After Yelp posted a round up of bagel places, I went on a bagel hunt to five locations. Sorry, everyone else, but no one can beat Einstein's. The density and flavor of their bagels is just right. They are nice and chewy, not puffed up round bread like I found in some "bagel" places. This time I ordered an egg white sandwich on a sesame seed bagel. It came with tomato cream cheese, sliced tomato, and avocado. Perfect. I also got a pretzel bagel to go with a side of honey almond cream cheese. The saltiness of the bagel went well with the sweetness of the cream cheese. I appreciate that Einstein's is always finding new bagel sandwich choices, like pizza bagels, and a bagel wrap. It was good of the cashier to tell me I had rewards I could use. He explained my choices and I got the pretzel bagel and cream cheese for free. read more

I am a regular at this particular Einsteins. This location tends to be hit or miss. Today was definitely a miss. I generally order a simple bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. What I've noticed is that I always have to order "extra" cream cheese to even get a normal amount. Today for some reason, I tried to order just regular and what I got was a mere suggestion of cream cheese on my bagel. Most employees there act like new hires and probably are. Cashier today had no idea what to do with my rewards information after I actually used my phone to pay, Starbucks style. She still asked me for money. Vanilla Hazelnut is almost always empty at the coffee station, and today there was no half and half either. I did not take the first sip of coffee until I got home and the picture shows exactly what was waiting for me. So thanks for making me bust out the strainer to get a normal cup of coffee. read more

I haven't been to this location in a while period and now I remember why I have not come back. I went during a non busy time around 10:30 in the morning during the week there were four employees there and not one of them greeted me in the first eight minutes that I stood at the counter waiting for someone to acknowledge me. On top of that not one of those employees was in any hurry to take care of any of the customers that were waiting around . They all kind of hung out around talking and slowly putting together people's to go stuff. It was really disappointing that every time I go there the service is always so awful! read more

The store closes at 2 and went in at not even 1:40, a very sassy chunky young man with glasses said " we're closing in 20 minutes and I won't make you any sandwiches. He could have professionally/ politely tell me that unfortunately the kitchen closes at such time, so on and on ( which I've never seen a kitchen closes more than 20 minutes before closing time), instead he went all sassy! On Thursday morning, I went in to order some bagels and saw there was a bagel box that include multiple options, 6 bagels, muffins, egg bagel sandwiches and hash browns. I asked the cashier how long it would take to make that so she asked the girl working in the back. The girl seemed annoyed with my question and said it would take 15 minutes due to her being the only one back there. I was not in a rush so I was okay with that. I ordered the box. After about 10 minutes I saw that my box was almost ready and so tried to ask in I could choose the flavored bagels. There were more people working in the back now and so a nice gentlemen acknowledge me and said he could help me. So he asked me and starting getting my desired bagels. The girl who initially had told me it would take 15 minutes, saw what the guy was doing and called him out. She was pretty loud and asked him WHAT HE WAS DOING? He replied that he was helping me with my orders and she angrily told him he can't do that. He and I were both unaware and so I offered to pay extra for the bagels I wanted to select. The girl looked at me and then looked at her peer and just said, "WHATEVER" and stormed out to the back. In all honesty, if the girl would've told me that she could not do my request, I would've been fine with that. I don't even mind if she was a little rude to me. I'm in the service industry myself and have experience scenarios like this as well. But what I really was upset about was that she called out her peer in front of all customers because he was trying to help me. read more

I went to pick up a sandwich for lunch as I had a small amount of time between meetings. I specifically ordered a sandwich with NO TOMATOES and NO TOMATO Schmear. I saw it on the order form. When I got home I had both tomatoes and the tomato schmear on my sandwich. I tried calling and the option to speak to someone was in a loop that took me to the main menu. This is the only place to get a decent bagel near my house. Sure, the grocery stores sell some kind of round fluffy abominations that are labeled as bagels. If Wonder Bread made a bagel it would be like the things they try to pass off at the grocery store bakery. So I go to Einstein Brothers even though they are a giant chain (I think they might be owned by McDonald's or something) and I suck it up and get bagels there. But it makes me miss Brookline, MA. Or the east side of Cleveland. Or Bialy's Bagels, where people have lined up around the corner by 7 am on the weekend to get those complex-carb creations. But the bagels are passable if pricey, the schmears are ok and I don't get angry when I eat one like I do when I wind up with a grocery store fluffer thingy that is supposed to be a bagel. read more

We have had nothing but positive experiences at Einstein Bros. The team working there is friendly and patient, which is great because I can't ever make up my mind with their vast selection of bagels. Our latest visit was no different with two very nice ladies working the counter and appearing to genuinely care about their customers. I love this company, but you don't need to be Einstein to know this is a bad location. I live close and like to stock up on bagels when the company offers the Monday deal. Four times in a row, I have went in early only to find out they don't have enough bagels to fill an order. On two occasions they told me that they were in the oven and would be ready in 45 minutes??!!? Pro tip: go to the next closest location where they always have stock and be back in 25 minutes. This would be an acceptable reply if it happened once, but not every week. I won't be back again to this location. A bagel company that is out of anything other than bagels is acceptable... but you should always have BAGELS! In general I love and Einstein bagels and this location is usually pretty good but for some reason I'm having problems with the takeout orders being incorrectly filled and mismanaged I get home and the orders are wrong and things are missing it's very frustrating I called the store and they gave me a credit over the phone which I have yet to come in and access but if management is listening or watching and reading these comments please work on consistency and accuracy for takeout orders. DO NOT ORDER CURBSIDE I never leave bad reviews, unless it's really bad. I just hope it helps someone else save the trouble. I mobile ordered here a couple months ago and when I got home and opened the bag ALL 5 of my bagels were wrong. Whatever, we still ate them. Frustrating, but it happens. Today I hesitantly order curbside, I have two sleeping babies in the back seat. I get there a little early so I wait a little and then press the I'm here button. 10 minutes, nothing. It's busy so I give them the benefit of a doubt. I wait a couple more minutes and I call, no answer. I call again, nothing. I finally decided to go in, hoping my kids will be fine. They have two tables by their door, one that's for DoorDash one that is for pickup, no bags on the table. At this point I'm like "did I order from the wrong one"- but I didn't. I walk back in when the line goes down and I tell the girl "I'm here for a curbside" she goes to a table in the back of the store and there is my food. My cold food. I spent about 25-30 minutes waiting for my done food, that was never going to come out. Being a mom on the go, I love curbside because I can order food and not have to take my children inside. Especially when they are asleep! I'm just hoping from this review that 1. They can get this placed staffed enough... 2. That no other moms/dads like me don't go here specifically for curbside. And 3. I just wanted a quick bagel sandwich and that is exactly what I received! This Einstein's doesn't compare to the Scottsdale / Thomas location. The staff was nice, courteous and attempted to be helpful but it didn't help my tastebuds! I ordered a plain bagel with butter, a smoked applewood bacon/cheddar and an iced mocha. The bagels were super rubbery and the egg was smothered in too much pepper. The drink I ordered was wrong. No biggie, the lady turned the latte into a mocha by dumping half the chocolate syrup into the latte ;) I hope they step up their food prep skills as Einstein's has always been a great place to pop in for a quick breakfast. I don't know what's going on with this location. The staff is usually very rude and they never have enough bagels. If you ask the manager anything, she will respond with an attitude and a sneer. They never get my order right and I have walked out of there after being handed my bag on more than one occasion without my FULL order being fulfilled (missing pastries or a bagel missing). Had an incredibly positive experience at this Einstein Bros. Bagels this morning! The staff went out of their way to accommodate my request and called a sister store to help out (who were also incredibly accommodating!) Einstein has the best bagels in the valley, and the only bagel store that offers potato bagels/rolls. Their pumpkin bagel during the fall season is outstanding as well. The only thing that would make them better, is if they had one of their wonderful stores in my neighborhood!! Thanks again to the staff and management at the Alma School/Queen Creek location!! Sometimes Einsteins just hits the spot! For those that havent been to an Einsteins...You can have pretty much any flavor you want, with any type of spread. I like this location in particular as there are plenty of seats and tables if you decide to stay and eat.
