Come early and you will have no issues. I used to visit this neighborhood a lot for family and we always went to Eggy's, now it's an addiction that I have to get if I am in downtown Chicago. I wanted to go to the Cantonese dim sum place but the wait time was too long. So I decided to try the Eggy's diner which is literally downstairs. I ordered the Eggy's burger and Eggy's the verb. The food was very delicious and the volume was huge!!!! I highly recommended the Eggy's burger. In burger, there were two eggs, several pieces of beef and two beef patties. Enough for two people to share if you are not tooo hungry. The home fries came with the verb were good too. They had spicy powder on the potatoes. The only thing I didn't like was their sweet potatoes fries. They had season on the fires which made them not sweet enough. Overall, it is a good place to enjoy a weekend morning read more

Originally wanted to go to Wildberry, but found this gem on Yelp instead! This brunch diner is tucked away quietly but should definitely not be forgotten about. Came in with a group of 4 on a Saturday afternoon at 2 (they close at 3) and was immediately seated! The atmosphere of this place is great for a casual dining experience and it was nice not to have to wait at all for a quality brunch. Even though they were close to closing they were very accommodating and happy to serve us. The food came out relatively quickly and everyone in our party was happy with our meal! (One thing to note, I specifically requested that they leave out the onions in my dish but they were still added in, a neighboring table also had their order mixed up, but they were happy to take it back and fix it) I would definitely come back with friends again though! read more

Food was good. Make sure on a weekend with two or more people you plan time to wait. I had the biscuit Benedict. Good but the eggs were a little well done and thy skimped on the hollandaise, which made for a dry Benedict. Coffee was good, as was the service. I'm sorry this place is not good or fresh. The service was good and our waiter was sweet but the food is either out of a box, freezer or can. Plus both meals (Benedict with pork and chicken and waffle) they sent were cold and the waffles for the Benedict were under done. I do not recommend eating here. read more

It is situated in an area with residential buildings and businesses together. This isn't the biggest place in town, but it could be one of the most popular! Took us 20 minutes to walk to it, and we got a table right away because we were on the list already, despite a long Sunday morning queue. We stopped in on a weekday morning last week, and it was busy enough that the only open seats were at the counter. I would've preferred a table, but it ended up working out! Steve (I think was his name) was amazing! He gave us great suggestions on the menu and was extremely friendly. He was working incredibly hard. I don't think I saw him stop moving one time, and even with the high volume he was keeping everything clean. The service was excellent, and the food was also deserving 5 stars. I am so heartbroken this place isn't where I live, in Texas! I had the Sicilian poor boy for lunch; it has grilled eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions on it as well as home made pesto and melted cheese. It was so flavorful!!! Awesome brunch. Stopped here after a conference and it was a short walk from the Hyatt to the small strip where it's located. Had the "Verb" which included and egg white omelet with avocado, green peppers and Swiss, with a side of fruit and grits - it was absolutely delicious. They have tons of options from breakfast burritos and pancakes to light fare, and everything in between. Very quick service and super nice staff, everyone was so courteous and friendly, and kept my coffee and water refilled without asking. WiFi is a plus as well.
