Carlos is a magician. He came to my house, picked up my beloved ECM Synkronica, and restored it to new condition. I've had the machine for six years. Used daily to pull two flat whites in the morning and one in the afternoon. It was working good, but developed a small leak. Once Carlos returned the machine, I realized it hadn't been working as well as I thought. He replaced the disintegrated Y valve. The original was plastic. He replaced it with brass. Then he rebuilt the E61 group head, cleaned, and relived the pull levers. It operates just like it did when I got the machine several years ago. Biggest difference? After several years of reliable operation, my espresso machine suddenly started tripping my kitchen GFCI. I troubleshot, and discovered that the heater element in the machine was shorting to ground (thus tripping my GFCI). As I discussed the problem with them, they gave me all the information I needed to fix the problem on my own. Nevertheless, I took my espresso machine to them and could not be more impressed with the results. These guys fixed the problem I found, plus three other problems I had no idea existed. I've owned an Alex Duetto "prosumer" espresso machine for 7 years. It's a great machine and I've been very happy with it. However, it the past few months, I felt like the espresso didn't taste quite as good as it had in the past and I knocked the water tube that empties into the drip tray out of whack making the drip tray hard to get into place. I figured it was a good time to give the machine a thorough check up and head off any expensive/emergency fixes. For some reason, I could not find anyone in Houston who was qualified or willing to work on it. It was looking like I would have to ship it back to Seattle when I thought, "what about Austin"? A Google search pointed me to Texas Coffee Techs. I had a conversation with Los who was super-helpful and spent a lot of time talking with me about what I was experiencing and what kind of repairs I wanted to do. He told me the charge was $95/hr plus any parts, etc., which seemed more than fair, especially since I was looking at over a $100 just to ship it to Seattle. The only hitch was the backlog...it was going to be at least 3 weeks before he'd be able to star working on it. I took this as a sign that this was the right place to take my machine. They wouldn't be that busy if they weren't the best in town, right? Anyway, I drove up from Houston and dropped my machine off with Dean who went above and beyond. He gave me a tour of the facilities (they have a large roasting operation). Five weeks later, I got the call that the machine was fixed and ready to be picked up (which was good because I was totally sick of Nespresso by then). So I drove back to Austin. Los had the machine warmed up when I arrived and went through all the work he'd done which included using an endoscope to look for scale. He replaced some parts, cleaned some others. He gave me a 1/2 lb of any coffee I wanted and I was back on my way to Houston. Hopefully, I'll get at least another 7 years before it needs any additional service. Bottom line - if you're in Texas, this is where you want to get your espresso machine serviced. It takes time, but all good things do. read more

Wow!! This place rocks and rolls. Had a problem with my ECM espresso machine. Tried to fix it myself. The machine was running the water really slow and was making a loud noise. Decided to try to find a local place to take it too. Hard to find a place to work on a commercial style home espresso machine. Found these guys through the place I purchased my machine from and gave them a call. Asked when a good time to bring it down to them to look at. They said a price to look at it and a price to fix it plus parts. Price was right to fix it and hoped parts would be not too much. Brought it to them on the day I was told to and drove to the door or the shop. I didn't want to carry this heavy machine too far. Guy came out and helped me bring it in and brought me in to the shop and showed me around. Nice place. Lots of machines to work on. About a 10 days later got a call as it was fixed up. Awesome. Didn't mind the time taken to fix as I got a French press to hold me over for coffee. French press was awesome by the way. Get one from these guys while your there. There awesome. Showed up to pick up the machine and the guy who actually worked on it and fixed it came out and got me and brought me to the back. Showed me what was wrong as it was not a normal fix and he had to find the problem. Found it and fixed it up. He then made me a shot from my machine to show it works. IT WORKS BETTER THAN WHEN I GOT IT NEW!!! What a awesome fix and awesome service I received. Shot was good too. Liked it so much I needed up buying a few espresso coffee items and some whole beans as well. I will be driving from Pflugerville and returning to get my whole beans here as the costumer service and the beans are awesome tasting. Thanks for the better than new fix up. I will be back. The machine now has completely failed. During a descaling cycle, the machines powers off without warning. Something is obviously very broken. I can't remove the descaling solution, so I'm of the opinion that my machine is done. So this repair was definitely not worth it. read more

Their pricing for repairs is super fair, and dropping something off with them is no-risk (they'll work out ways to not leave you in the lurch having to pay $$$ for a diagnostic if your machine is just dead). The team at TCT gave us top notch service on our Jura Capresso ENA series super automatic espresso machine. It went in a leaky mess and after a bit of time (to order parts) came back to us like new. They even helped us with a "tune up" a bit after the original repair to replace an original gasket that had been upgraded to a new type by the manufacturer and to lube up the internal mechanisms. We went downtown to bring in our Jura J6 machine that I was having a cleaning issue with and were very impressed with the entire set up! It's in a large warehouse with just about everything coffee or tea related you might desire. The smell was heavenly. We were helped promptly and the tech was super helpful, but it turned out the problem with my machine was me! He explained what I did wrong very nicely, never implying I was an idiot, (though I did state that myself), problem solved. We were offered a cup of coffee by a few different people. Everyone was so welcoming. He did tell us to bring it back in a few years if and or when it showed an error message. No charge for the help or the information. I will definately come back! read more

I wouldn't hesitate to bring anything to these guys. 5 stars don't go out easily. But Carlos and the team earned it! They are very busy so plan on it taking several weeks to get to your machine. But they are upfront with that so it wasn't a worry. I dropped off my machine, they are completely full-service. Came to my truck to take it out. You don't have to lift a finger! My espresso machine was ready as promised. When I went back to pick it up i thought they gave me the wrong machine. It was so clean and polished! They even gave me some coffee for free. All of the staff was very helpful, seems like a great place to work because everyone's as happy. Carlos loaded it back in my truck and said Merry Christmas (not happy holidays). I called for help with my La Spaziale, and the Coffee Techs were great from the start. I told them I was pretty sure I had a bad pump, and they told me they had one ready to go. When I got there, it was busy, and I was just going to buy the pump and put it in myself. I had brought the machine just in case and they helped me right away, removed the old pump, tested it to confirm it was bad, and then installed the new one on the spot.
