My wife and I were looking for a good breakfast as we were driving from Oxnard to Palmdale. The place had 4 stars so thought it would be worth our while. Wrong. Ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were hard, seemed like days old and very little gravy was poured over the biscuits. I don't normally do reviews but I just had to give out my yaaahhh!! to the Egg Plantation for this past Sunday, April 1, 2018 where the restaurant was packed due to Easter Sunday's crowd. We were a party of 15, which the restaurant normally doesn't seat, but graciously allowed us to be part of the Easter crowd...I have to point out that our server, Angela and the rest of the staff was incredibly professional in handling us so superbly that it was probably the best experience I personally have had in a long time at a restaurant. She got all our orders written down perfectly even though we asked her for multiple checks as we had 2, 3 and 4 people who needed separate checks. She always had a smile and made sure the associates who worked in her area supported her and helped her though the entire meal...She rates an A+++ in my book... The entire restaurant staff was cordial and extremely professional in the way they were handling a huge crowd on this day...Kudos to everyone associated with this great restaurant...I wholeheartedly recommend you try this establishment if you haven't been here before or have not been back for awhile.... We really enjoyed our breakfast well worth the wait. Great menu, friendly and efficient staff and really good food. Our party tried an omelette, pancakes and the plantation Benedict all three were very tasty. I was worried that we'd have to sit outside on the patio because it was hot, but don't worry, with the fans, misters and canopies you'll be completely comfortable. They think a tip these days is mandatory. No, it isn't. You get what you give. Oh and on weekends or holidays, the line is really long. Mostly because there isn't anything in this area that you can go to. You're basically forced to eat here unless you drive 20-30 min out of santa clarita. remember, LONG LINES DO NOT MEAN GOOD FOOD. My girlfriend had taken me here for breakfast. And till this day I still bug her about when's the next time we would go back. These omelets are huge! With so many omelet choices its hard to just choose one haha. I really don't think you can go wrong because all of the omelets seemed good. My girlfriend opted for the stuffed strawberry french toast man and they ain't like regular french toast you ain't tried french toast till you tried these. Awesome breakfast !!! The service is very friendly. I came on a Tuesday and lucky for me I didn't have to wait for a table. I soon noticed the this place would be packed in no time. The coffee is very good. I would come here just for a cup of coffee. The omelet's are very good and portions plentiful. My bf and I came here due to wanting to try a new place while on the road up north to L.I.B. Let's just say we left disappointed and wondering where all the positive reviews were coming from. It was pretty questionable to us. I ordered the plantation Benedict with a side of country potatoes. The Benedict it's self was ok and the potatoes look delicious but we're not. They served a good amount but they weren't even warm. By the time I was done with my Benedict they were almost completely cold. I've lived in SCV my whole life but today was my first time in. I can see why the line is out the door on weekends..had the mushroom, zucchini, spinach, and jack cheese omelet. For a slight extra charge I was able to have it split between me and my daughter and we still were able to each get sides. It was wonderful..not greasy at all and I left satisfied. The place was busy and crowded but the staff was efficient. I'll for sure be back! read more

My friends and I love to go here to get together and I recommend it for anyone who just wants a great breakfast! I love the omelet with avocado, cream cheese, and ham! I think it was number seventy five! I also love the different French roasts that they have here. The service is always good but sometimes takes longer than I'd like. I enjoyed the ambiance and feel of this place. Why I rated it 3: It was Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. We waited for about 20 minutes even when we were told we would be seated in 10. We noted that a bigger group of 8 that came after us was seated first. That can be quite unnerving. I ordered omelet # 101 - eggplant with sirloin steak, Jack cheese and Ortega chilies. I am sure I will not order that again. The steak was bland and tasted "old." We offered feedback to our waitress about it, who in turn informed the owner. The owner then gave us a 10$ certificate which we refused since our feedback was meant for simply that - just feedback. She insisted that we take the certificate although we could sense that she wasn't too pleased on being given that type of comment about an omelet on the menu. The nice thing about it is that there are 100 other omelets to try. The Plantation Benedict (which my fiancé ordered) is a definite winner. Prices are a little steep, but overall this place has what it takes to be in the Top 10 breakfast places in SCV. read more

The other day I watched the green mile and I thought to myself; what meal would I have for my last meal. A few years ago, my friend brought me to the Egg Plantation. It was my birthday (Egg Plantation gives away free meals on your birthday) and I ordered one of the most expensive meals on their menu, the Filet Benedict. It was the most delicious thing that I have ever eaten and would absolutely be what I would choose for a final meal. Unfortunately, I haven't ever tried anything else other than variations of their benedicts because they are so amazing. They have over 100 omelets, one more daring then the next, their coffee is delicious and is from a local grower called the Newhall Roasting Company. The service is always great, they have an outside area to eat and is located in the nice side of Newhall. The only advice I can think of for newcomers is calling ahead when coming on a weekend morning, the locals all know about this place and frequent heavily Friday through Sunday mornings. read more

For Father's Day they gave them wiki stix and dads got a Swiss Army knife set. 101 different omelettes and great French toast! I come here for breakfast when I want to enjoy a cute outdoor patio and eat a delicious omlette. The Denver omelette comes with a muffin or toast ad a side of either potatoes or fruit. I always get wheat toast with jam and the country potatoes and its sooo good!!! Veggie Huevos Rancheros are amazing. So are the Chilaquiles. Both are served best with a side of fresh salsa and fresh diced jalapenos. Plantation Bloody is spicy, but not uncomfortable, great mix. I found this place 4 years ago on Yelp when I first moved to SCV from the OC. I was not disappointed and I have come back time and time again over the years. It's still my favorite breakfast spot in town. Super busy on weekends, but they do allow call-ahead seating. Just remember to check in when you arrive, then hang out and peruse the cute little boutique next door, Propinquities, while you wait. read more

I found this place last year when my kitchen was being remodeled. My daughter and I love this restaurant. She's 5 so that says a lot! They give stickers with the kids menus which keeps her much more entertained than crayons (although they give those as well) and sometimes they give wiki stix. We prefer the stickers though! The food is amazing and the soy latte is such a treat. It comes with house made biscotti that is so delicious and soft! We love the chocolate chip biscotti because "it's dessert for breakfast" my daughter says. I've been coming here about once a week for a year now and I will continue to. The service is always good, sometimes great depending in the server. The vegan options are plentiful for our vegetarian diet. And the ambiance is small local mom and pop shop which I like.
