So after years of coming to this spot -- and literally convincing my friends to spend their money here I'm officially breaking up with this location. The food has been falling off for a while, but it was convenient, so I kept giving them chances like it was a toxic situationship. Today was the final red flag parade. Somehow I got charged for two orders -- one around $17 and another over $11but only received one. I walked in, wasn't greeted, meanwhile everyone else coming in after me was getting "Hi! Welcome!" like a TikTok influencer meet-and-greet. I get my one lonely bag, no acknowledgement that anything's missing, and I leave. Then my bank hits me with the "SURPRISE, BABE" alert showing two charges. I go back, and the manager, Augustina, suddenly develops selective memory. First she pretends she has no clue what I'm talking about, then admits they saw the two orders but "thought it was a mistake" and just... didn't give it to me. No apology, no accountability, just vibes. When I asked for proof of the refund, she tells me she can't provide any and that I should just wait a few days and hope for the best like I'm tracking a package from Temu. Then I ask for my now-cold sandwich to be warmed up, not replaced, just reheated like a normal human request. It was also on the way to Beverly Hills which is where we were going afterwards, so that was convenient. The name says it all! It's literally egg sandwiches/burritos and that's basically it! A very small, but DELICIOUS menu. It's not big in this place either. In fact, something to keep note of is *THERE IS NO SEATING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE*! It's literally a place where you order your food, wait and go. The specialty of this restaurant is scrambled eggs with their fresh brioche bread. Very simple! The way you order is very simple. There are two iPads when you walk in and you put in your order on that. Then you pay and you wait. The service wasn't that bad in there. It was a little slow for the amount of people working there, but that being said, it wasn't super slow. It was very manageable. The style of the restaurant is also pretty cool. It's (to-a-degree) minimalistic, but also not at the same time. So what did I get? Well, I got a Bacon, egg and cheese with some aioli sauce, sandwich on a Brioche bread. Firstly, the brioche bread was perfect. The color of the bread after toasting was perfection and the taste of the brioche wasn't too sweet. So it didn't overpower the eggs. The eggs were also cooked to perfection. They were wet, and juicy which is just how I like them! There is even a sign in the restaurant saying "don't worry, the eggs may look undercooked, but it's the way we make them, so we assure you they are cooked!" Also the bacon and cheese were excellent as well. This place seemed like a very popular place from locals and tourists. So I would not consider this place a tourist destination at all. I'd just consider it your normal neighborhood egg restaurant. If you like eggs and you like eggs on a brioche bun and are in the area of Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA, I highly recommend you give Egg Tuck a try! It's truly an egg-cellent experience! read more

Because Egg Tuck is situated inside a strip mall, parking is easy to find. Though there is bar seating and counters inside, there are signs posted inside that say "No Eating." I'm guessing since COVID, there has been no change to their dining policy. Since the spot is so small, there are no bathrooms here as well. I ordered a Ham & Cheese Egg Tuck. At over $10 a sandwich, it's not cheap, but the sandwich is filling. The brioche bun is soft and buttery. The bun isn't cut all the way through to the bottom to prevent the egg from falling through -- smart design. The eggs themselves are excellent: extremely fluffy with a sweetness to it. The aioli in the ham & cheese sandwich had the mildest amount of spice to it as well. The sweetness of the onions and brioche bun provides the perfect counterbalance to the saltiness of the beef patty and sharpness of the cheddar cheese. Word of caution! This thing is messy especially because of the egg. Make sure if you are eating you are eating over something or have napkins handy. Avo Egg (4.5/5) - Whereas the Royal West was stuffed with ingredients, the avo egg is simplistic, but equally beautiful. Instead of the over medium egg, the eggs are scrambled to a nice fluffy consistency. When combined with the creamy avocado, it somehow creates this melt in your mouth sensation that is just great! Egg tots (3.5/5): These were good tater tots with a nice crunchy exterior and potato pieces on the inside. The egg does provide something different but nothing that would make me need to order this again. Would probably order the regular tater tots if craving next time.
