Walked by this place and the look of it intrigued me -- it looks homey. I'm glad I looked it up because I saw they have a ginger chai latte so I walked back to try it! I love chai tea lattes but am constantly disappointed that most places sell milk flavored chai rather than chai lattes with strong spices and ginger flavors. I got a ginger chai with whole milk and my friend got a ginger chai with almond milk. Assuming both drinks were made with equal chai ingredients, I think the almond milk let the chai flavors through more whereas the chai flavors were more masked by my whole milk. Laptopper report. It's homey and tiny, with random decor (plants, a bookcase with books, mismatched cheap furniture, hand-drawn images of vines and leaves) and free wi-fi. The menu includes organic coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, bagels, cookies, smoothies and a case of Lappert's ice cream. There are some Mediterranean items on the menu, including falafel and spanakopita. There aren't too many pastries to choose from. Prices are average. * Bagel with egg and cheese ($4). The scrambled eggs are microwaved but still pretty good (tender, fluffy, moist) * Latte ($2.95): pretty decent, strong, not too bitter With the door open, the coffee house is filled with the loud traffic sounds. I was very bummed when the Starbucks near my work closed down. I thought I'd be doomed and coffee reprieved every morning since I get to work at 645am and nothing is open nor are there any coffee shops on my route to work - or so I thought. Then I found Earths. Simple family owned cafe. Big menu Consistent friendly service Consistent quality of drinks AND food And of course..open early. YASS Parking has been easy (but it is early when I go.) Been coming here for about a month now and everyday I look forward to my soy iced mocha or iced white mocha. Both are delicious. I now prefer their coffee over Starbucks and miss not having it on my days off work (too far from home.) They have breakfast sandwiches, pastries, bagels.. I've tried all of the above and was satisfied with each. I like their cream cheese cinnamon bagel - never have heard of it and surprisingly loved it. I'd recommend Earths to anyone wanting a simple, no hassle, good ol cup of joe and bite. Nothing fancy. Not a big place. Down to Earth vibe - wait, oh yeah....(just had an epiphany...) One of my go to local coffee shops for my mid afternoon pick me up, the staff here are so sweet! Earth's coffee does a great job at making sure that their customers are happy and is keen to accommodate the drink to just your liking. I would say my favorite drink here is their ginger chai latte. The combo of the ginger and chai works very well and the best part is that they actually use a shot of ginger juice to spice u the drink. There are only a few tables here, but a good variety of drinks and food items. Their espresso drinks are always on point - and strong. My friends also like grabbing their sandwiches and bagels for lunch/breakfast. If you're in the area and looking for a no fuss, not pretentious, good cup of joe, this is your spot. Earth's Coffee is a nice little chill coffee shop on Geary. I've been in a few times now and have gotten the pour over coffee - very good. They offer both a medium and dark roast. Most recently got a breakfast bagel and it was fantastic. Highly recommend it. I'm always on the look out for a great breakfast sandwich and I think I might have found a new go-to spot. read more

Wow! I got a whole sandwich for $7 and a smoothie with almond milk for a little over $4. This is a great deal especially in San Francisco. The two ladies working were very kind as well. The woman behind the counter has always been kind and accommodating to me. She is sometimes the only person there with a handful of customers, and her service has never been lacking. When ordering food, she does not skimp on the meats, etc -- the sandwiches are hearty and you get a nice amount for your money. She also makes some of the best hot chocolate my husband and I have ever had. On a personal note, because I live so close to this cafe, fedex refused to deliver my package to me because I was at work every time they tried to deliver it. The lady behind the counter told me she'd accept my package for delivery and held it for me for a day or so until I could come get it. For the couple of people who say she has not been nice -- perhaps the issue is not on her end. read more

I'm a fan of Earth's Coffee (a plus that I'm first to review!!) and they are deserving of a 4.25 rating! Definitely more pleasant and consistent than the previous cafe owners...though am thrilled they kept the ice cream (can use a 2:00pm ice cream pick-me-up from time to time). Here's why I'm a fan (and why if you're in the neighborhood it's worth peeking your head in): - Cozy little cafe that's "romantic" in the sense that you have to descend stairs to get to it. - A couch! - Free Wi-Fi! - Staff is friendly and hard working. Mindful of what milk you prefer and the like. -One of the best vanilla lattes in the neighborhood! - Decent menu that includes hot dogs (haven't tried) and a variety of sandwiches. I just tried their falafel sandwich which I have to say was divine. Perfect sized falafels, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and delish (not too strong pungent tasting) humus (which they brag is homemade). The only gripe would be the red onion slices were a bit chunky...I prefer them sliced thinner. - Over a dozen organic teas, that I'm dying to try...rose, other flowers and of course the green and black tea standbys. -Cups, lids, and sleeve are all biodegradable. If they got corn based utensils that'd be even more awesome!! - And last but not least...the Lappert's ice cream! Not a ton of flavors, but love the flavors they have. Kauai pie (kona coffee ice cream, mac nuts, shredded coconut and dark chocolate fudge) is excellent and hits my sweet tooth craving everytime! read more

I am a fan as well!!! They really turned this place around and made it very cozy with a couch, tables, WiFi, and plenty of greens!!!! Gotta vouch for the vanilla latte that Marie mentioned!! The syrup is added to the milk BEFORE its steamed so the flavor is very very consistent. I am a breakfast person and the Peanut Butter and Jelly bagel always hits the spot. Very messy but who cares! Kind of a discreet place in a busy area. One of those places that you'd never really acknowledge unless someone specifically directed you to or if you found on Yelp. The establishment has a total of 4 tables and 10 chairs, but it wasn't that busy at all when I dropped by. That being said, Earth's Coffee does really have a sort of charm to it. The counter is plenty stocked with pastries and baked goods of all sorts, and the coffee/tea menu is very robust. Service was friendly and quick, and the wifi is free and reliable. It's really homey, and definitely a place to easily feel comfortable in. There's a variety of magazines offered on the walls and the place was overall extremely clean. Breakfast sandwiches $4-$6 on bagels or croissants, and normal sandwiches $5-$8 depending on topping and fixings. It's not a knockout coffee shop by any means, but a very nice place that I'm definitely going to be dropping by if I have a spare hour or two in the area. read more

Went in and asked about wifi to make sure I could work there. The guy got snappy and said he wouldn't give me the password unless I bought something, which I intended to.. but I didnt even ask for the password. Anyway I ordered a chai, but forgot to ask for soy (no dairy for me =/) until a minute later. He took the milk and threw it. Legit THREW IT into the sink and went back exasperated and got the soy. Anyway the drink was okay. The WIFI does NOT work, so dont count on working here. Also, I felt very uncomfortable with all the attitude of the guy. He said "It's not you, I'm just in a bad mood." wtf? I laughed nervously, but the point is you do not make your costumers feel uncomfortable. I will not return. read more

I'm a coffee addict/snob.They serve really good coffee here - Bicycle Coffee - and, more importantly, they know how to make it well. I am a HUGE fan of their latte. The bagel with cream cheese and BACON is also a lovely treat! I had a cheese and tomato pannini that, unfortunately, was a little bland and soggy - but I'm sure they're still tweaking the details. I haven't had the ice cream yet - but I look forward to it! Maybe they need to have an Affogato on the menu! (Do they?!) The interior could definitely stand to be a bit cozier, but a major plus of the cafe is all the light coming in through the windows. I'd love to sit in there, drinking coffee and reading, on a rainy day. The owners are super friendly - I hope this cafe sticks around! They sell gelato now! GELATO! The flavors change regularly but they always have some of the staples (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry). The jasmine gelato is a life changer, it is so light and sweet and amazingly good, bring it back please! They also sell pizza by the slice, I've tried the mushroom and pepperoni and it was quite good. Last but not least: Excellent selection of loose leaf teas! My favorite for day is the pomegranate green tea with a touch of brown sugar to really bring out the flavor. For nighttime I really enjoy the chamomile with a splash of soy milk. Think SleepyTime tea but 10x more potent because it's real chamomile flowers (with a very fresh, rich flavor). read more

Drove past this place many times, and finally decided to give it a shot. Street parking can be a little tough, but possible. Came here to get some work done with their wifi, and to get some delicious coffee. Latte was yum. They use Bicycle coffee. The owner also works here, which I can appreciate. Service is friendly. There are a few tables, but I would say that it is too cramped. There's a bunch of random tables and furniture, which I didn't find to be a very comfortable work space.
