Amazing experience from beginning to the end! Our server was amazing. We had both seating which was semi private since the tables are spaced out so well. The food was delicious. My favorite dish was the portobello ! I think of mushrooms on a whole another level. Unfortunately they ran out of the tomahawk steak so my husband and I settled for the T-Bone cut perfectly cooked. The Worcestershire sauce was my favorite. The blue cheese sauce was awesome for dipping the chips on the side. We were so full at the end of the meal. We had to pass on the dessert. It's amazing and cool that there are so many Hawaii residents that have relocated to Las Vegas, it's not called the 9th island for nothing I guess. When we ate here, there were 3 former Hawaii residents that worked here. The hostess that seated us was from Maui, one of the servers was from the leeward side on Oahu, and one of the floor managers was from the Big Island. The very cool thing was they all made it a point to chat a bit about Hawaii. Well, I've been wanting to eat here ever since I saw chef and owner Sam Marvin on Beat Bobby Flay and the restaurant didn't disappoint. We started with a cocktail and some apps...the portabello fries and mac n cheese. Both apps were good with the portabello fries being exceptional. Thick sliced portabello mushrooms battered and deep fried, soft and earthy on the inside and hot and crispy on the outside. Served with a nice herb aioli to dip into. For dinner I got the Steakhouse cut Rib eye with red wine reduction and Mark H had the Steakhouse cut Tenderloin with a bearnaise sauce. Both had a good meaty flavor but I definitely like the fattiness of the rib eye :) . I also really liked the garlic potato chips that the steak was served with. Not as filling as having a baked potato so you can focus more on the meat. The next time I'm here I definitely want to try one of the butcher's cuts. read more

The three stars is because of the excellent service, friendly demeanor and quick response by management of the mistakes and decent bar selection. And because it's located in Tivoli Village which is super charming and looks like it was plucked out of Europe and dropped into the middle of the Vegas desert. I think our servers name was Austin(?); he was super attentive, but read the table well and was responsive when there were issues. Unfortunately being that I manage an upscale Italian steakhouse, I'm a little hard to impress when it comes to food. The oysters were tasty, the sides were yummy as well but nothing was remarkable, stand out, "best steakhouse in Vegas" kinda thing... the wine list was eh, couple solid choices and a few mediocre, not very extensive; and unfortunately, they overcooked my Rib-cap TWICE in a row so I essentially sat there without dinner almost the entire meal... they finally remade me a filet mignon because I gave up on the rib cap that I boxed and took home. I tried a bite of my two friends' sliced porterhouse and was not impressed. Flavor was nice but meat was chewy and didn't seem super high quality. To their credit, they took my steak off the bill and offered us dessert as well, but everything was ice cream and I was still kinda hungry for dinner so we wrapped up. I found this place on Yelp - it says something like 6 miles from the strip. well my little kitty cats - DO NOT GET a taxi cab here ($50) - get and Uber or a lyft - we got lyft for the way back and it was only $20. But we figure if we had gone to a steak restaurant on the strip our meals would have been so much more it evened out. The service was amazing, the manger came over - gave us his card, poured us all a glass of sparkling wine. (we saw him bring a blanket out to someone on the patio) We sat upstairs - I was facing the kitchen which I love, but it was in a bit of an open area, outside might have been amazing. We ordered as follows: - Portobello fries - I have never seen these on a menu before and I eat out a fair bit, super crunchy - Arugula salad, nice and light -Asparagus with a egg - OH MY! 1 got the (famous here, and limited quantites per night) - Rib Eye cap, I liked it a lot, my friend said hers was a little salty -also we split the mashed potatoes - were lovely - and a nice portion for 3 people to split - we didn't finish them. Omggggggg. This place was AWESOME! We got so much food, just about everything on the small plates menu and we loved everything we had. We sat upstairs on the patio and had a blast. Decided to make reservations for Friday night. I was on the fence about reservations because I thought, "how busy could they be?" I'm so glad I made reservations. I highly recommend reservations, this place was crazy-busy. We were quickly seated, offered water, and our server, Ramon, took our drink orders. The service by Ramon was great, the cocktails were fantastic, and food was delicious. Ended up spending just under 2 hours here. I will definitely be back again. read more

I brought my friend who was visiting from Korea. We both had the Rib Eye and both ordered medium rare. Mine came out more on the rare side, but my friend's was blue. I normally would have sent it back, but we shared mine since we ordered other things and took the blue rib eye home. Sadly the highlight was the sorbet at the end of the meal and not the steaks. This new discovery, tucked away in Henderson far off the strip is one of my new favourite restaurants in Las Vegas. With an ample selection beyond meat and a broad section of cuts available, all at very reasonable prices is why this hidden gem has become such a favourite. Friendly, none tourist harassed staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. The one and only slight critic I have and why they lost a star, was cause the filet mignon only comes in one size and for a big guy like me, was a little to petit. As a party of one, I grabbed a seat at the bar. Very quickly, Ryan the bar tender introduced himself and set a friendly tone for the night. Next to me, it turned out, was a local chef, who's own place is closed on Tuesdays. She was also having dinner at the bar, with a friend. So hint #1 - when a local chef tells you this is her favorite place, you're in for a treat. I eat out regular for travel. Echo and Rig is exceptional. We've looked at the menu and thought this place must be good plus the reviews were all pretty decent. But here is the conclusion that we all agreed on. Lamb cigars- least favorite just an egg roll nothing special at all Parmesan risotto- good flavor just texture was bad Duck dish- could do without the wild rice side and seem like that duck could've been executed a little better was tough Lamb chops-was really good so soft and buttery and not gamy at all. Broccolini-not a broccoli guy so just whatever. Lol Mushroom soup- not bad just super simple Best thing on the menu was an off menu item. Tomahawk rib eye!! We chose the 36oz cut I was blown away from the display they had with the exact cut you pick is the one you eat! Awesome selling point that we enjoyed! But the steak was very fatty but cooked ok. If I can give this place 100 stars I would. My husband and I had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary here. We decided to come during brunch on a Saturday so we can enjoy their unlimited mimosas and brunch menu. Both did not disappoint. We ordered the mimosas, crab cakes, short rib hash, steak frites, French toast, berry mojito and ice cream. Omgooosshhhhh was it delicious. Everything was amazing!!! The service was on point, the food was yummy and the prices were reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by. I wish I could remember our servers name because he did GREAT! We came here for our anniversary. Unfortunately, we were on a time crunch and had other obligations after dinner so we didn't get dessert there. We told our waiter and we had our food out really fast. The filets were delectable, very tender, and tasty! I never would have imaged to have chips with our steak but it compliments the dish very well! I would give them a 10/10!! I would definitely go back and try their other items. Superb food!! The only small complaint is if you serve complimentary bread to your patrons you should have it lightly toasted/warm. They gave us cold bread which we didn't eat. Echo and rig is a great spot for brunch. It's always packed on weekends, but if you make a reservation you get in without waiting which is awesome. Also when you call and make a reservation they ask you if anybody in your party has any allergies, then when the server greats you they ask about the allergies and explain what you can have. Was in town for an event but made sure to ask some of my friends who are Vegas locals where they recommend I go for a nice dinner off the strip- Echo & Rig was the winner. Was in a beautiful shopping center with a fountain. You walk in and the downstairs is a gorgeous bar on one side, hostess stand in the middle and then a butcher shop on the other side- so cool! We made reservations so we we're seated right away. We went upstairs to the dining room. Ther service was absolutely phenomenal. Since it was our first time dining in, our server brought out this. Easy platter of steaks to show us and let us pick from! We ended up ordering off the main menu since we had some ideas in mind of what we wanted. Started with the crab cakes and portobello fries (those came recommended). We each had a steak for dinner and 2 cocktails each! My GO-TO steak house in Vegas!! I send everyone here (especially those from out of town that tend to only stick to the strip.) The Hanger steak is always my first pick! Probably because you can't get this cut many other places. It's always cooked exactly as asked! Medium .. which most places seem to mess up. Not here .. they nail it every time! My other staples are the brussels and fries. But the homemade chips that come with the meal are SO GOOD too! The valet was overwhelmed, so we parked in free parking and had to walk quite a ways. Upon entering the restaurant, there were four gracious hostesses. We were seated on their balcony, which was lovely but the heaters were too warm. Since we had to walk through the main dining room to get to the balcony (which we had not asked for but were glad to have,) we noticed how loud the dining room was. It was even louder as we left, so we were very happy to have been on the balcony. The service was attentive and friendly--in fact, amazing. The food was very good, but I would not say it was outstanding nor very memorable. I will say the crab cake I had was perhaps the best I have had in Vegas, though. Austin is amazing! Best server I have ever had. He suggested the fries spinach salad and I wouldn't have ever ordered it unless he suggested it. The by in the salad is great and Austin knows the menu so feel free to ask him about his picks on wha he would get on the menu. Super sweet. And the bottomless mimosas and the consistent fills - I will definitely be back next time I visit. Can I just request Austin to be my server every time or is that against he rules?
