The experience was not good, to say the least. We went out of our way to visit this Dyson store, fully prepared to make a purchase. When we arrived, the store was empty and the "Open" sign was still on. Suddenly, a woman came out from the back and abruptly said, "It's 5:30, we are closed. We are open on Tuesday," without greeting us or introducing herself. A few things stood out: 1. This is a destination store, and we made a special trip with the intention of buying. 2. We were rushed out immediately, despite the store appearing open. 3. The interaction was cold, rude, and unwelcoming. There was no basic customer acknowledgment or professionalism. If the store was closed, a polite explanation would have been understandable. Instead, the attitude came across as indifferent and complacent, as though customer experience ..or making a sale ..did not matter at all. For that reason, I am leaving a 1-star review and would not recommend this location. read more

I went from very disappointed that my trusty Dyson died on me to beyond pleased at how the company stands behind their projects. My concerns about an expensive repair evaporated when the wonderful tech (why didn't I get his name!?) looked at it, found a blockage, fixed it in two minutes, and refused to charge me. He even showed me how to better maintain my vacuum to make it more reliable. You don't get service like this much anymore. I'm extremely grateful. read more

Three stars because the service people are nice and personable, but the system leaves something to be desired. You can't just drop your appliance and return, you have to come in and check in with the QR code. The employees don't keep track of who comes in first and periodically come out and say "who's next?" Several people were able to get their appliances fixed while they waited. I waited 30 minutes to be told my $400 6 year old hair dryer was irreparable, out of warranty , and the lowest price I could spend for a new/refurbished unit was $200. If you have a Dyson already, this is a good place to bring it to be repaired, just be prepared to wait a long time. However, if you don't already have a Dyson, don't buy one. I have a 16 year old con air hair dryer that has never stopped working and it probably cost me $20. I also have three Dyson vacuums and, despite the advertising, they have all lost suction. It's not a good product and the quality of the product has unfortunately affected my opinion of the service center. So, grain of salt here. They can't affect company policy or the quality of the products, but they could improve the manner of service. Allowing people to make online appointments and drop off their products would be a big improvement. read more

Great service and great people! I was so tired of dealing with the unhelpful Dyson online, off shore, unhelpful customer service. They were able to diagnose it and shipped it back to me the next day (since I drove over an hour to come here). Lovely people! Typically they don't do drop offs, you just wait up to 20mins for it to be fixed, but mine had to be dismantled and tested in all different ways. Bad business practices from owner of service center. Apparently they do not need customers. At exactly 530 the Owner would not take one minute to offer me help. I'm standing at the door holding my vacuum cleaner as the owner walks out of the store locks the door beside me and says she can't help me. I explained I had driven from another town to get there, Apparently their customers aren't important to them. Owner just got in their car and drove off. Left me standing with my vacuum at the door. Certainly not a way to run a business. Do yourself a favor go to a different service center where you will get treated with respect. These people don't need your business. While using my Dyson this morning, I noticed that the tiny plastic hook keeping my bin closed was broken, which caused the bin to easily open while I was vacuuming. Since my 2-year warranty just passed a few months ago, I was worried that the repair would be costly, but I was relieved to see that there was a Dyson Service Center near the Austin area! I stopped by this afternoon, and the representative was able to get my bin easily replaced for about $20 and he even gave me valuable insights into the V15s Detect Submarine (which I didn't even know existed until today!). This is essentially a vacuum with a mop attachment, which is honestly groundbreaking because using a physical mop can be exhausting on the arms and visually not the most appealing when you're storing it in your house. I will definitely be adding this to my wishlist, and I'm very content with the customer service that was being demonstrated today!! read more

Today I came here to get a diagnostic run on my old trusty Dyson vacuum. I brought the vacuum in because once plugged in, it was shorting out my electrical sockets in my home. Welp, come to find out that Thing One and Thing Two's aggressive pulling of the cord out of the electrical socket and acting like fools when they don't want to do household chores ruined the power cord. The Technician here was able to diagnose and fix the power cord in less than 30 minutes. Total cost for my kiddos Tom Foolery...$106.06 (not including the two, yes two blown sockets I had to replace and gas in my car to drive to H.D.). read more

Here again in under a year but my review still stands. Such great customer service, as long as you come when they're open. This repair center is really small and there's only 1 technician to do the greeting/repair/payment collection. So be patient... Came at 11 on a Tuesday and it took about an hour with 3 ahead of me. My Dyson v10 has seen better days, had to do emergency cleaning before my in-laws arrive and COULDNT!!! Anyway, got what I needed in one visit and didn't pay a dime. 2 year warranty for the win! Hard fact: you will eventually have to take the amazing Dyson vacuum cleaner you got (and love!) in for service. The service center is in a strip mall right off 183, and has a very low-res but helpful website. One element about the Dyson site that helped me a great deal was learning that the repair store lives directly behind the "Sushi Eat & Grill" and next to "all Lab Tests" storefront. Another fact I enjoyed reading is that the store serves a dual function: one can get one's Dyson fixed there, or one can pop in if one simply wants to learn more about the Dyson family of teeny, sleek, and highly functional vacuum cleaners and air filters. Like a little showroom! Or an art museum with a very curated collection! On display are a few elegant-looking Dyson machines, and I bet the technicians could easily tell any nerd anything he wanted to know about them. My technician (Alex!) was great and hilarious. I came in to have the battery replaced, and he said it would probably take longer for him to process my payment info than to replace the battery. As he took my vacuum into the back he said, "when I come back, I have a story for you." I practically moved to the edge of my seat. A few minutes later, he came back and helpfully explained that I'd need to charge the battery when I got home, but when charged, my Dyson has 20 minutes of power. In in MAX mode, it only has five minutes of power. And either way, one should not plug their Dyson back in for charging until after it has cooled down. So after vacuuming, leave it unplugged for 30 minutes before plugging it in. I loved learning this! In this age of 'rona, the store is still open, but limited to two customers in the store at a time. They can do curbside service if needed. Staff is masked. Wear a mask if you go in the store, please. read more

Echoing what others have said: - the store only allows two customers in at a time. 105F outside? Too bad! You'll be out there waiting, because they say "there are rules about capacity" (Fact check: It's April 2022 and that's false) - there is ONE PERSON that works in the store. My vacuum needed 7 minutes of service. The person in front of me: 55 mins. Does it matter? Nope: there is one person working. - In order to pay, you need to get texted a link to do something...the strangest thing I've seen at any retail store. - My vacuum didn't hold the charge, cost: $99 for a new battery. I'm glad I paid $400 for vacuum to die in 26 months and I get to go through all of this and pay $100+ just to get it up and running. (sarcasm). read more

Never knew Dyson centers existed. Glad I stumbled across this one. This location was extremely small. There seemed to be only 1 employee, who was more than helpful. Just had to wait a few minutes while he finished up with another customer, no biggie. They did not have what I needed in store or in stock to order. I had to order from Amazon. But noticed I could order it on the Dyson.com website myself - so that was strange. The guy that helped me was super nice and helpful in giving me tips to prolong my vacuum life and perfectly explained how to clean some places I was unsure if I could clean. read more

The manager, Alex, replaced the canister, replaced the battery I brought with me (from a previous purchase). No charge for either. Yea, Dyson machines are pricey. I had no idea Dyson had a service center. 5+ stars for their customer service!! My dear trusty vacuum stopped working and sadly, it was falling apart. Not wanting to spend $$ on a new one, I did some research and found this service center, not too far from me. I called and they said it's a walk in and can most likely fix it on the spot. Great! I went there on a Tuesday morning and they diagnosed the issues and fixed a few things......free of charge! The guys are super patient, helpful, and friendly. As I was waiting, I overheard the guy explaining how to clean the filters and take care of the vacuum to another customer, and noticed they are very nice and patient with their customers. There's masks and sanitizers provided. Overall a great experience and comforting to know they are close by. I'm a Dyson customer for life. read more

I've been waiting to hear back from their customer service for a week now. In the meantime I took the drive to this service center with my Dyson. Was able to have it serviced and the faulty part replaced in a matter of minutes. So instead of trying to get someone on the phone, or email, or chat, do yourself a favor and take the drive to their service center. My Dyson blow drier quit working and so I beloved I'd have to ship it, which in a normal circumstance wouldn't have been troublesome, however I work on the road. I was pleased to find there was a Dyson service center in Austin so I went and was greeted warmly and efficiently. They have a 2 person policy on the store which made it feel quite safe. Michael received me and all I can say is that he was a marvelous technician. Truly took time to explain the issues and he resolved them efficiently and courteously. I had about lost my faith in dyson due to online tech support or lets say lack there of..... I have a V6 motorhead stick and the roller would stick. I invested about 4-5 hours in videos etc. Im very electrically and mechanically inclined and was perplexed why nothing i did fixed it. Online support was completely worthless. My favorite was after sending model, serial, detailed expalnation and a video - i was getting responses (from support in another country) asking me for info previously sent....very frustrating. I did very a final emial from them about the local support center WOW got there today and Alix fixed me up in 10 minutes!!!! Explained everything (which i wanted to know why my efforts didnt work for future knowledge) dont bother with online - go see Alix and FYI they are closed on Mondays - learned that the hard way :) read more

Expect a wait is all I can say, even if you get there right when they open. The team member assisting on Dyson products is knowledgeable and to the point, they just assist people one at a time. I was excepting my blow dryer to be able to fixed but Sadly it was not, I was given other options and people who left before me did leave happy with their Dyson able to get fixed. My brush bar needed replacement because #longhairdontcare and I had been hemming and hawing at what to do because the replacement bars on the dyson site were all sold out. Thankfully this Dyson service center wasn't very far from my home so I went today to get it checked out. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Fun facts for COVID times - the employees all wear masks and there is room to social distance within the waiting area. Also, you don't need an appointment to go in but you should expect to wait there until your vacuum is fixed/repaired. Needless to say, the first thing I did when I went home was start the vacuum up and was very pleased that it felt like it was brand new again. Unfortunately for my Dyson, the hair will continue to be an occupational hazard but I did clean it off properly based on the representative's tips so hopefully that maintains my new brush bar. I have always loved my Dyson vacuum cleaner but now I am a lifelong customer because of the amazing customer service. Thank you! read more

I did troubleshooting over the phone and it was determined my vacuum cleaner needed professional service. This review is not about the service - ITS about the procedure to get service. I drive 30 mins to reach this location- I arrived thinking I would drop off my product and pick up. Not that simple. First there was a sign on the door that said ONLY 2 CUSTOMERS ALLOWED INSIDE at a time! Please ask your company or family to remain in the car. It's 100s degrees outside and there are 4 of us waiting in line and 2 people inside. It takes an average of 15-2o mins per customer so even though we are waiting , there's a high probability some of us will have to return.. the sign also has a completely different list of days open. The corporate office said Mon-Saturday. The Voice mail said Daily and the sign on the door says Tuesday-thru Saturday. These are not regular business hours they are 11am-4pm with a lunch break 1pm-1:30pm. THE TECHNICIAN IS AMAZING , FAST,And KNOWS HIS PRODUCT EXTREMELY WELL. HIGHKY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICE although he's not the friendliest guy in Texas... The mediocre review is due to the poor communication and limited business hours and standing in 100 degree heat for 45 mins. read more

My dyson v10 cyclone was kind of falling apart so I trekked over to the dyson service center. They only allow 2 people in at a time so, during their lunch break closure, I waited outside until their doors opened. Right away, I was assisted by Alex. He took my dyson to the back and after less than 10 minutes, came back with the parts replaced. I am so happy and grateful I came here and was able to extend the life of my dyson. My great old standby Dyson portable was obsolete and having battery issues, he told me where I could get a new battery (Dyson no longer makes them) so I ordered one and took that machine to the office. This is a one man show operations so be patient. Still covid so limited seating, walks in only. There was a line when I came on Saturday. I was so impressed how he pointed it where there was a blockage in my vacuum cleaner and how to open it. I now know how to fix it. He was patient and left without paying anything-- cause it was under warranty still. However, it gave me confidence that dyson is worth the investment. You do not have to be scientist and can rely on the brand reputation on how well the product is made. It's out lasted all my vacuum cleaners. I came home and vacuumed so much dirt that was not visible to the eye. I would go back here in a second. Just give this one man show some grace. Best service center I ever visited. This was my second visit to the Dyson service center as the first visit was so incredibly great I didn't think they could possibly do any better... I was wrong. My four-year-old Dyson battery had finally quit and would not hold a charge and Alex took a look at it told me that they could replace the battery in stock for approximately $99. I said OK great......cheaper than buying a new vacuum... Came back 10 minutes later, replaced the battery and told me it was all taken care of. I then asked do you take American Express and he said no no no it's all taken care of there is no charge... Are you kidding me??? That was amazing and thank you Alex ....totally made my day. read more
