Food was great, service was pretty good, and the ambiance was a family friendly, relaxed breakfast spot. Very popular. We had put ourselves on a waitlist at 9am and were seated at 10:30. Luckily you can add yourself through the yelp app so we just relaxed in our hotel during the wait time until we were ready to go. Check in and go shopping for 1hr45min if you go at 10am on a Wednesday. Macadamia nut pancakes for me. Average. Bacon and eggs for the young and she said they were ok. Omelette for the wifey and she thought they were ok. Basically it was ok. Guy at Hilton told us to eat there and than another guy said how good it was so maybe it was just an Ok for our experience. We tried to go here yesterday morning and the morning before but the line to be seated was too long for us. This morning we resolved to wait it out, and we did. It took more than an hour to get seated but we strolled along the strip and returned when the app notified us; so not a big issue. They first tried to seat us at the counter but it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy there so we waited a few minutes more for a central booth. This turned out to be a mistake as it was so central within the small restaurant that each waiter seemed to think we were in the station of another... It took more than 15 minutes for us to order water and coffee. While we waited we got to see all those seated after us get waited on and even served before we merited their attention. DISCLAIMER: a primary reason we're vacationing in Hawaii in the first place it to chill out. We told ourselves that it would be good for us to relax and let it pass. So we did. Our food arrived and it was pretty tasty despite our crankiness. My fiancé had the Acai bowl and I enjoyed a Belgian waffle with pineapple and macadamia nuts. 3 words! Salmon Eggs Benedict!!!! Goshhhh I'm truly surprised that this place has a 3 star rating because I believe it truly deserves 5, no questions asked. It was my first time in Hawaii back in November and sadly enough, I only got to experience this spot once on my very last day of the trip. We tried giving it a shot on Day #2 (of our trip) when we came to the beach, but the line was super long and we were on a tight schedule. That's when I was convinced!! You can't have that long of a line and not be GREAT! There is no way. So luckily on the last day we gave ourselves some extra time. Their service was impeccable!! I love that you get to order and pay with the host while you are waiting to be seated. It speeds things up big time!! Once that is done, now all you have to do is wait for a table to clear and then your food comes right out. Great system! I couldn't help but order my favorite breakfast dish, "Salmon Eggs Benedict" and it exceeded my expectations!! Probably the best I ever had. I love that we were seated right by the open windows and got to enjoy the beach view while indulged in our unforgettable breakfast right before heading to the airport. Use Yelp to join the line as I know this location can be very busy. About an hour later headed down to the restaurant which was a block from our hotel. Checked in with the host and was seated fairly quickly thereafter. Because we were a party of 8, the host recommended we split between two tables so that we could sit comfortably, so she sat us back to back as the booths here are on the smaller side. We ordered with the very friendly waitstaff, and our food was out within minutes. Everything was very tasty and satisfying. Will surly return when in Waikiki again! read more

The wait has been long every time I visited. The worst was today when I checked in on yelp right in front of the establishment. I waited 60 minutes and then came back when I was 1st in line. Nolan who checked me in at the front stated that it looked like I checked in at the wrong location. I asked if he could help as I waited so long. He stated no and i would have to wait another hour. I then asked for the manager whose name is Edwin. I explained to Edwin the mixup and his only solution was to wait another hour or walk 15 minutes away. The food/coffee is like an ihop/dennys like a lot of the reviews say BUT never have i ever been to an ihop/Dennys with beachfront views or one that serves loco moco, spam and eggs, and lets talk about the pancakes...waaaaaay better than ihop/dennys.
