I visited for the first time today and can see why this place is so good. Some thoughts: They have tablet waitlist out front. You enter your name and cell# and they text you the wait time and when your table is ready. I got in fast as I chose to eat at the counter but it's not a traditional counter like you might expect. It faces a wall, and is the only reason I couldn't give this location 5 stars. But the Kona coffee they have was so good that I had a second cup, which I rarely do. I'd never had Loco Moco before and it lived up to my expectations. If you've never tried it, this is the place to do so. They have an air of efficiency here, kinda like at In & Out, which really helps reduce the wait times. The total cost for my Loco Moco and coffee was $25, including tip. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Turkey Bacon and Eggs with potatoes as my choice of carbs. My brother ordered the Crab Cake Benedict with a side of pancakes, and we decided to order the Acai Fresh Fruit Waffle to share. Breakfast was average -- nothing exceptional to note. After attempting to watch the sunrise at Waikiki, we were hungry and went to Eggs 'n Things. We were welcomed by the smell of freshly cooked bacon. We had made a reservation on their tablet and the wait at around 7am was already 20 minutes. It is a fairly small restaurant with limited seating and there is always a wait. The wait was definitely less than 20 minutes. We were seated in a booth and was provided menus. They had a great selection of Hawaiian inspired breakfasts. We ordered the breakfast wrap, spinach bacon and cheese omelette with breakfast potatoes, and spam and eggs with rice, and eggs and sausage with pancakes. The wait for food wasn't too bad and everything looked and smelled sooo good! We all enjoyed our meals and our plates were empty! The pancakes were fluffy and the portions were large enough to share amongst our group. I def really liked my bacon cheese and spinach omelette and the breakfast potatoes accommodated the meal so well. As we finished, the wait had definitely grown as there was a crowd of people waiting. We heard some fellow tourists raving about this place, so we decided to stop in. What first struck me was the open, airy feel the place. I loved the ocean breeze flowing through the dining area despite us being inside. I have decided to make a study of Loco Moco during my time in Hawaii, so I ordered the "Hawaiian Loco Moco" here. It wasn't my favorite Loco Moco, but that doesn't mean it won't be yours. I liked the Portuguese sausage that was dispersed through the gravy, and I'm always a fan of mushrooms. I just could have done with more gravy and more liquid yolk in the over easy eggs. My gf ordered the fresh whipped pineapple pancakes. They were light and pillowy, and the pineapple was a welcome accompaniment without being really sweet. I especially liked the chopped macadamia nuts on top of the mountain of whipled cream. The coconut syrup that accompanies the dish should be used with caution, as it is very sweet. This was an excellent finisher after Loco Moco (I could finish my dish but my gf could not finish hers).
