I ordered pizza by the slice and it was really, really good! It tasted fresh and our order (in a party of 6) was out in good time. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and the waitstaff was very attentive. Great experience, will go back. I work close to the area and it's definitely a spot to grab a quick lunch. Only negative feedback I had was when we first walked in. We weren't sure if we were to seat ourselves or if they were coming to seat us. My party and the waitress stood and stared at each other for about 20 seconds before she showed us to a table. First off, their rolls are superb. Never before have a group of friends and I ever finished the bread basket at a restaurant, but we did here! For the main dish, we had pasta and a calzone. This place makes the most beautiful calzone I have ever seen. It is large, fragrant, airy, and has a glisteningly herb butter baked crust that seriously outshines most tv roast birds. Their pasta is also perfectly cooked, and their sauces are particularly well seasoned. My pasta came with chicken, and I appreciate that they made the breast into a sort of pounded filet and cooked it till it was done and tender without becoming a thready mess or letting it get tough. Eddy's even makes a house dressing that manages to balance tomato tang and vinagrette, tasting a bit like a leaner, more serious Russian dressing for those of you who miss the light ketchup like note but also like the marinara like depth without wanting to douse a salad in something that resembles salsa. To the gritty bits. Parking is easy. Prices are very reasonable for the generous portion sizes. The dining area itself is a bit more open than I'd like (not full of booths), but it's in dark wood colors so it works, and it really contributes to the great customer service as the wait staff keeps a great eye on people. They have an old fashioned beverage fountain that's heavy on the syrup which is a treat for people sick of the new watery modern machines, and service never let my cup reach empty. read more

This place came highly recommended by someone on the Nextdoor site. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. It's BYOB so we brought wine. The server said that they were out of glasses so he gave us 2 paper cups, like the ones for sodas. And then proceeded to ask us if we wanted ice in the cups. I'm not a snob, but even I can't drink wine out of a paper cup (with ice?). We ordered a pizza, the price of the pizza includes 5 toppings. We asked for pepperoni, sausage, black olives, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts It took at least 45 mins to get our pizza, and when it arrived, it included no sausage and onions, we which hate. When we told the server, he blamed the guy cooking in the back, said that it was because of a language barrier, and that the guy had been "screwing things up all night". He offered us no compensation or to make another pizza. We didn't want to wait another 45 mins, so we ate what we could. When we got our check, we saw that he had written "onions" on the ticket. So the mistake was his, not the people cooking. Again, no offer to compensate. When we paid, I had to argue not to charge us an additional amount for an extra topping since not only did we not actually order 6 toppings, but the toppings were screwed up. The pizza was okay, not worth trying again. They are clearly understaffed as the 3 servers were all running around like crazy. Also noticed that the Coke dispenser must not have been working because we saw the staff pouring Cokes out of liter bottles. While my mind is already made up, I had to read the reviews before posting my comments. I had to laugh that there was only one negative review, but he commented on how the table next to him was raving about how good the food was. Maybe I was the guy at the next table, because we were really happy with the food and service. To be honest, this place doesn't replace Leonardo's in Frisco in the 1990s, but that place has been sold and gone down hill in my opinion. So, what does Eddy's offer? After about 6 visits now I can say consistency. Good pasta dishes for my wife and I and good pizza for the kids. Of course if I order pasta I have to have a piece of the pizza too!! This is now my favorite place to carb load the night before a big run or bike event. Its family owned, I've seen the same people working there every time I go in. My favorite Italian dish, Chicken Parmigiana, and this place does it justice! My wife's favorite meal, Manicotti, so good that sometimes my son bypasses pizza for it. I'm happy to see as I drive by now, the parking lot is full almost every night. Selfish reasons I'm happy, I want them to be around for a long time. While Eddy's may not be a 5 Star restaurant in the traditional sense, I give it 5 stars because I'd absolutely recommend it to everyone I know and anyone who likes Italian food. The waitress sat us after standing around for 10 mins, after sitting down, we ordered a Chicken Alfredo pizza and jalapeño peppers. Our appetizer and rolls were nice, but the waitress took our order to the next table...pizza finally arrived after 45 mins....after first being taken to the next table....and then when we ate it. My wife and I are from Buffalo ,New York. We have two of our children living in Plano. We were visiting for Chirstmas. We always make sure we stop at Eddys for dinner. This time , we ordered chicken wings and pizza. I have to tell you, these wing are as good as any of Buffalo best. I travel for a living and this was the first business that I could say we're as good as home. You have to to give them a try. I must say, in Buffalo we have mild, med, hot and extra hot. I've only had take out, so I can't comment on the service. Also, I've only ordered pizza, so I can't say anything about the menu as a whole. I've been there twice, and both times I had an excellent experience. The pizza is very good. It's not excellent, but it is very good. The crust is tasty, the sauce is excellent, the toppings are good. It's cooked well, and it tastes great. It blows all of the chains out of the water. If you live anywhere near Eddy's, you have no excuse to ever order Dominos or Papa Johns or any of that garbage again. I like it better than Russos and Grimaldis. Russos and Grimaldis are both trying for a certain type of pizza, and they both almost achieve it but fall short by not using slices of cheese (like the pizza on the Grimaldis website). read more

Based upon the raving reviews on Yelp, the hubby and I were excited to try out a new hole-in-the-wall pizza joint close to home. The atmosphere gives you the immediate vibe of family owned and homey. Unfortunately the Yelp reviews, it hyped up the expectations too much and we were disappointed. They brought out the menus, drinks, and rolls quickly once we sat down. However, it took more than 20 minutes for them to bring out our pizza, and it was wrong. We specifically told them no black olives and there seemed to be extra black olives on our pizza! They didn't offer to re-make or rectify the situation even though we brought it up to our waiter's attention. He was also slow to attend to refills or bring us additional items (napkins and extra marinara sauce) we requested. Eddys is a great neighborhood byob spot, which I forget every single time we decide to go. Kid meals seem to do the fill for the kids or you can order them pizza by the slice. I normally opt for the calzone or stromboli both are customizable with a plethora of toppings to choose from and the other plus is they are big enough to share if you aren't that hungry or if you are split it and add a salad. The garlicky parm bread they bring out while you wait is tasty and tempting expecially with the big bowl of butter they keep on the table.
