This is the second location we tried and it's just as impressive as the location in Waikiki. The service was quick, helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and has significantly more seating and space than the Waikiki location. But most importantly, the food was delightfully delicious with generous portions for the whole family. We love their food presentation; specifically when there is fruit involved in the dish. Their Açaí bowls are little rainbows of fresh,sweet, color. And their whipped cream was also fresh, rich and velvety. All of it was YUMMY!
Haven't been here in years and wanted to have a quick breakfast. It wasn't busy and I was seated immediately. I placed my order and the wait wasn't very long. I ordered the ENT Pineapple-Honey Chicken n Waffles. It was alright. I would've preferred to have a jar of syrup at the table because the syrup given on the plate wasn't enough. Upon receiving the check, I was surprised that they included Kamaaina/Military discount at 7am-12pm and that there was a 3% kitchen service charge. Inside was clean and service was good. Overall, it was an alright experience. I ate and was full.
IMO - best tasting loco moco out there! It's all in the gravy. potatoes are nice and crispy too with omelets. The kids had pancakes and mopped them all up, so they must've been good too.
Pretty busy on a rainy Friday morning, but we were seated right away. Service was perfect and very attentive. We ate with a toddler and they sate us in a comfortable booth in the corner. Ordered the Portuguese Omelette (sausage, spinach, cheese and onions) the onions were raw and sliced. Wish they were cooked/grilled and diced or at least smaller. Got the omelette with a short stack; other options were rice or seasoned potatoes. I thought a short stack was 2 pancakes, but we got 3! Yum ! Bathrooms were clean and parking is plentiful. Lots of Aloha spirit, tourists and locals enjoy this spot.
Ordered a loco moco to be delivered and the patty was fully undercooked. Didn't realize until after a few bites. Hopefully I don't get sick!
Good timing to get here at 11:30am because I didn't have to wait in line and my niece was on her way. Drank coffee until she arrived (the staff was amazing and entertaining). When my niece arrived we ordered. I had corned beef hash and scrambled eggs and my niece had the minced vegan patty with home fried potatoes. Eggs 'n Things still makes da best breakfasts.
On our Hawaii trip we stopped at one of the eggs n things locations and we were so happy we did! The portions were very generous and the food was made to perfection. Definitely try the adobo fried rice when you visit. The restaurant was very clean and our servers were welcoming and attentive to our needs!
I was back in Hawaii, and remembering the great meal I had here last time, I decided to come back. I got here a few minutes after seven on a Wednesday morning, and it was not busy at all..... as always, the place is bright and clean, and everybody was very friendly... This time, I decided to go for the Kal-bi short rib, with eggs and rice. The food came quick, and once again, it was amazing. The rib was tender, marinated very well, and absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly done, as was the generous portion of rice. It also came with a side order of kimchi. I almost asked him to leave it off, as I normally don't care for kimchi, because every time I've had it, it was very spicy. My server told me that this kimchi was not spicy, I decided to try it, and I am glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, tender, and it had just the tiniest hint of spice. Just enough that I barely noticed it. It didn't look like a big plate of food when he brought it, but it was a very generous portion. I did not leave hungry. As always, the coffee was also very good, and they kept my cup full. Prices are just a tiny bit on the higher end, but extremely reasonable for what you get. There is a small up charge if you pay with credit/debit, but they clearly make that known when you check out. Thank you again for a great meal,

Very busy location with good food and plenty of seating. I had the ribeye steak & eggs with a short stack of pancakes. Coconut syrup was a great local taste on top of my pancakes. Coffee was good, service very friendly and decent based on how busy they were. I wanted a refill on my coffee and had to go to counter to make request, not knowing my waiter was aware and was just waiting on a fresh pot. Great service but could have been better if communicated more verbally. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 due to the Aloha spirit and local vibes. Definitely will be back again!
Idk why I've never yelped this place but this was maybe my 4th of 5th visit to Eggs 'n Things. I usually bring family or friends here who visit us from the mainland but today's visit was just my husband and I. We were looking for someplace to eat that would kill time while we waiting for Ala Moana to open and decided on Eggs 'n Things. Tons of free parking and they offer waitlist service via yelp app. Party of 2 and zero wait :) Provided with water and drink order taken immediately upon being seated. Their menu is extensive and they offer typical breakfast items (i.e., pancakes, waffles, omelette) plus local favorites (i.e., fried rice, loco moco). My husband and I decided to share and chose the breakfast meat n eggs which comes with 2 eggs and your choice of spam, Portuguese sausage, chicken apple sausage, pork links, bacon, ham, turkey bacon, corned beef hash, or vegan patty plus a starch which could be rice, breakfast hash, or short stack of buttermilk pancakes. We chose Portuguese sausage with rice and two over easy eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly. 4 large slices of Portuguese sausage were delicious with a hint of heat/spiciness and that true smokey portuguese sausage flavor. Rice seemed dry like they didn't add enough water in the rice pot! We also decided on the 3 strawberry crepes. Ok, so here's where the WTF begins. 3 large crepes served rolled and topped with thin slices of strawberries then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Looks pleasant buttttt that's about it. The crepes were like pancakes or thinner pancakes but thick crepes. We also tasted cinnamon so we're thinking they must add that to their crepe batter!? These weren't the typical French origin crepes that are thin, delicate, with a hint of sweetness that were used to. These were bad! We'd probably return but we would most def stay away from ordering crepes ever again!
Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were definitely shareable if you like or if you're hungry will fill you up! The servers were all nice and friendly. We had about 3 different workers helping us. There is indoor seating available to enjoy your breakfast with family and friends. Clean place located by Ala Moana Center. This is one of our go to for breakfast when in Honolulu.
Used to be my favorite breakfast spot! What happened, Eggs n things? The service went downhill! I don't feel the aloha when I walk through the doors anymore. More like angry auntie greeting you and telling you to wait outside rudely. The wait is brutal even when you get yourself on waitlist. Total wait time for us was over an hour and 20 min for our food. I also had to ask for a refill for my coffee- nobody came around! Such a bummer because I really loved this location. They had top notch service here but I guess it's hard to find good people nowadays.

Omg this place is so ONO! My second time here & I need to come again soon. Staff is so friendly and we got our food in less than 10 min! My girl and I ordered the eggs Benedict on a taro bun plus the rib eye steak n eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly and the signature sauce with onions and mushrooms made it even better. For dessert, we ordered the banana mochi waffles if you guys are in the Ala moana area and need a place to eat some bomb local breakfast, come here! Can't believe I didn't eat here sooner. Great visit, scrumptious food! Third time here. A Thursday morning in Jan 2020, party of 4 including a toddler. Came early at 830am knowing that lines can build, so no wait at all. Service was great. Ample free parking. Food was deliciously scrumptious. Service was good. Prices were a tad high, but it's a given everywhere in Waikiki. Sad to see many low-star reviews, but our experience was awesome, no complaints. read more

Just left... i ordered a mimosa and you woulda thought I was holding up the joint by the judging looks. Was never once asked if I needed anything or how was my food. Eggs look like they came out of a squirt bottle... seriously.. see the picture. Toast came out half way thru the breakfast. Potatoes were undercooked.... I passively mentioned it as I gave her the plate and the waitress just asked if I wanted to order anything else... never gave two craps about anything else. I really wanted to say something while there but my wife's voice in the back of my head said to let it go... haha. It's really hard to mess up breakfast... it's literally one of the easiest meals... this place is terrible at it and they're service is half hearted at best. The early bird gets the worm! Meaning the only time I've eaten here was when it opens in the morning! If you can get here at that time, no wait and quick service. The food that I'vr tried is Paniolo Loco Moco, Crab Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Banana Crepes and hot cakes. My favorite from these selections is their Paniolo Loco Moco - white gravy, soft poached eggs, choppes bacon pieces with grilled onions and mushrooms. A very hardy breakfast to fill you up!! If you get the hot chocolate, make sure to ask them to have it hotter because all the extra whipped cream cools it down to chocolate milk. But who doesn't complain about extra whipped cream, hehe. Came here based on recommendation from friends but was slightly disappointed. Ok maybe a little more than slightly. But let's start with the good bc I hate writing bad reviews! The service was great, we were promptly seated, our food came out very quickly and we were checked on enough times. Unfortunately, I can say the same for the food. Well, not all of it. We ordered the portuguese and egg breakfast, standard, but the home potatoes really won us over. So much so, after I decided I couldn't put down any more of my french toast, I ordered a side of potatoes to fill up. The sweet stuff ain't all that. Sorry. I ordered the special hawaiian sweet french toast. For this month/today, it came with mandarin oranges and mac nuts. I chose to take it without nuts (allergy), but what i didn't realize was that they would just scoop mandarin orange slices from the can! Don't get me wrong, I grew up on those yummy canned sugary mandarin oranges. I never expected a restaurant to serve it to me as if it were fresh fruit on french toast. The good? They give you a mountain of whipped cream so if you love whipped cream, there's that! hehe. Sadly, my fave french toast is at Goofy Cafe and after today, I won't ever order it anywhere else. I might give them a try again for an actual egg dish (we miscommunicated in our group order decision and order too much sweet, our mistake) like their eggs benedict before totally writing off Eggs n Things to any friends visiting. read more

Eggs n Things... at the Ala Moana Center... My bf wanted to try this place for breakfast, while we were on vacation, bc he had heard their food was pretty good... so we go. The restaurant tables, chairs and the whole interior is pretty bare and simple... but we didn't go there to see their tables and chairs... I ordered the Rainbow Pancakes with macadamia nuts and guava syrup. THESE ARE THE BEST PANCAKES IVE EVER HAD! And that's not an exaggeration by any means. The food was absolutely beautiful and tasted absolutely amazing. We will go back here every chance we get! I can't recommend this dish enough. read more

My 10-year old said, "I give it 15 out of 10 stars!" Our family of four shared a loco moco, fresh strawberry and whipped cream pancakes, sausage/egg/fried rice plate and my favorite so far, the Kalua pork on taro bun (the Hawaiian version of eggs Benedict). We couldn't finish the pancakes because we were so stuffed! Everything was delicious - even my 11-year old who's normally a picky eater enjoyed all the food we ordered. Definitely a must when in Honolulu. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would!!!!! This was my favorite breakfast spot in Honolulu! We came here everyday! The French toast and Portuguese sausage was the start of the show for me! The coconut and guava syrup were great as well. I had the minced meat Portuguese sausage and spam with eggs and Hawaiian French toast. Finger licking good!!!! My son had the Açaí fresh fruit waffle and he really enjoyed it. My husband had the spinach and cheese omelet and the strawberry crepe he enjoyed his as well. read more

I was hoping to try this place last year with one of my besties, but the wait was almost 1 hr long. We instead had brunch at Yogurstory. Now fast forward to February 2017, at last I had my chance to eat breakfast with my bf after my long 12 hr night shift. As soon as we got to Eggs 'n Things, I went to put my name on the list. Several people walked in and got seated to a table before me and my bf. I found that very rude of the workers to seat someone who arrived after me. It would of been nice if the worker acknowledged me first before that other customer. But being the person who doesn't want to make a big scene, I let it go. One of the workers seated me and my bf next. The male server came up to us and got our drink orders started while we figure out what to order. The service was quicker than I expected. My order was a turkey bacon omelette and my bf choose the minced meat with scrambled eggs with a side of pancakes. The omelette was yummy and I liked the turkey bacon, but the omelette wasn't anything out of this world. The mined meat with scrambled eggs was just alright. My bf ate it all, but he didn't have much to say afterwards. Judging on his face, the food tasted ok. In conclusion, the service is quick and the servers are attentive. But the food tasted alright. Nothing extraordinary that it makes me wanna come back every time. The restaurant give local residents 5% discount on the bill, which is nice. I wished the hostess acknowledged me first before the other customers. It irked me a bit. *It be best if you come early because the parking lot is shared with other business in the area. read more

We walked right by it because it was tucked away in a corner strip mall, but worth the effort! Very glad that they have multiple locations because ever time we tried the Waikiki location, there was a line! The service was awesome! From their friendly hostess, server and cashier :-) prompt, friendly and informative! I had to try their Loco Moco. My son had an omelet and, of course, we had to split banana cream pancakes!!! This place is a tourist hubbub. It's advertised all over in the Japanese tourist magazines and in the newspapers. It's busy.. always. Good for them! This has been around for quite a while and opposed to the Waikiki location, this is pretty convenient. It is located on the outskirts of the mall Ala Moana on Piikoi Ave. Parking; there is quite a bit of parking early in the morning however if you are planning on going for lunch or later in the day, it does get a little bit tricky. However, if you wait a few minutes, you should find a stall. Food: I usually get my staple of an eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce on the side. I felt that the food was pretty average here for a eggs Benny. The muffin was overly large and not toasted entirely (one was cold) and there was a thin piece of salmon on one of my muffins that didn't even cover the entire muffin... come on! The consistency wasn't great because one of the poached eggs was already busted- bummer. You can see it in my pic. Previously I got chocolate chip waffles, this was the biggest disappointment for me. I love when Belgian waffles have chocolate chips thrown into the batter-- my waffle was literally a plain Belgian waffle with a handful of chocolate chips thrown on top. Ridiculous... just not what I was expecting and really subpar. Service is a crapshoot. Today I had great service but the last time I came, my water glass was empty for 20m and I had to flag down two waiters to get a refill on water. Kicker was there was 2 of us sitting down and only one of us got water haha. The wait staff could be better because the table wasn't clean- syrup all on the side which got on my shirt. Hey, I get accidents happen but can we properly wipe down a table for general hygiene?? However I do want to point out that the hostess this morning was extremely friendly and easy to chat with! A+ on the hostesses- always a good experience up front.. wish I could say the same for the rest of my experiences. Overall, I would say it's an Ok place to go- but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there unless the person I was meeting wanted to go. read more

I believe it's first come first serve. You put your name on the list if it's full. I normally go early to beat the breakfast rush if I plan to eat there on a weekend. Because covid restrictions remember seating is limited.
