This is a long overdue review as I've known Mike for 3 years and have used him countless times and am always extremely satisfied. He's installed a new sink and kitchen faucet, replaced my garbage disposal, replaced several toilets, replaced several bathroom faucets, cleared my clogged toilet and drains and most recently helped with the plumbing for my mom's bathtub/shower into walk-in shower conversion. He installed a brand new showerhead and added plumbing for a separate hand-held showerhead with slide bar. He also helped her install grab bars. He was super nice and even provided her with a senior discount. Most importantly, he really knows what he's doing (I tried saving money once with a handyman who spent hours trying to replace a faucet only for Mike to finish in under 10 minutes). Michael has done multiple plumbing projects over the years in 2 different homes. From a complete pex repiping after major flood damage to recent install of tankless water heater. He and his son are responsive to plumbing concerns, conscientious about costs and best quality for the price. I was referred to Ecostar Plumbing by Siebert Construction. I had two companies attempt to clear my shower drain. They ended up quoting me on the need to open up my wall and do exploratory work to diagnose the problem. Luckily, one call to Ecostar and the blockage was fixed! Mike told me that he would send Toby and that "he can unclog almost any drain." Very impressed, he was great. Toby took the time to WORK on the pipe and get it fixed and even took a look at another problem as well. I was shocked once he said it was draining and working as I was convinced I had a non-functional shower. Michael is amazing and you need to add him to your contacts! Our water pressure regulator went out on a Friday. I texted him and he was out of town. Sent him a couple pix so he knew which part to get, and he came out by 10am Saturday morning to swap it out. Prices very fair, quality of work excellent -he really knows his stuff- and easy to contact. We found him a couple years ago through our contractor doing a full master bath remodel and since then we've also had him install a whole house water filter and sink RO system. We are landlords, who self manage our properties, and are very reluctant providing our tenants direct access to contractors for fear of overuse. However, Mike at EcoStar Plumbing is the exception. I originally found Mike through HOCOA, one of those organizations that lists and recommends local professionals available for 24-hour service. What a find! He's super-easy to talk to, does the job fast and efficiently, and has no drama. My dad had him come over to fix their water heater, and instead of jumping directly to "you need a new unit", he did some debugging and just fixed a faulty wire. One time I had a leak in my laundry room ceiling, but Mike wasn't available so he sent out a co-worker that same day. The work was very professional and saved me a lot of money over those rip-off 24-hour services. Just this week I asked Mike to check out a garbage disposal at one of my rentals; he contacted the renter directly (so I wouldn't have to be the go-between), and after he cleared the obstruction, Mike wouldn't charge me because it was a minor issue and I had already done other work with him before. Like other reviews you see here, I offered to pay, but he wouldn't accept. Here's a quote from my dad, thanking me for recommending Mike: "Michael (Ecostar Plumbing) was terrific! He was out here within an hour of our call on Sunday. Asked all the right questions before he came so he'd have the proper materials. Fixed the problem quickly and professionally. I found EcoStar through HCCOA, and I couldn't be happier with the service Michael provided. I have recently purchased a home and from the Inspection Report their was a long list of plumbing issues that had to be fixed. The list was long and I was dreading what the final cost would be due to past experiences with plumbers...sometimes dealing with some was like dealing with a used car salesman (no offense to used car salesman but you get my point). Michael came in took a look at everything and was honest about what really needed to get done and what was actually unnecessary...there was no upsell...and the actual cost of all his work came under what he quoted me. Also, about a month afterwards, I had some issues with my washer and dryer hookup...it was a minor thing, but he came by took care of it, and didn't even charge me for that. I know if I would have called one of those bigger companies they would have probably charged me an arm and a leg for coming out. I can't recommend EcoStar plumbing enough. Hopefully, I won't have any other plumbing issues in the future, but at least I have peace of mind that I can call EcoStar and be treated great. read more

Finding a good, no, great plumber is hard to find. We were recommended to Michael thru a contractor and he did an awesome job on a overleak problem in our bathroom. He was reliable and efficient and well priced. Just recently I phoned him to take care of a disposal problem in a rental unit of mine. He fixed the problem the same day and because it only took him a short time he didn't even charge me!! Anyone know a guy this nice?? I offered to pay at least for an hour fee but he declined. Michael has, on every occassion, gone beyond our expectations and made every effort to accomodate our schedule and budget.
