Monday special is now apparently only available if you download the app. No issues downloading and seetting the app. I had to fall back in line to put my order in. The other location too s usually had a separate are for justt ordering bagels. In this particular location you have to fall in line to place your order with the cashier and walk bacK to the front of the line to choose your bagels thEn pay for it. Upon placing my order and paying for it, I waited 5 mins for them to tell me they werre out of blueberry bagels. Mind you this was at 8 am in the morning. Cashier then proceeded to tell mme I had to wait another 10-15 mins. If I wanted blueberry bagels. Who has time in a Monday morning to wait 30 mins total for bagels? My husband and I love Einstein Bro's bagels for a quick breakfast spot especially when you are on the run. They have a lot of fresh bagel options and their double whipped "shmears" are tasty. We visited the Plano location today and it wasn't as quick and easy as we are accustomed to. They were a little unorganized with their service and our meals didn't even come out at the same time. By the time my husband and I finished our bagels/breakfast sandwiches we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for his broccoli and cheddar soup to come out. We still love Einstein Bagels but will not be returning to this location. read more

I love Einstein but this location is awful. It's staffed with hungover college guys that don't properly prep or plan for the days needs. It's filthy and ALWAYS out of whatever you order; bagels, coffee, fruit for smoothies, you name it, they are out of it. Today at 10:30 in the morning, they only had 3 total bagels left. Not sure what the plan is for the lunch crowd? The first couple of times, I chalked it up to unexpected busy mornings. But it's consistently lackluster. Horrible customer service. Not greeted when I walked in, even though I passed manager. Stood in front of employee for a min while she was on her phone. Did not even notice I was in front her. I was surprised the lox bagel was only 6.99, but that's because there's almost nothing on it. The onion wasn't even satisfactory. It was part of the skin that should have been peeled off and not the meat of the onion. Also, I'm sitting here trying to enjoy my meal, and there is an older couple (in there 80s maybe) shouting at each other. One is sitting at a table and the other is at the cash register. AWEFUL on Multi Levels. ! I thought I would give einsteins ONE MORE CHANCE after a similar bad experience at one of their other stores in the area. They failed this time too. Terrible Service, discourteous and acted as if they would rather be somewhere else. DON'T BE ON YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE TAKING AN ORDER FROM A PAYING CUSTOMER!!! Cashier rang up the wrong order at 3 times and tried to charge me differently each time! First time it was $11 and change for 2 bagels and a juice! I asked her to look in the bag and recalculate. How many times does she do that and not get caught. First she had the wrong persons order up, then she tried to charge for 4 bagels when i only had 2, Then she charged me for an egg thing when all i had were 2 bagels one with butter. Finally she got it correct so i thought, but only after i left the place did i notice she charged extra for cream cheese on one bagel when that bagel was PLAIN with NOTHING on it at all. ughhhh The bagel quality is crap. Doughy under cooked ( probably not boiled first) and just stuck in an over to bake. It is not anything like a NY bagel. I'M FROM NYC, I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE . This was crap. No Jewish person with any knowledge of traditional food would consider this a bagel . It was more like a doughnut with Garlic . I actually tossed it out to the squirrels at that park. I asked for extra butter on the second bagel. All i got was a slim thin spread of grease and barely seem much less tasted. And the kid took forever to prep that order.. Too much time on his cell phone! Its not the water. I go to another BAGEL store in Mckinney area that has bagels that are so close to a REAL NYC bagel that does a great job and their help is friendly and courteous. And they get the order correct. I will blast all over my social media to NEVER GO to an Einsteins again. DON'T WASTE your moneys.. If you want a good bagel place look elsewhere. This is Junk. Let me preface this with the Einstein Bros chain have excellent food, when accurate. If you're feeling particularly masochistic one morning, go to this location. They always have a long line and the employees stand around chatting with each other instead of helping take orders, make orders, complete the transaction, etc. Just when you think it's time to have your order taken, your "bagel bro" decides it's time to join in the conversation with his friends because he's feeling a little left out. Customers are an afterthought. Unless you live next door, make sure you check your order before you leave. I have been to this specific location many times and I would give them about a 70% accuracy rate. This is a terrible rate when you're ordering 2 bagels and nothing fancy or unique. I have a few minor nitpicks before I get to the big finale. First, while this isn't a huge deal, the soda machine is usually serving fairly flat and watered down soda. Any other place will serve a better soda. There are bottled juices which were not bottled by EBB so quality and consistency are solid. Lets talk prices, the prices on the bagels and drinks themselves are about what you'd expect. However, where on Earth do they get off charging 60 cents for your bagel to be buttered. I thought only hard drugs and caviar were sold by the gram. I was able to talk them into selling me a tub of their butter spread which they put into a container the size of the cream cheese tubs sold in store for get this....60 cents. I just don't understand this. Trash cans....you want us to use them right? Well make them available. They are usually hidden under wire tables, so you can SEE the trashcan, but you can't throw anything into it unless you want to physically grab the trashcan and pull it out far enough something can fit. I urge everyone to leave their trash on their tables, it'll give the employees motivation to earn their wadge and maybe, just maybe, tip off the management that the trash cans need to be in the open. This morning I had my last experience with this particular location. I waited through the usual painfully long line while the employees had their friendly chats with each other. Finally, I got to the register where a particularly enthusiastic looking employee was slumped over the register mustered up the energy and decided it would finally be my turn for the pleasure of him taking my order. Once my order was done, they called my name and I went up to the counter to pick it up, I asked to verify if the order was indeed mine as when the names are called out it was mumbled rather than clearly spoken (I wasn't the only customer looking around curiously after each name was called). The guy who handed me my order verified that it was indeed my order and confirmed what was supposed to be in the bag. Now this may be my fault for not opening the bag and digging out each bagel to check for myself...but I took their word that it was accurate and went home. I didn't notice they gave me the wrong order until I got home to eat it. This being far from the first time this particular location has screwed up my order I was quite frustrated especially since I had to make a 15 minute drive back through traffic to get back to the store. I walked into the store and for once there was no line...still nobody anxious to offer up their services as an employee (maybe due to shame). Finally got to talk to the manager after he was done making someone else's order because the 5-6 employees standing around couldn't be bothered. I let the manager know what happened and told him I wanted a refund. There was no rebuttal or refusal from the manager, he was willing to issue a refund without hesitation. The next bit caught me off guard. The manager accused me of taking the wrong order and leaving...despite having my name called, the verbal confirmation of the contents of the bag, etc.....MY FAULT. I will be making a call to the district management because of the manager's actions and hopefully that bit will get sorted out. My advice to anyone looking for a bagel, go to the Einstein Bros location off Legacy, or go to the store and buy a pack of Sarah Lee bagels. You'll have the good taste of bagel with none of the BS you get to deal with at EBB off 75 and 15th street. Never will they have the pleasure of taking my money again. We've been to several Einstein's in the area, and this location is on par with the rest. Decent bagels, decent coffee, very good sandwiches, and AWFUL WIFI. Honestly, at this and other locations, once you final get a security logon to gather your email and you're connected, the wifi is so slow you end up just killing the connection so you can do anything. This with fewer than a dozen people in the restaurant, so not heavy traffic. read more

I've had similar experiences to those listed here. Unfortunately, this is "my local bagel shop". I've prayed to God. I've prayed to Jehovah. I've prayed to Allah. No other shops have moved into the 'hood and there isn't any other breakfast pastry/muffin that beats a bagel (I don't care what you say). The bagels are really good. The service really sucks. I hardly ever do this but twice I've filled out customer complaints on-line, thru their web site. I'm thinking about going this morning for some punishment, only because It's been about 6 mos since my last bagel and my 'low bagel' light is on. I've had instances where, when I was checking out, the manager was so busy on his cell phone, I asked for three freezer bags and got one (and ignored till he finished his important call with The President). I also experienced where I ordered a dozen, sliced. They incorrectly fed the bagels into the machine, and when I got home I learned that every one of my bagels was sliced at a 45 degree angle. Nice. And as was pointed out, the place is usually dirty (I never eat there, only grab and go) but it says a lot about how the place is managed. It's too bad because as I said, the actual bagels are excellent. The prices are high, IMO, especially for add-on's like cream cheese spread, etc. If anybody knows which God I should pray to for results, PLEASE let me know. I used to come here often, but I hadn't been here in months. I won't be returning! Customer service all around was terrible. The cashier had the most negative attitude and mentioned several times what a horrible day it was. The other employees, including the manager, were just as bad. I paid for a fruit bowl but they were out. So they expected me to just leave it at that. I understand they were busy but the stem of the problem was their overall negative attitude. This has happened a number of times before. You go in and you wait on line and one person has some kind of a problem or an issue and everybody has to wait. This time it was a larger order for one person and there were two people behind the counter staring and not doing anything. There appeared to be no manager present and people that were waiting on line just walked out of the store rather than stand there and not be served. I spent five full minutes standing there waiting and people in front and behind me just walked out of the store while they were serving this one woman's take-out order. As an established business, they certainly should have some procedure in place to handle takeout orders and eat in orders at the same time. I will scratch this location off my list. read more

This used to be our favorite bagel place. We've been coming for years. Management recently (late last year) decided to change things. Things were different last time we were there. Regular people gone and 3 new temp people. We talked to the manager (she walked by and we asked what happened). In her opinion- too many people working, wasn't good for business. We told her that we were very happy with how things were and if nothings wrong, don't 'fix' it. We went again today, saw new people and decided to give another try. Service was a little slow and things are still not the same as before. We blame it more on management. Why change things when they were great to begin with??? We don't plan to come back unless it returns to the same previous awesome group of guys. Very friendly, polite, social, and they knew some of their customers very well. Some of them knew us by our little boy's name or from his milk he loved there. SUPER awesome group of employees. The new ones seem to be doing their best but it's just not the same. Apparently we have to tell corporate of our opinions because online it's not doing much good. And telling the manager is definitely no use. We don't like the Murphy location either. Been there one too many times and really don't like the service. Gotta find other places for bagels. Very sad. read more

I don't usually gush over where I stop for coffee but I wanted to note that Jackie, Cici and Thiago all did their best to help us with our order as well as our total experience while we were there. Love the new booths even though I prefer to sit on the chairs--new chairs, too, btw! As we left, Scott, Regional Mgr. appeared. Okay, so I enjoy Yelping about things I love and absolutely do not enjoy writing about bad experiences. That being said, I have to talk about this location of Einstein Bagels. I'm leaving two stars because I do love the bagels. What I do not love is the lack of customer service I have experienced at this location. On Monday morning at 11:45 am, I stopped in to take advantage of the 13 bagels for $7 special. My favorite bagels are the Asiago cheese. They had two. Two Asiago cheese bagels and about three other kinds. This is a BAGEL shop! I gave them the opportunity to tell me that the were making more. I pointed out the fact that lunch time was right around the corner. I don't even think they had thirteen total bagels! So, I got in my car and drove to COSTCO, yes Costco carries some flavors of Einstein bagels. I bought 12 Asiago cheese bagels for $5.99. So, Einstein Bagels, please quit e-mailing me and advertising specials that you can't (won't) honor. I'll pick up my order at Costco and skip the frustration, which is all I seem to be able to get at your location. read more

This was the worst service I have ever received from a food restaurant. I was rushed to place my order. The cashier kept repeating "I can help you over here, I can help you over here" Despite the fact that I told him twice I was looking at the menu. I ordered a medium coffee and they ended up charging me for a large, and THEN getting the drink wrong and it was cold. Then they also got my bagel order wrong. Horrible. Just horrible. Employees have such a bad attitude at this location. They forgot our fruit cup and got mad when we politely asked for it. In addition, the coffee was out. Asked politely, they didn't do anything. 15 min later asked again and the guy ignored me, sighed, and then went and got it off the coffee maker. My food was pretty good, but my wife's sucked. Went this morning. Filthy! Two big bags of trash on the floor next to the trash can, one filled with 100s of egg shells. Most tables were dirty, trash was overflowing out of the trashcans. Half of the bagels were sold out. I used to go through the drive thru here, but after seeing what the dining room was like, I will never go here again. My wife and I eat here every couple of weeks and last week was no different. The food is good and the service is dependent on the staff at the time. It's a training store, so your experience will depend on how much training the current staff has had. When we finished up we went to the parking lot and my car wouldn't start. The manager of the store; Nian, came out with jumper cables and spent over an hour trying to help us get my car started. He pulled his truck around and ran his engine for the whole time, using his gas to help us. When we couldn't start the car he even drove us to a nearby Sears to get help. I offered to pay him for his help, or at least to compensate for the gas he burned, but he refused. This guy was awesome. In my opinion you can get breakfast at a lot of places, but a store manager with this level of commitment to his customers is very hard to find. read more
