My favorite bagel place to stop at when I come in Houston. My favorite is the everything bagel with cream cheese.

I love this place. I'm so sad the one closer to me closed and I drive an hour just to eat here. Every time I go my food makes me so incredibly happy it's always perfect. The bacon egg and cheese with the hash-brown.... Chef kiss. The older gentleman who was at the register was so sweet and took care of us. The staff making the bagels all looked like they were having fun. I don't know why this place gets such bad reviews but I think it's a great establishment and I love it. Yes the layout is a little confusing ? They probably need signs above to say where to order or where to wait for the food and where to stand in line when it's busy. But honestly that doesn't deserve some of these people's one two stars. Please keep the place running there are so many loyal customers who can't get your great meals anywhere else! read more

Lisa was a doll! When I struggled to use the app she was very patient, kind and helpful. I have been coming to this location for a few years now and Lisa has always been the same helpful employee to not only me but everyone who comes in to order. The interior needs a lift in my option but other than that service was fast, and my food and coffee were good. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would but I guess it's not possible! Been to this location a few times. My most recent trip prompted my review. I'm not shocked to see other similar reviewers on here. Store layout already causes confusion. Placed my order with a cashier that wasn't helpful in a smooth ordering process. Clearly didn't want to be there or want to help. After placing my order the store traffic picked up. I watched order after order be delivered to the customers that came in behind me. About 5 orders placed after me came out before mine. Bagels were slightly burnt, but did taste alright. Coffee was a disaster. You can taste the burnt coffee and the amount of sweetener and creamer made it impossible to drink. Mixed up the sizes for the orders too. I would've been okay with a larger size but was smaller than ordered. Would've addressed these with the staff but staff was not approachable, friendly and clearly didn't care. Only eat here if you have to. read more

This location's staff was THEE best. As soon as we entered, they were warm and welcoming and even though we just placed a short to-go order, it's nice to come into an establishment and the employees genuinely enjoy being there. Love it. read more

Every time I come here they out of all the important bagels like PLAIN! considering plain is probably the most popular dont you think you should constantly be baking them? & then there don't be any other options available. This place always hits and all interaction with the staff has been positive. This is a usual stop for us on weekends! Word to wise for those complaining about wait times, if it's a weekend morning be prepared to wait 20-ish minutes for your bagel, because EVERYONE HAS THE SAME IDEA AS YOU! What do you do when the bagel is good but the customer service is absent? I love the Einstein Bagels at my work but they don't take gift cards. Received a card from a coworker and had to find the closest location since there are none in Sugar Land. Haven't been here in over a year and found 3 cashiers standing around talking. The usual crowd that used to be there was missing. Just one mom and her son eating and me and 3 cashiers who acted like I was bothering them by being there. I ordered the baker's dozen box and 2 smears. I don't know when they decided to start preboxing the bagels and leaving them on the counter to grab but I don't like it. I don't know how old those boxes are and I can't select what's in it. In the future I'll be sticking to my Einstein Bagels at work only. So, please don't gift any more gift cards . If it's like this at all locations I can see why the stand alone stores are closing. read more

I stopped coming to this locations 3 weeks ago due to an experience and waiting 45 minutes for one bagel. Today I decided to give a try again since my middle schooler loves it. So we arrive to pick up our order and there was a little mishap...went directly to the cashier and Ms. Kara (Cara) a handled it! I don't know if there was a change in management but I was very pleased with the service and the food was fresh! I know we as humans make mistakes so I will be back! This is the nasty Einstein Bros shop I've ever been to. I was the only customer and there were 5 employees just goofing off behind the counter. Meanwhile the floors and counters are stuck and just gross like they haven't been cleaned in months. The doors were also just as filthy. The owner of this location is wasting so much payroll for employees who just do t care. Don't come here I'm sure you will get sick. The health inspector needs to pay this location a visit. Updated: Don the manager called me back and while the in store issues remain, management is committed to making things right. I tried ordering on DoorDash and when the delivery driver made it to the store location my order was canceled and refunded with no explanation. I tried to reorder on the app but it was too late. At this location the consistency and inventory of bagel flavors are better than the other 2 locations inside the loop. This morning there was a rush and the line was about 10 deep until about 11 am. They changed the line structure where you don't order at one register and walk the line that has a poled structure to directed the line to then next register to pay. The space is small so there will always be a bottle neck near the door to pick up orders or to pay. Can win with the way the small space restaurant is designed. Parking was tight today but there was space in the back. Traffic is busy as Bissonnet is being rebar and the concrete is all dugged up. Service was nice but really slow. The cashier asked detailed questions one at a time. The other cashier was new and didn't ask the customer about spread. Had to do a 2nd order for butter holding up the line. I placed an order thru DoorDash. When I received it, I did not receive my coffee. The lox had no capers on it and the Chorizo egg sandwich was sub par. There was hardly any avocado on it. Not much jalapeño aioli. Didn't look like the picture at all. I tried calling the place several times but no one ever answered. I complained to DoorDash. This place sucks. The staff were mixing up orders left and right. They didnt even know what the specials for the day were. All they had to do was turn around and read. All of the creams were empty. My wife politely asked them to refill it and they went and refilled the coffee pots first, then he came back and handed her the creamer container. The tables were dirty. We were here at 10:30 am. I drove here in hopes of satisfying my pregnancy craving of a cranberry bagel with cream cheese, which ended up being discontinued last year. Ugh! The cashier suggested just a plain blueberry bagel, which I ended up requesting. Like other posters mentioned, the wait is a tad ridiculous. There were maybe five other customers in line with one ahead of me and it still took a significant amount of time until I received my order. Upon tasting my toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese, it tasted alright until I began tasting other flavors in it; specifically onion. The onion taste practically ruined my bagel cravings. Man, I really wish I could have read the reviews before stopping into this location. I love bagels, as a Houstonian there were times we used to frequent Einstein's on a Saturday morning and we'd sit and eat chewy, fresh bagels. I reflect fondly upon the days they would be brought home piping hot in a brown paper bag and you could just eat them plain they were so good. In the midst of moving I decided to stop here for some quick fuel. Well, everything was wrong. Asked for toasted, and my bagel was untoasted, cold, stale and the cream cheese tasted like they had used the same utensil to spread a fruit flavored cream cheese to then spread my plain. It was sweet! And gross! And it was also underneath some flavorless lox. Wow, pretty disappointing trip that ended up being the very last.
