Stopped here after our morning run and not sure we will return. Staff were all super friendly but we were not impressed with our food. Started out with a funny tasting Coke. Thought it was Dr Pepper but even the second glass tasted off. Hubby got a cheese omelet, hash browns and pancakes. Omelet was fluffy but very greasy - floating in it underneath. The hash browns tasted like they were cooked in jalapeño juice - very odd flavor. Pancakes were dry and had too much vanilla flavor in them. I had Avocado toast. There was no seasoning in the Avocado. It was basically smashed on a piece of toast and served with lemon, onion and tomatoes as sides and I had to assemble myself. Very disappointed in the lack of service and attention by service staff. We ended up leaving after waiting for almost 10 minutes after being seated. There were two servers and I'm guessing a host or maybe she was a busser, that basically just look in our direction but made no attempts to come to our table and there were only three tables with folks already eating. Had to smother the grits with salt to mask the poor taste. But everything else was excellent including the pancakes. I ordered the Traditional breakfast, wife ordered the Benedict breakfast. Wife said the dish was excellent. We got our 4 year old the 1 egg kids breakfast which I thought was a large portion for a kids breakfast. He didn't finish his meal so we helped him. First time we were here, we were sat at a table that was up against a legit door. Not sure how that's legal, but the problem was that the sun was blaring through the window. It was causing my father's face to get burned and we asked if it could be covered. We were told no bc it is a door, but a table can be put in front of it? Makes zero sense. Second time we were there, we were the 2nd people on the list and was told 5 min for a table. 15-20 min later other groups with the same size parties were walking up and getting seated before us. It seemed that they were regulars, and I guess they allow them to cut in front of others in line? We almost left but decided it was too late to go elsewhere now. Eggs are okay. Pancakes are dry and meh. My SO didn't care for his waffle. It was under-cooked and bland. My father got an omelet and bacon and the bacon was so burned it was inedible. I ordered two yogurt parfaits to go and they literally came in the styrofoam to go boxes with just all ingredients poured into the box and then the boxes were stacked into a plastic bag. We frequent this establishment and love the people and food! They are the greatest... ONLY SUGGESTION AND CONCERN: This restaurant has got away from cleaning the tables with soap and water and only cleans with toxic Lysol brand cleaner which is extremely unhealthy to inhale. There is a strong Lysol odor in the restaurant that is the only turn off! I wish this favorite restaurant of ours would abandon this practice and go back to cleaning with soap and water as it is healthier all the way around.
