a lot of rice too so I'd share with someone. Only thing I would stay away from is the stinky tofu. Not many can handle it and I'm one of them.

Came on a Sunday for dinner and we were seated immediately. You scan the QR code at your table and select the skewers and other items you want. The skewers are already cooked when the staff brings them to your table, and they lay them on the heated plate to keep the food warm. My favorite items would have to be the beef, pork, and enoki mushroom skewers. I also really enjoyed the veggie and quail egg skewers. Cucumber salad came as a huge portion with lots of peanuts which was easily shareable and very delicious. We also got the eggplant which in hindsight we could've gotten one order to share because it was also a huge portion. Note that it comes with A LOT of garlic and the eggplant can be mushy which I was personally fine with. It's a pretty popular spot so definitely come when it's not peak hours.

On a Saturday at 6 pm, we easily found a parking place and were seated immediately. The attractive ambience, harp music, and friendly service were our favorite part of the experience. The harp music started at 6 pm. You order via QRC code, but the waiter was happy to review the order and provide input on spiciness and recommendations. The waiters wore masks. We found the food to be inexpensive at $30 total for dinner for 2. Liked: lamb skewers (recommended by waiter over beef), home-style cold mixed vegetables (like julienned salad with sesame dressing, recommended by waiter over cucumber salad), A-choy skewer Alright: chicken wings & small yellow croaker (both were a bit hard to eat without using fingers & lacked flavor) Didn't like: chives (stringy, not flavorful) Next time, we might increase our order to add beef skewers. read more

Really awesome spot! Recently opened, the interior decor is quite over the top, with a live Chinese harp player. Staff is super friendly, really happy to give recommendations and were constantly checking in on us. We went on a weekday for dinner, and the wait was around ~20 minutes; you can check in on Yelp though, so highly recommend doing that. We got a bunch of skewers; can't really go wrong there, just pick whatever meat/meat part you enjoy. The eggplant is a must get; super interesting creamy texture and the flavoring works wonderfully with the milder base. The spicy and sour sweet potato noodles were also great. Noodles had a nice bouncy texture, combined with the acidic and well balanced soup. The one dish I would skip is the signature mao cai. It's similar to a hotpot; just a bunch of ingredients dunked into a broth. Wasn't crazy for it. Overall, great spot! read more

Honestly, this place was a letdown. The food was decent, but nothing that would make me rush back. The real issue was the awful customer service. Our server was in such a hurry that they tossed our utensils on the table like we were inconveniencing them. Same with the to-go box--just flung it down without a word. Our server wasn't rude at first, but he wasn't welcoming either. Just did the bare minimum, which, in my opinion, didn't deserve a generous tip. When I left a 10% tip, though, he clearly didn't take it well. The interior does look nice, but the seating is a major problem. You're basically eating right in front of the door, so everyone walking by gets a front-row view of your meal. Not exactly the most comfortable vibe. If you're looking for a relaxing dining experience or any sense of hospitality, this is not the place. read more

We were buying irrigation parts from the Outdoor Supply Hardware Store next door (excellent service by the way), and we stopped by this place on a whim. Glad we tried it. We were told this was northeastern Chinese BBQ so it tasted different than your average Chinese food. We tried the lamb, beef, stinky tofu and mushroom skewers and the cold veggie/tofu salad. All very tasty and the service was efficient. You order through a QR code that you scan using your iPhone and if you sign up, you get reward points. They have live Chinese traditional music (some type of Chinese string instrument), which was kind of cool. However, we were seated at the last table by the kitchen/registers so we couldn't really enjoy that because that area had a lot of activities so it was a bit noisy. We would definitely go back but get one of the other tables in the front of the restaurant. read more

I took my brother here for a graduation celebration and it was great here! The decor was beautiful and had a nice aesthetic! You definitely gonna need to book a reservation ahead of time though otherwise you might be waiting a while. Also be prepared to wait awhile for the food and it is suggested you order all your food all at once to help the waiting time. The food is flavorful but this style has only one type of seasoning of the meat but a lot of variety in types of meat you can try. Can be an entry to try something new like chicken hearts and beef tongue (crispy to perfection!). It's also reasonably priced in account for the experience and the food read more

I've tried the Dynasty Bbq in San Mateo and was wondering if this new location would live up to the expectations of the other one. When you first step in, you're met with beautiful decor and the location is very well kept and clean. The waiters were very attentive to us and explained how to order. The food is presented on a heated cast iron tray and they cook the skewers in their kitchen. All the food is perfectly seasoned and our favorite was the lamb and cucumbers. The rice was perfect to pair with all the food and everything was delicious. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

Food here gave half of our group stomach ache and diarrhea literally right after the meal. BEWARE: the sign outside the door said 18% auto tip will be applied to table OVER 5. We went as a group of 5 people and the server changed the tip to 18% saying it's for a table of 5 or more. I honestly don't mind paying the tip but it should've been clear from the beginning. read more

If I could, I would give zero or negative stars. We went at 5:15pm, two tables were open , was for 6 people. We only had 3, they just wouldn't let us sit. Those two tables were not reserved. The waitress said I case big groups come. read more

We got on the waitlist for 4 people on a Saturday evening. After more than half an hour, we were first on the waitlist. When a table for four became available , I thought we would get the table, but the host was telling some guys on the back of the waitlist that they would get the table instead. I confronted the host, but he gave some garbage reason. We decided to leave and would not go back. Maybe they give tables to those who were in their way and in their face. read more

visiting dynasty bbq in sunnyvale while in the area...been meaning to go to one in san mateo, but came to sunnyvale on a whim...interior decorations are quite elaborate...a wait during a saturday afternoon...about 15 minutes and asked if we would sit at a smaller table for 2...2 adults and 1 child easily fits, so took the smaller table...the setup is efficient...each table has a rectangular metal hot plate with parchment paper...order from the qr code menu app...everything starts coming out quickly and literally piled on the hot plate...ordered a signature mao cai $19.99 which ended up being tripe cut like noodles in a numbing spice soup...was good, but prefer to fill up on skewers....once the skewers started coming out, the magic happened...a-choy $2.50 had some super flavorful seasoning...really loved it...the rice cake $2.50 reminded me of korean tteokbokki...delicious!...buns $2.25 were chinese buns that were lightly sweet, fluffy and toasty...enoki mushroom $2.99 and corn $2.25 all had the magic seasoning...so good...pork $5.50 and beef $5.99 were cooked perfectly juicy and tasty...beef tongue $4.50 was the only miss...sliced thin and turned into jerky...too dry and not much to eat...the zibo small cake $3.99...basically tortillas with a sauce, seasoning and green onions, but is a nice compliment to have to wrap or add additional seasoning to each bite...overall, a filling good meal for 3 at little under $70 total after tax and tip... read more

Went on Friday night and had to wait but they had a nice online waiting list so we sat in the car until our number came up. There was a musician playing a nice harp-ish instrument. The skewers come out very fast and we tried just about everything. I can say that it was all good. It's just a matter of your preference. We tried everything from the standard beef, lamb, chicken...to chicken skin, tendon and bacon wrapped enoki mushroom. The eggplant was the most expensive thing we tried and it was really good too...a whole lot of garlic cooked in. We left satisfied and enjoyed the fun experience. I have been to Chinese BBQ places from San Diego , LA...and now this place I came upon in Sunnyvale. This is by far the best skewer type place I have been to so far. Walking in it's a beautifully decorated place with rosewood privacy walls and large tables . Ordered lamb, pork , beef and sausage skewers.. note these are LARGE. Perfectly cooked , ordered it spicy ..quick service ,and friendly staff ..also ordered a potato noodle dish which also tasted great ... if in area this is a must stop ! read more

Terrible Service! Avoid This Place! Waited a long time on a Friday night, which is understandable. Ordered takeout while waiting, hoping to eat sooner. After 40+ minutes, my table was ready, but the takeout order wasn't. Asked if I could switch to dine-in ( and offering to pay the same tip), but was firmly denied‼--meanwhile, others behind me were seated. Had to wait even longer with no update. By the time they finally told me it'd be another 10 minutes, I was beyond frustrated. The worst part? The staff clearly didn't care--their attitude screamed, we don't care about bad reviews or losing customers. If this is how popular Bay Area restaurants operate, count me out. No matter how good the food is, I'm never coming back. read more

On a holiday night around 6:30 pm, we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant relatively quiet. We waited about 30 minutes for a large group of six, but the wait was worth it. Food: Duck Blood and Glass Noodles (5/5): A must-try for duck lovers, this dish is not too spicy and bursting with flavor. Cold Dish (5/5): A refreshing and delightful combination of dried tofu, cucumber, and peanuts. (5/5) Ma La Noodles (4/5): The mala noodles are not overly spicy and have a great balance of flavors. They're also quite generous in terms of portion size. Skewers: With six people, we ordered a variety of skewers, and they were all delicious. My favorite was the lamb skewers, which were well-marinated and tender. I highly recommend trying different skewers to get a taste of their diverse offerings. Absolutely ridiculous. The restaurant opens at 4:30 PM, and I was one of the first groups of customers walking in. I placed my takeout order right away, so I obviously expected a reasonable wait. Instead, I waited nearly an hour and a half. The dine-in customers who came in after me were served first. Some of them had already finished their meals and left. There were also multiple delivery drivers waiting for orders. So clearly, the problem wasn't that there were too many customers. The problem was that this place has absolutely no idea how to manage its takeout and delivery orders. After waiting for about an hour, I went to ask about my order. A waitress told me that I couldn't rush them. Well then I asked how long do I need to wait until I can finally get my order that was placed one hour ago. The waitress said she couldn't tell. I wasn't asking them to magically make my food faster -- I simply wanted to know what was going on with an order I had been waiting an hour for. Being the first customer in the restaurant and still waiting nearly 90 minutes for takeout is completely unacceptable. If you value your time, DO NOT come here. There are plenty of other restaurants that know how to treat customers and manage their orders properly. read more

This place deserves a negative number of stars considering the kind of service I just experienced. I am in absolute shock and disbelief at the behavior of the staff working at the time. We clearly communicated multiple times that we had a severe peanut allergy. To ensure full understanding, we even pointed to multiple "no peanuts" symbols to communicate with staff who did not speak English. I even heard laughter from the staff as if they found it funny that we were visibly upset from this experience. Despite all of this, we were still served food containing peanuts. What's even more alarming was the complete indifference when we brought up the mistake. There was no apology, no urgency, and no effort to take responsibility or rectify the situation. Instead, I was forced to pay the bill and leave immediately out of concern for our health and safety. I would never recommend this establishment--especially to anyone with food allergies. The service was negligent, the communication was non-existent, and the handling of a potentially life-threatening issue was beyond unacceptable. Stay far away. read more

From what I've been told Changsha Rice Noodle is what is displayed in the Chinese characters for the sign. Now after getting the confusion out of the way about the venue name, there's no confusion about why this spot is popular and known for their BBQ items, especially their roast duck. There's a weekday dine-in special price of $15 for half a roast duck. This is what we ordered, and added a bowl of rice ($2) and some eggplant with green bean spicy rice noodles. Everything we had was delicious, authentic, and nicely made. The roast duck really was impressive. Crispy skin, cooked just right and moist with flavor and that five-spice umami fragrance - as well as not tasting heavy or overly oily. Highly recommended. The eggplant and green bean noodles went really well with the roast duck, but is also a good stand-alone noodle dish too (especially for vegetarians). The spaghetti shaped rice noodles were a perfect texture and had a soft bounce without being under nor overcooked. Flavors were really nicely layered and not overpowereing in either umami or spice levels for this regional dish. My friend and I were both very impressed and will definitely return the next time we're in the area. This restaurant is across from the Apple campus in Cupertino and in a sizable shopping/dining lot with 99 Ranch Market, Sheng Kee bakery, and over a handful of other food, snack, dessert, and boba tea shops. There's 2 entrances and sections. One entrance faces the inner shopping courtyard and 99 Ranch market grocery store and it opens up into their finer dining section, which can be arranged for private events and accommodate a small wedding party. The second entrance is the main one, which faces the 2 story parking lot and opens up into their casual dining section (has booth and regular table seating with bbq meats hanging on the rack). There's plenty of parking outdoors as well as in a 2 story parking lot (with a couple EV charging stations too).
