Been putting off troubleshooting the electricity in our shed and backyard and some other small jobs. I requested quotes from 6 companies with 4+ stars in my area that had less than 1-day response. 1 company didn't reply. 2 companies wouldn't have time until about 2-3 weeks outs. 1 company said to try other companies because they were too busy. 1 company wanted $200 per project to provide an estimate. Only Hormoz was available and had only one price for an estimate no matter how many projects. Hormoz and his employee came out the same day and gave me separate estimates as I requested. They replaced a circuit breaker, neutralized a live wire, fixed the light on my fan (didn't need to replace the fan), added an outdoor outlet, replaced an outdoor outlet, fixed a light switch, and recommended some things I didn't think about. We needed more than a dozen GFCI receptacle outlets replaced immediately. Eden Electric responded to our needs very fast. Hormoz from Eden Electric called and diagnosed our problem to provide an estimate. He scheduled with us to get the job the same day we spoke with him. He arrived on time and inspected all GFCI outlets. He explained to us the GFCI outlets our prior contractor installed were known to have issues and the only solution was to replace those outlets with higher quality brand. It took less than one hour for Hormoz to replace all 13 GFCI outlets. The job was completed in May 2018. It has been 4 months and the prior problem with the GFCI outlets has not returned. My main breaker started tripping all the time. Another company told me I needed to upgrade my panel, for $4500, and add a new dedicated circuit, for another $2500. This was all based on visuals - the rep did not bring a meter or anything else but a screwdriver. He also charged me $100 for that 20-minute diagnosis/sales pitch. Eden Electric was my second opinion. I ran the AC and a bunch of appliances to get the breaker to trip. Hormoz checked my panel (visually and with a meter) and quickly gave it the all-clear. When he checked the main breaker itself, it was too hot to touch. One $40 breaker later (same price as at Home Depot), and I was back in business. He then had me turn everything on again to make sure the draw was well under the max, and he checked the new breaker again, to make sure it was cool to the touch. I usually don't do review, but this an exception because I'm happy with the service. First of all, they were the first one to respond to my request in less than 10 minutes. After we spoke on the phone, Hormoz scheduled to come over to look at my electrical problem the next day, less than 12 hours. I had lost a line that power the lights in the kitchen to the hallway and bathrooms. The fuse box indicate that everything is fine. I really don't know where to debug the problem. Hormoz came over on time and check all the lines to the rooms that was affected. He soon had to go up to the attic to debug the loose wire. After about 1 hour he figured out the line and fixed the problem. The price is not the best I was hoping for, but I think it's fair since it was an emergency and his quick respond and solution. He also had to go up into the hot attic space to fixed the problem. I already scheduled him to wired two 30Amp lines from the electrical box to the garage for the electrical car hookup and to power the RV hook up. read more

Hormoz responded to my Yelp inquiry for help with an estimated price that fit my budget. I had blown a circuit by nicking a ground line in the wall with a drill bit. I got on his schedule for the next day and he arrived on time ready to troubleshoot. Plan A to go directly to the damaged wire was not an option so he did Plan B, to use the opposite side of the wall. He measured and estimated the position of the damaged wire accurately and cut a square in the interior drywall to fit a junction box. He spliced the wire and threaded it to the fuse panel. I thought I would have to paint and texture the wall where the junction box was installed, but no, he covered it with a white wall plate that matches the white wall color. Perfect solution. Total job time less than one hour. He cleaned up. He explained the work. He made suggestions for how to better choose safe places to drill holes in the wall ,-) ... Hormoz is professional, helpful, resourceful, and knowledgeable. He has a good sense of humor. I will call Eden Electric for any future problems I may cause or those that arise naturally in a house.
