Went in on a Friday night. The restaurant was full but we found a table and were waited on quickly. Started with a Ceasar Salad that was delicious. The dressing was just the right amount of creamy. Then we split a meat lovers pizza. This is why this review gets 3 stars. Crust was too thin and greasy, which made it soggy in the middle. I prefer crusts with more flavor too, which Eddy's lacked. I may go back and try the pasta because it was a cute BYOB place, but for pizza...I'll go elsewhere. read more

A very good neighborhood Italian restaurant. BYOB. My my had manicotti and I had chicken cacciatore. The manicotti was made with fresh pasta and the ricotta filling was delicious. The simple marinara was tasty. The chicken cacciatore's sauce was quite good. A nice blend of herbs, peppers, tomatoes and garlic. With salad, soft drink and tip it cost slightly more than $30. Quite a good deal. I will go back again because the pizza Smelled great and the lasagna look good too. read more

This place is a great value. Portions are huge and the prices are low. The egg plant parmesan sub is absolutely great. Pretty large too. Stromboli is only average but GIGANTIC (I suspect the calzone is better). It doesn't fit on a 10" dinner plate. White pizza is also good. Salads are average, but the olives in them are quality. Bread knots are absolutely great. Food is good (3ish) but not great. Prices are what make this place. Super quick turn around on take out. Excellent service in restaurant or for take out. Plus BYOB and an Albertsons in the same parking lot. Been here a lot and will probably continue to go. Maybe not worth the drive out of your way, but makes a good stop for lunch or dinner on the cheap without stopping by the McDonalds next door. read more

I fucking love this place! Literally everything here is delicious. Even the free rolls! I usually order the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, and my wife always gets the spaghetti with meatballs and mushrooms. The pizza here is obviously good. Wow. Stopped in just to get a slice to try the place out. First the counter guy was too busy dealing with silverware in the empty restaurant to notice me. When he did there was no acknowledgment until he put it all away, at which point he approached the counter silently. I asked to order a slice of pizza, and he stared for a second. "Just a slice?" He asked, and as it was on the menu over the counter I replied, "Yes, if it's not too much trouble?" The phone rang then, and I realized why this all struck me as odd. I moved to Plano because people here are well mannered and I have grown accustomed to good service. As he ignored me to answer the phone I walked out, and given the initial impression of the counter clerk who couldn't care less I won't gamble on trying the food, as clearly customer service and attention to detail are not part of their mission. I won't be back and I advise others to steer clear- a rude clerk is a sign of a shitty restaurant. read more

I just went to Eddy's today for lunch after work. This was my second time at Eddy's. The first time I was there, I wasn't blown away by the pizza. Their pizza is pretty good, but I prefer a chewier crust. I used to live in Austin so I was a big fan of pizza from Home Slice or Mellow Mushroom. Today I had the baked cannelloni. SWEET JESUS ON A POGO STICK it was sooo good! It was filled with ricotta cheese, maybe some other cheeses, possibly spinach... washer/dryer. I don't know what all was in it, but it was super tasty. It was also baked super hot. My marinara sauce was bubbly when the waitress brought it to the table. The atmosphere was really quiet because I went at about 3:30pm so I know that is the limbo between lunch time and dinner. I also work at a restaurant so I will probably never be able to eat at "normal" meal times. Overall, I'm glad I went!! read more

We were very impressed the first time going! To start, the place is very nice with stained concrete floors, brick walls and a nice fireplace. Imo, it can be great for a lunch out from work, with a family and for a date on a budget. It doesn't have booths to sit in but the tables are amble and spacious to sit at. We ordered our 3 slices of pizza and 1 grilled chicken tossed salad. The slices are New York Style, huge and the crust is amazing! The grilled chicken salad was delicious, the chicken had been char grilled making it more yummy. They were very generous too, with giving us rolls to munch on while we waited for the main dishes. This is a great value as well, and look forward to going back and trying their pasta. Oh one more thing, the bathrooms were very clean, which is good sign on their kitchen practices. So happy to find a descent pizza parlor close to home. read more

Eddy's Pizza is a real treasure of Plano. I have had the fortune of finding out about this restaurant a few weeks ago and have had the opportunity to visit a few times. Every time I have gone, I am more impressed. The family is genuinely kind and the service has always been outstanding. The prices of the meals vary between $5-$10 and the portions are incredibly large. I am always needing to ask for a To-Go container. The pizza is excellent, and the nice atmosphere in the restaurant is worth noting as well. I highly recommend Eddy's if you are looking for a new Italian restaurant to try, or if you would like a place to sit down and enjoy a nice pizza with the family. read more

Terrific people, great food and service. The menu accommodates varying tastes, it is a comfortable casual setting. Eddy's will not knock you over in curb appeal. As mentioned, it is the old Country Burger location in Pitman Corners. At one time, I am pretty confident this was a Pizza Inn. If you're an older Plano resident the Pizza has a similar taste to Pizza Ca$a now new Italian Restaurant behind Home Depot on 14th. It is thin crust and a great mild/snappy sauce. Do yourself a favor and get a side of sausage. It is a classic thin crust pizza taste from the '80s. I went back again last night, after they catered a 50th Wedding anniversary on Saturday for some neighborhood friends. It is not going to appeal to the hop in a grab a quick takeout person. If you want enjoy Eddy's Pizza, dine in and enjoy the pizza, sausage at the casual setting. read more

I went to pick up two orders. When I arrived, they could not find the two orders. It took him 5 minutes just to locate the orders. He said they are not ready, 45 minute wait. We were told 30 minutes on the phone, so I mentioned that. He responded in a aggressive yelling voice, THEY ARE NOT READY. I said I'm sorry did you just yell at me? Still yelling he responded, well they are not ready. I asked to speak to the manager or owner, and he said that was him. I then asked if he spoke to all his paying customers like that. He said I don't care but your pizzas are not ready. He then asked me to wait outside because I was making a scene. I said I'm sorry there is a scene going on but you yelled at me in front of the entire restaurant for trying to pick up my order, when you could have said, "Mam I'm sorry they are not ready, would you like to sit and wait?" I would have been fine waiting. I then, told him where he could put his pizza and left. I have never been more embarrassed. And just trying to pick up pizza. read more

Neighborhood italian restaurant with decent cheap food. A true testament that keeps that place in business. However the review is for service. We arrived after the dinner rush at 7:30 pm. All tables were dirty and we could not sit ourselves, as the place expects you to do. Food took around 38 minutes to come out. Two slices of cheese pizza and one chicken marsala. As other reviewers have mentioned, they only have two waiters and no buss boy. It has always been like this. Do not expect customer service or refills. If you can live with that you will love it! For a small neighborhood restaurant with great prices, I have to give it 5 stars. If you are comparing it to a 5-star Italian place (Are there any?) then you won't be fair to this place. live in West Plano and some people would perhaps rather die than eat at a small place like this, to their detriment. The food is good - I love the lasagna, which is always fresh; the garlic rolls, and cheesy bread are wonderful, (my kids LOVE them) and the pizza is WOW! and they will bake it a little longer if you ask.I have enjoyed everything I have eaten there, down to the veal parmesan. Their prices are most reasonable, so if you need a cheap date with good food, this is your place. BYOB -no corkage fee. Service has been good most of the time. The female waitress with the blondish hair is always attentive to me, recognizes me, and remembers my order even if I haven't been there in a while. She doesn't hover nor smother. Some of the guys can be not so attentive, but there is one male waiter that is also quite good. You can still get their attention if you need something...and to eat in peace and have good conversation with the people you are with is most enjoyable. You can actually hear each other speak here, unlike the most places so trendy today. Eddy's is a great place to take your kids too, without breaking the bank. read more

I've been there many times over the past few years but took a group of about 10 there last night. They must have a new owner because there were no familiar faces behind the counter or on the waitstaff and the changes were not good. The waitress took forever to even come to our table and then everything was late from the water to the food. She never came back to check on us after we got our food so her priorities were a bit out of order. The food was excellent though and that saved the evening. Might go back one more time to see if last night was the exception instead of the rule. read more
