We made a 7:30pm reservation for EATaliano and were thoroughly impressed!! The staff was super polite and helpful with menu options, and they all wore the appropriate PPE. Outdoor seating was fairly spread out with a selection of high tables, chairs, and booths. We tried the mussels (I had a pinot grigio, it was pretty good for $8 a glass). The seafood linguine had a good portion of seafood, and the white wine sauce complimented the seafood really well. The fettuccine alfredo with chicken was also really delicious. the portions were very fair for the price, and the bread was *chefs kiss*. I liked the vegetarian pasta dish at first. Future orders it got worse. Then I tried the chicken parm and it was the worst I've ever had and I threw it out. Underwhelming and expensive. 2 adults, 3 children on a friday night at 730. Atmosphere was good enough, pulled our rating up to a 3. We sat on the patio where it was a little bright but a wood burning fireplace was going so there was some measure of ambience and was a good spot for kids. Inside was cuter than the patio. We ordered the blood orange cocktail - it was basic and boring, not worth the price. We started with two appetizers - fresh fried mozzarella which were your basic mozzarella stick and meh breadsticks. Both were served with not enough marinara sauce. Kids loved the mozz sticks, but did mention that they also love Sonic's mozz sticks while they were eating them. Breadsticks were odd, too dense and flavorless, our middle daughter LOVES bread and didn't want to them. Two salads followed - Greek and Caesar - nothing notably good or bad. Then two orders of Alfredo, Chicken Florentine and two pizzas. I wouldn't recommend the Chicken Florentine, the ground chicken ruined it. It had spots of gristle and tasted like a poor quality bird. The lack of seasoning in the entire dish didn't improve the situation. The cream sauce was okay. The Alfredo eaters agreed that there white sauce was okay, nothing special. Very cute place. The ambiance is delightful. I came here with my mom but it would be lovely for a date, alone or with friends. I should have taken a picture of there outside eating area. It's my favorite part because it's covered, there's a fireplace, the bar is inside/outside, it's made to look like outdoors in Italy. It's very charming. We sat at the outdoor bar. I got delivery / catering from EATaliano Kitchen for an event of about 25 people. I got: - garlic bread: Delicious when hot, not as great when cold. These are more like breadsticks than anything else, but still quite tasty! I had these throughout the event and the bread was very chewy, although it could do with more garlic. - Greek Salad: This was quite an average salad with all the toppings. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. - Papparedelle Primavera: The papparedelle stuck together, but the noodles were good otherwise. There wasn't much flavor in the entire dish, and I wish they had more of the toppings. - Portabello Mushroom Ravioli: This was my favorite dish (well, the bread was good too), because it was actually flavorful. It was a tad too salty though. The mushroom inside was delightful, and the sauce it came with was tasty too. I had to call and ask them for plates and utensils, but they gave them to us without additional charge (this is normal for catering though). The delivery process was also hassle-free as I put the building and room number, and they came right on time directly to the room without any troubles. Post-tax, post-delivery charge, and post-tip, the bill was around $430 which isn't too bad for the amount of food we got! read more

I make reservations and i am greeted by the host who never bothers to look up. The place is pretty empty being thats it only 6 pm yet the host manages to sit us at the worst possible table in the place. Doesn't greet us Doesn't check on us, nothing. He looks miserable. We haven't been here for sometime and we were looking forward to a great italian meal. A warm reception, Unfortunately it wasn't. Not only was it not good it didn't even taste italian! The sauce tasted like right out of a jar. I ordered the seafood linguine with red sauce. First, I found a lemon wedge in my pasta. If that wasn't bad enough the pasta was drowned and over cooked. And the seafood was also over cooked. I didn't recognize any of the staff and they must of change chefs because everything was off. I had been here before and we had a great meal and a great time, then. Not anymore. If you have any sense of what an italian cuisine is stay away. I dined here for the first time a few weeks ago. it's located in a plaza at briarcliff and north druid hills. Although this area can get pretty congested, there was plenty of parking to be found. The restaurant has a large covered patio area. Inside, the decor is rustic and comfortable. I was surprised by the entire size of the venue. We were seated immediately during lunch and service was quick and attentive. I ordered the steak, onion mushroom calzone which was delicious and a very good size. The steak was very tender. There was enough to take home. I was extremely satisfied with the food and service here. The price is also reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The server physically removed the sticky, laminated beer and wine list from my hands while saying "well you won't need that. I like to do this the RIGHT way. (Because how can you be so presumptive to expect I can't pick my own WINE TO GO WITH FOOD.) Or we would have gone somewhere else, honestly. Very confused about that table opener... when we asked him what was the best on the menu he proceeded to give us a walking tour of some items, describing them as "reasonably fresh and new" - again, super weird. He seemed really disappointed when we ordered a bottle of rosé - the only bottle, and it was really inexpensive - and an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and a calzone to share. We actually really liked the food - although the "fresh" mozzarella sticks didn't appear to be homemade. And at first the calzone we ordered without mushrooms arrived with them, so he brought it back to be remade (which we might not have normally done, but it was a wholly awkward experience and we really just wanted what we wanted.) This is a Neighborhood spot. The service staff needs a LOT of training and to relax (which comes with training) and remember that neighborhood spots can have great service without hoping or pretending to be fine dining. For what it is, and close to home, I'll come back. But I sincerely hope to have a server that doesn't question my Italian heritage and food or wine knowledge at the ripe old age of 20 years old. My party of 3 visited this restaurant on a Tuesday evening at 7pm. We were promptly seated in a mostly empty restaurant. Service: 3.5/5 The service was inconsistent at times, so I the timing of our meal felt strange at certain times. It took a long time to get refills, and it took a long time for our server to take our orders. Other than that, our server mostly left us alone and didn't not check up on us. In my opinion, that's better than being over involved. Food: 4.5/5 Our appetizer was the only slightly disappointing part of the meal. We ordered the calamari which at $12 was a measly serving. In addition, the calamari was salty and one if the sauces just tasted like ranch with extra lemon. Other than that, our 2 salads and pasta dish were phenomenal. Will have to give this place another shot as this experience wasn't great. We did a carry out order through grubhub. When I got there - they seemed very confused by the entire transaction - asking for my payment despite it being paid through the app. 2/3 of my order was done (pizza & calzone) - but they didn't start making the sandwich yet. As they made the sandwich the pizza and calzone obviously got cold just sitting out. When I got home we realized we were missing both a salad and the sauce for the calzone. We called to say we were on our way back - however when I got there to pick up the missing items no one had any idea and scrambled to assemble (I figured they would have had it waiting for me?). The place was very busy at 8:45 on a Friday evening. They had music on the heated patio. Inside the space all of the tables were taken up but there was plenty of room at the bar. The place was very loud and chaotic and the staff kept tripping over each other. As far as the food - the pizza is thinner with a burned bottom - very similar to some of the places in NY. The calzone was okay - but wish it had more ricotta. Also - it was a little floppy/soggy - will tell them to leave it in the oven a few minutes longer next time. Truffle oil risotto with shrimp (the oil tasted like gasoline), she skipped the whole dish (and I couldn't eat hers either) and she ended up not even eating (this dish was also expensive). EATaliano is a new Italian place in the Toco Hills area - same plaza as The Fresh Market, Grub Burger and Zoes Kitchen. You can find all traditional italian staples here - pizza, pasta, fried apps, and classic desserts. We went there on a Friday evening for early dinner and the place was relatively busy. The initial comparison was with some of other neighborhood pizza places - such as Novo in Dunwoody, or Avelino's in Brookhaven. EATaliano is a new place so still have to prove that is here to stay, while the other business mentioned are tested and solid in their areas. Food: We started with the arancini, and it was crisp and tasty - good execution and great start for the meal. Then, we ordered a #8 pizza and the white pizza. Both were good. Note: this is not brick oven pizza, so don't compare/expect that. Service was a bit confusing - our waiter changed twice during the meal, but did not caused any issues. It is understandable when the place is still finding the right balance in operations. Overall, good addition to the neighborhood. Likely to return in the future to try the pasta. read more

Everything about this place is meh. We went on a Friday night and were promptly sat since we arrived a little before dinner rush. Service was very attentive, without being over the top, which was probably the nicest aspect of our dinner. The ambiance is fine, lots of private tables as well as high tops and bar seating, and they had a guy playing live music in the covered patio which was thankfully not too loud. Now for the food, we ordered calamari and mozzarella sticks for the table, both of which came out quickly and tasted exactly like every other calamari and mozzarella sticks I've ever had in my life. They have an extensive menu, which is why we picked this place as some of the people in the party can be picky eaters, and everyone at our table got something different. I got their veggie market pizza which comes topped with mushrooms, artichokes, black olives, and some other veggies. It was fine, and didn't leave much of an impression other than my theory that they don't have a brick pizza oven as the crust had a slight soggy bottom at the middle but did have a good flavor. I also got to try an order of marinara pasta (overcooked and oversauced), and the accompanying side caesar salad (generic). Everything on the menu seemed overpriced but they are quite generous with their portions. I went one night because I really wanted chicken piccata and nothing else nearby seems to serve it. The chicken piccata had little flavor and a few capers sprinkled on top, sad because I love capers. It was filled with artichoke heart, a flavorless addition. Then I had the brownie with ice cream. It was so tiny! A shame for the price. They were practically empty the hour I was there. They had a lady paying the piano outside which was nice. Inside decor is cute but they had so many employees just standing around in the kitchen. Overall would not be back. I recently moved back to the Atlanta area to work at a local hospital again and I needed to get a haircut after work. I walked into this over priced barber shop to get a haircut and was pissed to see the price of a mans haircut with short hair. When I walked out I noticed the Italian restaurant next door called EATaliano. I walked in and sat up at patio bar and ordered a glass of wine. Then I ordered the sausage and peppers panini sandwich which tasted pretty good. The salad was also fresh and tasty. I also had another glass of wine to end the night. The staff is very friendly and prompt and serve you with a smile on there face. The inside restaurant looked very nice and clean too! I wish they would play Italian music in there restaurant to give it a more Italian feel. I give this restaurant two thumbs up and would definitely eat and drink there again! Salut'! read more

We came here last night in search of reasonably priced fresh pasta and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was casual, but nice, and the menu was pretty extensive. They have something for everyone with traditional Italian entrees, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, calzones, and pastas. They also have vegan pizza options, which I was happy to see available. We didn't get it, but they even have bresaola on the menu ($12), which you don't see everywhere. We got a bottle of Chianti ($30) and my sister got a strawberry basil Bellini ($10). The wine was great, and my sister loved her Bellini. Our waiter, Andrew, was really nice and answered all of our questions. We started with calamari and arancini, and we all really liked both. The calamari was fresh, and I didn't have super high hopes for the arancini since the only other arancini I've had was in Italy, but it was delicious, and we all really liked them. My sister and I split Fettuccini Alfredo ($12) (but we got it with pappardelle instead), and Chicken Florentine ($17). We had asked beforehand what the Chicken Florentine was like, and he described it as an Italian enchilada, which sounds silly, but it was very accurate. It was delicious, and I'd really recommend it. The Fettuccini Alfredo was also really delicious, and I would get it again. The pappardelle wasn't as wide as I'm used to, but it was delicious. My mom got the Pappardelle Primavera ($16), and it was full of great vegetables, and was really good. I would probably even get it next time. My dad got the Seafood Linguini ($18), and he said he would get it again. All of the pastas came with garlic bread and a salad. My aunt got Eggplant Parmesan ($17), and she loved it. They have an enclosed outdoor patio in the front that was really nice and warm despite it being so cold outside. I ordered the special of the day which was a penne bolognese @ $12. Came with a side salad of mixed greens a half of a single slice of tomato and a slice of a cucumber. The penne pasta was slightly over cooked and came with a sprinkle of parmesan. The sauce had a significant amount of a greasy film on it. I usually use either a nicer quality of meat or drain the fat. Obviously that was not done here. The portion was small for the price to me. A friend ordered a 10" gluten free pizza and her bill was about $17. The ambiance is casual so a bit pricey considering. Anyway, if I had a do over, I would choose differently. read more
