Unagi, salmon and Rainbow Roll ... so delicious

We had our meal to go for our Valentines dinner movie night at home. Everything was fresh and perfect ! The manager is top notch, friendly and greeted me with a big smile. Waves from the sushi chefs behind the glass case. This place is a true gem!

Excellent food and came out pretty quick. Good portion sizes too. Service was excellent we had 2 people serving us. It is a pretty small place but with the fast service they can turn tables fast. I do want to go back.

From top to bottom... crazy boy roll, Good Friday roll, picante roll (my favorite!) and wasabi roll.

My husband, myself, and our 2 daughters (13 & 16) visited recently and I'm so glad we did! This is a small place with a casual atmosphere but the food is great! We ordered 4 sushi rolls, fried gyoza, egg rolls, and a hibachi shrimp meal and everything was very fresh and tasted amazing! We were seated quickly and our drink and appetizer order was taken almost immediately by the man who seated us. Our actual waiter wasn't very attentive though. While he wasn't rude, he just seemed to not care that drinks were empty, our entrees came out well before our appetizers, acted aggravated when we asked for forks, and when I tried to compliment the food, he just nodded without cracking a smile and walked away. I would definitely eat here again, and maybe it was an off night for the gentleman but I wish we had been seated in the other section.

Enjoyed our rainy night dinner at Edohana tonight with a sushi roll and a humongous bowl of soul-warming ramen. The Temptation Roll was delicious, but huge! I had to resort to using a fork to cut the peeves in half before I could fit it in my mouth. The restaurant is small, but well appointed. The service was a little spotty with us sitting there for long periods of time waiting for the waiter to return to order more items or even getting an extra plate.

If you like a cozy and comfortable dining space, this one is a decent one to look into. The dining area is a small one, not very wide but deep'ish. The tables line the wall on the right side, there was some bar stools to sit at the bar area. They serve full bar style drinks as well as beers. The sushi is ok priced, some of the rolls came out super big, larger than expected. They were tasty. Tho on the menu it's mostly a Mexican style sushi. They are good rolls, but I didn't taste or feel like they had a true selection of Japanese style sushi other than the sushimi. If we return, it will be to try nothing off the menu but to do our normal "chefs choice" were we get to try chefs creations that aren't on the menu. Hopefully this will be an option here.

Arrived in DFW today and just didn't feel like going out so I Doordashed Edohana Sushi. I'm ordered a Tropical and Rainbow Roll and both were really good. The rainbow rolls was my favorite from the two. The rolls were bigger than expected and packed nicely. The food arrived timely. I would order from them again

This little spot has never disappointed me. I am a bit shocked that I am just not doing a review. The Lady Karen (carb less roll) and the Red Rose are by far my favorite s here. That's just because I prefer the no rice rolls. Which is another reason I keep coming back. They have more options than most sushi restaurants without rice. I've been here with friends and I've been here on a date, as well as by myself. It's great for any occasion. You do have to take into account that it's small so if you have a large party I'd call ahead. They also now have outside seating, just a couple tables but when weather permits that will be nice. The servers here have always been great as well, helpful and on top of everything you may need.

Was not crowded for a Saturday night at 6pm The take out orders were flying We decided to sit at the sushi bar but the was a mistake .. the sushi chefs kept piling the take out orders in front of us and the manager was packing the bags and would constantly reach over us to get to the orders ... Not to mention the slightly sticky sushi bar. The nostalgia of sitting at the bar to watch the rolls and sushi being made is what I look forward to. But it bothered me that the take outs orders were staged in front of us to then have the manager reach over us and load the take out bags .... It was resolved only after I mentioned it ... Now I admit I over order but here is the twist ... The staff forgot to make two of the Maki rolls we ordered. It worked out as we had them prepare it to go, but the reason I think they forgot is the slew of take out orders they prioritized over patrons dining in. While the Tempura was good and the Nagiri and Maki were nice, the staff and the obvious take out orders taking precedence over the dine in patrons was troublesome. By 7pm the place was full... Only 26 people can sit at tables, you have a dozen sushi bar seats, but again, the sushi bar was used to pack take out orders ... Would I recommend this place ? NO Take maybe But aesthetics, atmosphere and staff kinda takes away from the experience

Overall, this was a cool hibachi spot. The portion and prices were fair. The food was good, but not great. My primary complaint is the salads, the presentation was so bad I didn't even want to try it. Like plastic bowls?? Really? Otherwise, everything else I was pleased with.

Quaint sushi place. Seated immediately, and friendly service. We both enjoyed our food, nothing to complain about.

Wow! Can we say flavor booooooomb in your freaking mouth. Talk about a great experience and good eats. I had 4 rolls here -Tx Cowboy roll, the panic roll, the valentine's roll, and another that I can't remember. Honestly, everything was soo good and flavorful. The Tx cowboy roll was a nice mixture of seafood. Actually, it was a mix between your favorite roll with an eel sauce or sauce of some sort with calamari. The crunch in this roll, and the light fresh strawberry and mango flaor on the valentine's roll were minid blowing. I actually think my eyes rolled to the back of my head. The panic roll was all spice. It was topped with crab meat and a thin fresh slice of jalapeno that was SO.FREAKIN.AMAZING!!!! I'll definitely be trying this nice lil quaint restaurant again. I wont be happy until intry the whole menu!

Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is a Japanese hand roll restaurant that focuses on fresh seafood,…read moremade-to-order sushi, and a more interactive dining experience. We walked into a space centered around sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each hand roll in front of us, which gave the meal a more personal feel compared to a traditional sushi restaurant. The setup is smaller and more intimate, making the experience feel closer to a sushi bar rather than a casual meal spot. The biggest highlight is the quality of the fish and the hand rolls themselves. The seafood tastes fresh, clean, and carefully prepared, with options like salmon belly, otoro, kanpachi, and crab hand rolls standing out. We ordered a few different rolls and found each one well executed, with the fish having a clean, bright flavor that did not rely on heavy sauces or toppings. Each roll is made individually, so the nori stays crisp and the textures come through better than pre-made sushi. The menu has a good balance of classic choices and more creative combinations, making it easy to try different flavors throughout the meal. The chef interaction adds another layer to the visit. Since everything is prepared right in front of you, we could see the attention put into each piece, from assembling the ingredients to serving it at the right moment. The chefs were precise in their movements and took the time to explain the different fish and flavor profiles, which made the meal feel more like an experience rather than just ordering sushi off a menu. One thing to plan for is the wait. Hatsuyuki does not take reservations, and the popularity means there can be a significant line during busy hours. We arrived earlier and found it helped us avoid a longer wait. Seating is limited, but that also helps maintain the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant. The intimate size of the bar means the service stays focused and the pacing remains personal, even when the restaurant is full. Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is one of the stronger sushi experiences in the area for anyone who enjoys fresh seafood and a more curated dining style. The wait can be a downside, but the quality of the fish, chef preparation, and overall atmosphere make it worth visiting, especially if you are looking for something beyond standard sushi rolls. The focus on craftsmanship and the personal interaction with the chefs elevate the meal into something more memorable than a typical sushi stop.

This was our second time, and it was completely packed within 10 minutes of opening for lunch.
