Gmornin folks. So here we go already this morning... 3am wake up, turn in rental, hop shuttle to Airport, check in, navigate security and here I am.... Notice no mention of Bfast... due to hotel and its proximity to AP and the early hour, I was relegated to ONT finest... errr whatever was open at 0430.... ok, so Einstein Bros. Bagles... what could go wrong. Store, clean, bright, inviting and 8m all set for some food. The line is about a 15-min wait unless you are snooping and notice the self service Kiosks at the register... that's a dumb place to place them as the congestion doesnt make it easy to access and there are no signs... Also, anyone who has read a few of my reviews knows I refrain from doing other people's jobs lest I getting a discount for doing so.... I get ample time to formulate my order, rehearse in my head so i am clear for the server at the register. I notice that their POS system is having real issues with 5 of 6 folks. Damnit I get to the counter and i am greeted by a lady who just assumed the position 30-sec prior after relieving what i will assume is an off going staffer. Anyhew, I ask her for my rehearsed order as follows: "May I please have the single egg six cheese bacon and cheddar Bfast sandwich (it's how it's written on the menu) and an everything bagel toasted with butter and a schmear of onion and chive cream cheese.. " Server calls back to me my order in an effort to confirm correctness... "I have a Applewood smoked bacon egg and cheese sandwich and an everything bagle........." wrong. I tell her no, and I repeat my order as previous... "May I please have the single egg six cheese bacon and cheddar Bfast sandwich (it's how it's written on the menu) and an everything bagel toasted with butter and a schmear of onion and chive cream cheese.. " Server says yeah, it's called an Applewood smoked bacon egg and cheese sandwich... Me... "maam, I want that sandwich there" as I point to the pic on the menu... I read the name off the board to her and she again repeats her Applewood smoked bacon egg and cheese sandwich and I say "May I please have the single egg six cheese bacon and cheddar Bfast sandwich" irritated by the seemingly obvious misconception communication I pay, take my receipt and go to the holding area for incorrect order delivery. Oh yeah, the POS... faithful to its initials, it is a real POS and I dont mean point of service/sale.... Finally clear and now the wait... Food comes quickly and piping hot... I peer in the bag and see my everything baggle peering back and a foil wrapped packet which I assume is my "May I please have the single egg six cheese bacon and cheddar Bfast sandwich" I depart and head out of the shop for my gate to eat, relax and prep for boarding... I figure I'll save the everything for the flight later and eat the piping hot sammy in the foil packet.... you may recall it's a "single egg six cheese bacon and cheddar Bfast sandwich" ****WRONG**** I got the plain bagle, bacon and egg sandwich vice what I ordered... As I pondered taking it back I look to the 15 minute line and notice it's now likely a 20 min line as folks are lined up into the concourse now... the POS maching must really be acting up. Or the not so cordial/kind lady behind the counter is continuing to aggravate folks by changing their order... So, the good.... the plain bagle, bacon egg and cheese sammy wasn't horrible but damn... it wasn't what I paid for nor asked for. read more

I don't know how people can really be mad at quick airport food. What are you really expecting?? I got a veggie sandwich and a chai tea with almond milk. Both hit the spot. Thankful there are vegetarian options in the airport for those who don't always want to eat meat. I would pop by again. read more

Came by for a quick coffee before my morning flight in Terminal 4. I was a bit confused at first since there was no one at the register but plenty of people working behind the scenes. Decided to use the automated check out- it was really painless and easy! My coffee was piping hot and instant- much needed for a morning pick me up, and for airport travel, it's quick and easy. Coffee taste is otherwise standard. Not many other coffee vendors around, so this place is your best bet. Haven't tried the food, but the pictures look promising. read more

Yay! There's finally other choices to eat at Ontario International Airport Terminal 4 other than Carl's Jr. This is located just right of the security checkpoint. Einstein Bros Bagels has opened up and even at 4:45am, has a long line of people waiting to order or get their food. Their line goes almost out to the door, and there's not really too much space to maneouver around to wait for your food. I went for the nova lox and it was pretty good. It comes as two open faced sides so you can choose to eat one by one or just combine and make it a whole bagel. Cream cheese + onion + tomato + smoked salmon on your choice of bagel is my kind of jam! It filled me up, and for around $8, not bad. Smoked salmon was aplenty here. The workers at this time are still getting used to things, workers with the dishes, flow of pace, etc. Probably my go to if I do hit up Ontario Airport again. Bagels! read more

Super yummy new breakfast spot at the Ontario Airport! Where was this years ago?! I've been flying out of the Ontario Airport for over 10 years! The line was kinda long but it is the only decent breakfast place at the airport. Before this place the only other place customers would go was the Carl's Jr. The line was long but worth the wait. I had a ham and cheese sandwich bagel. The bagel sandwiches are cooked to order so I got a nice cheesy yummy sandwich. I also got a white mocha with soy. Was really surprised that they didn't charge me extra for soy. I will always come here now for my breakfast if I have an early flight out of the Ontario Airport. Really enjoyed that they had seasonal items such as pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bagels, and pumpkin spread as well. read more

I was so used to seeing Einstein's on the east coast and thought I'd never see it again after moving back to CA. The Mrs. and I were glad to see this place as we were waiting for our flight at ONT. I believe this place is new, as we didn't see it during our previous trip one month ago. We ordered the Nova Lox: fresh bagel, with tasty smoked salmon, cream cheese, and savory capers. The price was about $7.69. A little more on the expensive side, reasonable for an airport. The staff was friendly, with good customer service. And since this was a new place, our cashier was still being trained. The shop is conveniently located within ONT in front of gate 407. It's very close to the security checkpoint. read more

Not sure what to make of this location, its the only one opened to serve breakfast and coffee at 5am. Ordered a plane bagel with egg and cheese since everything is already pre made including their burritos! So it's one flat fried egg, with one slap of processed slice of somewhat cheesed over heated the rest is empty, with a few of $5.70!!! Horrible service, burned food, low inventory. Should have guessed by the fact they had almost no customers. The employees were standing around chatting and joking and didn't start making any orders for ten minutes after they were ordered. They got my simple order wrong (sesame bagel with cream cheese, they gave me a plain burned bagel with cream cheese) and they didn't have the item the person in front of me asked for. One even rolled her eyes at a customer. I should not have to wait 15 minutes for a toasted bagel with cream cheese when there is only one order before me, and a bagel place should know how to toast a bagel without burning it. Bummed they didn't have Starbucks in this terminal but these guys had caribou coffee and it was just as good in my opinion. Not too strong and def not watered down like some other places. Just straight up coffee. Also had their coffee cake and it was delicious. It's a little on the sweet side but it paired well with the black coffee. Had lunch at Einstein Bros. Bagels in the Ontario Airport before my flight, and it was really tasty. I had the turkey bacon and avocado on a sesame bagel. The sandwich was made to order and served fresh. My only complaint which is why I took away 1 star is because my bagel wasn't toasted. Now technically, I could've asked for it to be toasted, but silly me, I assumed it would be. Sadly when I got my sandwich, my bagel was cold. Convenient place for coffee and quick breakfast at Ontario International Airport. Einstein Bagel now has Daiya Cheese Schmear. The Coffee was decent. The Asiago Cheese Bagel with plain Daiya Cream Cheese schmear was actually quite good. Despite the moderately long line, we had the prepared toasted Bagel with the Daiya Cream Cheese perfectly prepared and in our hands within 5 minutes. Perfect if you're looking for something light, tasty, and fairly priced (for an airport)! I got the "tasty turkey" on a whole wheat tortilla and a medium strawberry banana smoothie for a total of $13. Unfortunately the smoothie was not so great. The ingredients weren't as fresh as I expected and left a very syrup-y aftertaste. Next time I'll get a frozen coffee instead!! Also, cashier wasn't very welcoming. Half the staff barely speaks English and the other half is just rude as well. None of them should be in customer service. Go to Starbucks before you get to airport or go to coffee shop in American terminal. This place is bad. Update: rude staff, got order wrong, no product to make a Carmel latte. Super slow services. I just ordered 2 bagels to go. One Lox and one farmhouse. Waited 15 minutes to get the bagels. I asked how long more on bagels. The staff did not call my name when they called the names of every customer. I even tipped them cash. The service was horrible and super slow. Even whern there was no customers placing new orders stull took them 5 more minutes to get to my order. This is a busy airport location in Ontario airport. If they cannot provide a bagel in less than 5 minutes, they should not be in the business. I do NOT recommend ordering from them ever again. It was a horrible service with long wait time. read more

Saturday morning.. they only had one regular coffee put out (a strong brew) and a decaf. When your bagel was ready they half-as$ed mumbled a name and walked away. 2 of the women behind the counter were busy standing there skyping with people on their phones instead of making bagels. There was no creamer out except skim milk and when we asked for half and half they replied all they had was whatever was out there. The only place inside Security at SAN Terminal 1 where you can get smoothie is at Einstein Bagels. Correction: the only place where smoothies are on the menu is at Einstein's. There is ONE choice on the menu: strawberry banana. Not my favorite, but I was a captive customer. After waiting in line for a few minutes I got the the front asked for a smoothie. The short overweight woman hiding behind a mask and glasses said "We don't have smoothies now." No apology, no explanation, just a curt dismissive attitude that said "order something else or go away." I used to patronize Einstein's regularly, but this just irritated me. I came here today to grab a sandwich and coffee, however after seeing what I saw, I will not be consuming what I just paid for. There are 2 employees working the counter. A male and female employee. The male is making the coffee drinks and working the register, while the female makes the sandwiches gets the bagels and also works the register. I have been here for about 15 minutes and have yet to witness either employee change their latex gloves ( only the female employee is wearing gloves)or wash their hands. Especially the female. She's handling food, money, and touching everything with the same pair of gloves on while touching everything (microwave, counter, register, currency) then she goes to grab a bagel, get some eggs, cheese, ham, bacon ect all while wearing the same gloves. Having this option in the early morning at the airport is just terrific icing on the bagel cake! ;) The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The place was quite clean and well organized. After only 2 hours sleep, I DESPERATELY needed coffee before my flight. EBB was like a mirage in the desert and I was happy to find it right next to my gate. Major Kudos to Yvonne who personally made my Americano (how is that not in the menu?) PERFECTLY and in record time with a smile on her face. Operationally management needs to look at the place and help out the 2 women trying to fulfill orders - perhaps add another person to the back line? This was my first time here. Probably wont try them again. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Tomato sand which. The bagel wasn't toasted (also not the best bagel I've ever had. The bacon was cold and barely cooked. The avocado has no salt and tasted a day or so old, and they were out of egg white. I also ordered a OJ which was packaged as if it were fresh squeezed. It wasn't. You could tell by the taste. $15 later I wished I'd waited, snacked on Southwest Pretzels and eaten at SMF airport. read more
