Perfect brunch spot. Friendly service and delicious food :) We usually like to try different restaurants while on vacation, but loved Eggs n Things so much we came here twice. The sides of potatoes are a must!! We got the steak and eggs, mochi waffles, island fried rice, breakfast burrito, and ENT burger. Super convenient location -- the wait time can get long so join the waitlist on Yelp & you can either walk around some of the shops or stay in your hotel while checking your spot in line via the Yelp app.

Avg food but very photogenic & filling, long wait. A giant cockroach crawled onto the waiting area sent guests scattering. Good service & we were lucky to score a table with the beach view. Coffee was strong & solid

Food was actually really good especially being right on the beach. You are paying for that view, there are cheaper breakfast spots but you may not have a beach right there. One boy got Keiki pancakes with chocolate chips, and the other got the Hawaiian pancake sampler. I didn't want anything big so I looked at getting something that would reheat well later. I ended up with the breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage and it was actually really good!! Service was great.

2d visit: better than the first! Plantation Porkchop and the Ahi breakfast were spot on perfect. Also, 6:10 arrival ensured us a window seat!

First of all, if you love breakfast, this is a great place for you. Be sure to add your name to the waiting list on Yelp about an hour before you want to eat -- unless you're an early bird and are there when they open the doors at 6 am. And I've been there and done that and you still have to wait in a line -- they fill this tiny restaurant as soon as the doors open. So what's great? Kalbi beef and eggs with kimchi. Macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup. Loco moco. There are crepes and omelets and French toast and eggs Benedict's, too. But you're in Hawaii, so get something Hawaiian. And there are a lot of locally items. And the Iced tea is brewed and refreshing. If you're lucky, you'll get a booth next to the open windows that overlook Waikiki Beach. I've never been lucky and had those seats but that's okay. The food is the star.

Visited Eggs n things with a group of 4 (3 adults and a toddler). We made the mistake of not joining the waitlist prior to getting there as they were packed. When signing in on the tablet out front it estimated a 25-30 minute wait which turned into just over an hour. Once we made it inside we were promptly greeted by our server and put in our drink order and meals since we already knew what we wanted due to the wait. The views were great and it was really chill inside. Food and drink came quickly and didn't disappoint appoint. I had the POG juice and the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle. The flavors were great and everything was so fresh. I didn't try anyone else's food at the table but they all loved it. I almost took away a star only because of the wait but can't but the blame on them

Epic view

Steak was delicious with the Kona coffee rub. I added side of kimchi for my rice. My husband loved his guava burger said it was like a high end rodeo burger :) POG & Orange Mimosas was a treat! Great service, very patient as we scrolled through the many options for breakfast. Epic views too! Enjoy!

Coconut macadamia nut pancakes, Portuguese sausage, homemade coconut syrup

Food is delicious and the gift shop is cute. Had coconut macadamia pancakes, fresh pineapple, and Portuguese sausage. They make their own coconut syrup (I wish they sold it, I would buy a gallon). And very friendly people too.

Kent was amazing!! So kind and sweet. The food quality was great, with good portions. The view of the ocean creates a nice ambiance with an ocean breeze. This place is good so it can be busy, I recommend putting my your name in through Yelp to mitigate the wait period during peak hours.

Nice food with fair price. But there are a lot of people waiting, all participants should arrive when the you are called

Rainbow pancakes

Great food and big portion sizes almost too big I felt terrible I couldn't finish it all! But it came out fast and was hot and fresh. The server was very nice and we were given the option to sit at the counter va a table so we could be seated faster. It was a little loud inside because it's a lot of people in a small space but otherwise it was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient!

Loco Moco

The wait time was over 30 mins, which is normally okay when the food is worth it, but unfortunately this was not really the case. Our server was wonderful but the food was really just average. We ordered the Chicken n Waffles (dont even get this southern lady started), Steak n Eggs (decent but somehow no actual flavor on the steak), and the Loco Moco (which was alright, I'm told). It's an okay pick for a regular breakfast but nothing to write home about.

Kalbi and eggs

Wtf? Kalbi and eggs? Is this how you offer your food to guests? $27.00..? Have more respect!

Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress

Do they have gluten-free pancakes or sourdough toast?

Yes

Are there gluten free items here?

Aloha, Amber! We do have gluten-free (GF) options. We have a lot, but the main ones are the GF Chicken Mango Sausage, the Acai Bowl (GF Granola), the Potatoes, Rice, and Local Beef steak. We hope this helps. We hope to serve you soon :)

Where can I find parking, I don't mind paying for parking?

Check with the hotel next to it. They may have paid parking.

Are you still at 50% capacity and do you still require masks and vax passports? Cuz Yelp info still says you are and do.

When we were there, no masks or vaccine passports were required.

Is there sit down dining available?

Yes there is. We are still at 50% capacity, but we are able to still seat people inside and outside.

Are the pancakes worth delivery? Cold?

If the delivery service can get it to you within the hour it's really good. We don't a lot of control over that. After that, the quality can go down a bit. If you heat it up, use a wet paper towel to cover it and microwave for 30 seconds or so and…

Can I order to go?

Yes, you can.

Sitting right by the ocean, you can feel the cool mist rolling in while enjoying your meal. It created the perfect island dining experience. From the warmest hospitality to the best food we had in Honolulu, XO completely exceeded our expectations. We only wish we had a restaurant like this back home in Chicago. Every dish was memorable. The Hamachi Crudo was the best we had on the island, fresh, vibrant, and perfectly citrusy balanced. The fried chicken absolutely lived up to the hype and then some. My personal favorite was the perfectly seared scallop with crusted shrimp, an unforgettable combination. My husband and I also decided to add the salmon, and we were so glad we did. Every bite was plump, fresh, and beautifully blackened. What truly blew us away was the value. We've been fortunate enough to dine at Alinea and EL Ideas in Chicago, and XO reminded us of what those restaurants might have inspired at a fraction of the price. The level of creativity, execution, and care that goes into every plate is extraordinary, yet the experience is incredibly approachable. We left completely satisfied, already talking about when we could come back. One bonus, if it's your thing! It's currently BYOB while awaiting their liquor license renewal in August, so if you enjoy pairing your own wine or drinks with dinner, take advantage of it while you can. And do not even think about skipping dessert. The Brown Butter Bunny Mochi was the single best sweet bite of our entire trip, even edging out the delicious malasadas we raved about all week. Whether you take an Uber, rent a car, or make the short drive from Waikīkī, it's worth every minute. This is the kind of place locals should be proud of and visitors will never forget. If you want to eat like a local while treating yourself to one of the best meals on the island, XO is the place. Just go!

After sitting there for 40 minutes, another hostess came to confirm our names. When we asked where we were on the waitlist, she suddenly told us it would be another hour and that we wouldn't be seated until after 9:30. When we explained that we had specifically been told 9:00 p.m., instead of apologizing for the miscommunication, she immediately argued with us, insisted we were wrong, and spoke to us in a rude, dismissive, and condescending manner. There was zero empathy. Long wait times are understandable. Poor customer service is not. If the original estimate had been accurate, we would have made different dinner plans instead of wasting nearly an hour waiting under false expectations. What made this experience so frustrating wasn't the wait--it was being treated like we were lying about what we had been told. The hostess's attitude completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening. We left and took our business elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants in Waikīkī that value their guests and know how to treat people with basic courtesy and respect. I would not recommend Duke's based on this experience.
