Such a delicious egg sandwich! My boyfriend had been raving about this place for ages and I'm so glad I finally got to try it out. We ordered a bacon and cheese egg sandwich to share. It was so rich and creamy and bursting with flavor. I don't know how they made the eggs so fluffy but it was amazing. Definitely a bit too heavy and buttery for me but it makes for a nice meal once in a while. read more

I am super sad to update my review with a way lower rating. But the breakfast that we got today was only like the first 5-star worthy experience in looks alone. The 2 sammiches & tots that we got were gorgeous, and packaged securely to go. But all the items were WAY over salted. To the point where we couldn't eat more than a few tots each & 1-2 bites of the sammiches. After we had that small amount of food, we were both so over salted that we drank water nonstop for the rest of the day. We are wondering what else besides salt could have caused this severe of a reaction. Maybe msg? The last time we ordered tots, they were just salted but this time they had a seasoned salt all over them. And that same flavor was all over the sammiches. Maybe that seasoned salt has msg in it. I am really disappointed that there was this much of a difference in the food. Being overly salted is not a good thing, & this level of inconsistency makes me not want to return again. read more

nice place i got the original royal west sandwich and it was really good the onions were nicely cooked and the beef was sooo good and crispy. the egg was a little more runny than i expected and i do prefer it to be cooked a little more but it was still good! my sister got the avo egg sandwich and she really liked it! the service was pretty fast too we ordered from a kiosk and our food came not too long after, so overall, no complaints! read more

WOW this place is amazing! I am so glad they opened a location right next to UCLA in Westwood. If you're a college student and need to eat breakfast/lunch but you're too lazy to cook this is the place to go. I've been SO many times and their egg sandwich is so good but after trying the breakfast burritos I have to say the breakfast burritos are EVEN BETTER WOW. The iced matcha latte was a bit watered down and did not taste very strong with matcha so it was okay I think you can skip that but the breakfast burritos and the sandwiches are amazing. The inside is cute if you go on off times there's always tables but if you go not during off times it can be PACKED so I've ordered to go a few times but it's still delicious regardless read more

I'm so happy that Egg Tuck opened a Westwood location! Their egg sandwiches are some of the best that I've tried, with soft and fluffy eggs that are in a class of their own. The toasted brioche bread is also phenomenal; the toast is thick with crispy exterior and pillowy dough. Their spicy and creamy sauce complements the sandwiches perfectly as well. Portion sizes are large and the sandwiches are very filling. The ordering process is also smooth and quick, and you can select the order from their kiosk. Be sure to ask for forks and napkins from their lovely store staff, since the sandwiches can get messy. read more

Learn from my failure... I Finally got to try this place! But I didn't do a good job of ordering... Personally, it's just so irresistible, for ME, to resist a breakfast burrito. I think it might be my favorite food in the world. So obviously, I got that. But I think you come here for the sandwiches... They look amazing. my sister and niece ordered wisely and got them, said they were great. Crispy toasted bread. They had to eat the top of it with a fork. The burrito was good, but it just tasted like when you can get anywhere. Especially because I didn't get it with their signature beef. Man, I really failed at ordering. If I get a chance to go back, I'll definitely get a sandwich AND... **** the tater tot's with fried egg on top **** looked amazing. Didn't like the food - the breakfast sandwich is extremely greasy and the eggs are overly creamy and have so much butter in it. I could see how someone would like this, but it was starting to gross me out and didn't even finish it. And for "pure orange juice", it tasted like Minute Maid. They pack a lot of money into their packaging, perhaps it should get thrown into their food instead. I'd much rather go to Egg Slut for a high end breakfast sandwich. read more

Wow, where has this been all my life. So simple yet soooo delicious. I got the royal west, which was damn good - it had much more weight and meat to it than expected and is very, very reasonably priced relative to the rest of la. But I was espeeecially blown away by the fluffy fries. Liberal amount of eggs, perfect amount of sauce (not too little or much), and somehow they were CRISPY. And again - excellent price point. It's good but it doesn't quite hit the spot for me. Fluffy eggs and slightly sweet, soft yet perfectly toasted bread, presentation is solid... ... but such fluffy eggs are tough to do a perfect, Instagram-friendly presentation. So all those really awesome photos? Doable but hard to replicate the very best. Tater tots topped with an egg and sauces are delish the first few bites, but you rapidly realize you've suddenly had a lot of egg (and to lesser extent, deep fried tots) about the time you're halfway through. So the menu, while all on-theme and very much on point, doesn't quite seem like a place that I enjoy through and through-- at least not without risking a heart attack or at least wishing for a nap. Service was mostly good, one slight hiccup near the end. 3.5 stars. Not sure rounding down feels right, but also not 100% sold that rounding up is right. read more

Egg Tuck recently opened in Westwood, and it definitely has to be one of my favorite spots. You order on the kiosk and then pick up your food on the counter. Their speciality is their egg sandwiches but they also have burgers and breakfast burritos. I decided to try their bacon egg sandwich which was so so good. The eggs were so fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and the bread was perfectly toasted. The food is definitely on the heavier side, and I was super full after eating one sandwich. This place is your Korean fusion kinda place serving up egg toast sandwiches. If you don't like fusion, don't come. Their brioche bread is quite buttery and but still manages to maintain some crispiness from toasting. Their sriracha aioli isn't spicy at all but the flavor pairs really well with the egg. They mainly focus on beef/galbi, and I wish they had other meat options beside ham/bacon, as you would imagine korean fusion would include something like pork belly. Price wise it was $10.50 before tax/tips, so not too bad, and it definitely kept me full. My main comments were that the service was way too slow. It took around 20 minutes to get my sandwich, and for reasons unbeknownst to me, people who ordered after me got their items much sooner. I would suggest ordering online ahead of time if you are coming for lunch. When comparing egg sandwiches though, I would have to say eggslut wins by a smidge, just because they have more choices in terms of style of sandwiches and choice of protein. read more

This is a super yummy quick, casual spot to eat for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I always get the Ham and Cheese Sandwich (I've never tried anything else), and it has always hit. The eggs are a bit runny, but I do prefer that. Service was quick and efficient. My big parties have never had to wait too long for our food. I stopped by for my first visit today and had the egg and avocado tuck. It was delicious. I'm glad there is not one closer to my house or I would get fat and go broke. I didn't know before I went in that the tuck is actually a thick slice of brioche sliced PARTIALLY in two, and then the goods are tucked into it. Cute concept, except it leaves about an inch at the bottom of the thick slice that is just bread. In the photos, the you see the top part of the bread, which is sliced about 3/4 of the way down. Not a big deal, just something I didn't know going in. I will be going back. read more

I'm always looking for a good breakfast sandwich or burrito, but it's hard to find one that is walking distance from where I work. I'm happy to report that I found one, Egg Tuck! I ordered the Royal West Egg Sandwich with a side of tater tots, and it didn't disappoint. It a Korean galbi patty, a over medium egg, house sriracha aioli, cheese, chives and grilled onions, all between two thick slices of house made brioche bread. It was super tasty and the egg yolk was just a little runny, perfect! They give a good amount of tater tots that were crispy and well seasoned. The restaurant is very clean and bright inside. Staff is friendly and service is fast. You place your order using a kiosk when you enter and then grab a seat, they have ample table seating inside. Love love this spot!!! You can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches or even burrito. You walk in and it's a self service kiosk and your food comes out shortly after which is awesome. It's super quick and at this location there's a lot more people but the food still comes out in a timely manner. Parking is iffy unless you park in the garage and if you're lucky you find street parking. read more

This is a relatively new establishment in the Westwood scene, serving up some crazy egg sandwiches at reasonable prices. I came here for lunch on a Thursday at around noon and it wasn't very busy, quite easy to find seating. The egg sandwiches here are stuffed and super tasty - the scrambled eggs are soft, buttery and creamy and they're served on the softest, billowiest brioche bun you've ever had. I am a little greedy with food so I got the avocado egg sandwich but also added some bacon for a little extra and I did not regret it - the bacon adds a bit of an umami hit while the avocado accentuates the natural creaminess of the scrambled eggs in the sandwich. Service was a bit slow, I felt like it took longer than expected since it's just toasted bread, egg, cheese, & bacon. The filling in the sandwich was soooo much which I really liked, it was oozing out with egg and there was a good amount of bacon in there. I tried this place a weekend or two ago with some friends. I tried the signature egg sandwich and it was good, the eggs were soft and the bread was fantastic. I did feel it was a bit pricey, but I loved the honey lemonade. I walk by this place almost every day on my way to and from the gym and my life hasn't been the same since I first tried it. Egg Tuck is now my favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch place in Westwood and I can't stop getting a burrito or sandwich when I walk by. It's the perfect amount of carbs and protein for post-workout and everything is consistently delicious. Ordering is done on a kiosk at the front door. The menu isn't huge and I'd recommend getting a drink too. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful and keep the place really clean. I usually get my food to go but there's almost always available seating and a water station. I have nothing negative to say about this establishment, I wish it was a bigger chain that I could access anywhere. read more

The egg sandwich uses brioche but besides brioche there's a lot of butter. I think it was way too buttery and took away from the natural flavors of the egg and bread! Looks much prettier than it tastes. read more

As someone who is a big fan of Eggslut, I was excited to give them a shot and see how their offerings compared. One of the things I ordered was the chai tea vanilla, and I have to say, it was quite delicious. It had a strong cinnamon flavor, similar to a cinnamon roll or churro. It was quite sweet, but as someone who enjoys sweet things, I found it to be very enjoyable. For my main dish, I ordered the original sweet egg sandwich with an added cheddar cheese. I thought this was a great addition to the sandwich as it added some extra flavor and texture. I also requested Sriracha on the side, which was a good call as I am not a big fan of Sriracha. The sandwich itself was okay, but the eggs were slightly undercooked which made it a bit messy to eat. The bread had a nice French toast flavor, but overall the sandwich was just a 3 out of 10. I found that the whole sandwich kept falling apart and I had to keep using napkins to clean up. In addition to the sandwich, I also ordered the tater tots, but I found them to be a bit bland. They didn't have much flavor and I found myself wanting more seasoning. All in all, while I was excited to try Egg Tuck, my experience was just okay. After I forgot about this place, I came to Westwood Village to walk around with my dad who came from Korea to visit the family on last Saturday. I walked in without hesitation since it was about lunchtime and we didn't know what to get anyways lol Thank GOD I made it on the perfect time so I didn't have to wait so long for the food! They had around 20+ seats available. The workers greeted us well and they helped me out with order process. They have two kiosks where you can place your own order, and I got a recommendation from one of the worker. I got myself Bacon & Cheese with Avocado added and my dad got a Royal burrito.
