Tacos are $1 each. Comes with onions, cilantro and hot sauce. It's packed with lots of flavor and they do not skimp on the meats. The layout of this place is interesting as they serve all their food out of a truck. There's a bunch of tables and benches for you to sit and eat your food, and then you see a little shop that serves juices and paletas. It's all one business. I came here around 6PM-ish on a weekday for some tacos. There were no wait. I was able to order, get my food to-go, and out of there within 15 minutes. Awesome! From the Chevron station to the lot diagonally across from the car wash to renting a spot in the car wash to buying the whole lot and converting the car wash into another food stand. This little truck has come a long way and I'm glad I lived only a couple of blocks away from all their locations. This is the essence of a true taco truck. Not to take anything away from the gourmet trucks around because I love a lot of them, but I really can't say enough about how much I love just plain old Mexican taco trucks and how I really just hold this truck levels above the rest. I can truthfully say that I would not try seafood at too many food trucks and I was very hesitant to try it here as well but now I am a true believer that the Ceviche/Mixta Tostadas/Coctels are some of the best I've tasted, even in sit down establishments. Topped with avocado slices and served with little Tapatio packets, these little dishes are damn good. Lengua/Cabeza benchmark test - I love both of them here. The lengua is tender and not overcooked. The cabeza is fall apart but not too sloppy. I usually get one of these on a taco, torta, or burrito. The tacos are a good street size and not enormous but that's how I like them. They come with salsa, cilantro, onions, and lime. Good and cheap. The burritos are monsters but not ridiculous sized. Stuffed full of meat, beans, rices, cilantro, onions, and salsa. Make sure to get a lot of napkins because it'll leak on you. Tortas are good. The bolillos are not bad but the filling more than makes up for it. Avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, cilantro, onions, and salsa. Not huge and not expensive. Always ask for extra salsa and for the cebolla/jalapenos. Good stuff. The joint they opened out of the car wash served Agua Frescas, Ice Cream, Fruits, Chicharrones, etc. Very tasty items if you're not in the mood for the savory stuff. They also have a couple of TVs in the corners so you can sit down and eat and watch some tube. There's plenty of seating but the parking is limited. The house next door let their driveway open up for the patrons so I wonder if the owners are landlords of the car wash lot. There is also street parking. The hours are late so it always seems crowded here. I've seen security guards here but I haven't seen any problems here before. Come on down if you like taco trucks. A wonderful find. First time i had lunch here was for their Botanas Mariscos (which is basically a seafood ceviche). Absolutely delicious and addicting--Imitation crab, cucumbers, avocados, shrimp, fish, squid, tomatoes, cilantro, red onions, lime. Comes with tostadas and packets of tapatio sauce. One negative thing is that if you spill some of the juice on your fingers, it doesn't smell too hot.. kinda fishy... Today, i got my Botanas mariscos and 4 Asada tacos and lemme tell you.. THIS place makes a KICK BUTT Taco that i'd have to say hands down is the best taco i've ever had. Flavors are phenomenally empowering. The beef had a nice peppery asada flavor topped with a smoked salsa made with tomatillos and tomatoes with just the right amount of spice to it--not too spicy that it gives you heart burn but not too mild that you want a lil more kick to it. Comes with my fave sides of the pickled carrots,radishes, a jalapeno. tacos are 90 cents each. The botana marisco is $9.00, but can feed probably 2-3 people. Aside from these, this place serves tortas, burritos and a wide selection of tostadas. Oh, and i left out a very important detail... Not a place to take a first time date.. This place is actually a silver taco/seafood truck.. but not like the typical ones. Its parked on a big lot that serves a bunch of drinks, desserts and juices, with a covered outdoor patio seating area, ALSO part of El Antojito. It's cash only, but this place is pretty advanced in that you actually get a printed reciept for your order and they have a large speaker system that announces that your order is ready. .. i know i'll definitely be back here for their tacos.. :) you want a good true hole in the wall. this is it. :D read more

Five stars, because I love the desserts. I've been here only a handful of times, but now that my boyfriend and sister love it, I'm sure I will return. The first time that I ever came here, it looked a little seedy...but several years later, it sure has changed--looks quite nice even. Some of the customers are obnoxious--like they'll stand at the front of the line and only then will they decided to ask their five-year old child what he wants (and of course he doesn't know). The staff is all very friendly, except if/and when something goes wrong--it's like they don't know how to handle an obstacle, anyway. I had the torta cubana the first time, because I don't dig tacos. I really liked it, but it was so greasy that I could feel my heart begin to ache. Good stuff--and you know how I feel about good quality meat, a necessary! Anyway, I've also had the fresas con crema here, very good. I like the horchata, but I generally prefer milk-based horchata. I also really like their fresa drink--yum, and at 2.50 for a large tank of drink, I think it's well worth it...or is it 2.25? uhum... My boyfriend LOVES their tacos, he automatically named them his favorite. I had some de asada today, and I can now say that I love tacos--and I never loved tacos...like I would actually crave this stuff! I'm glad that they don't have that nasty onion stench like most tacos that you get off a truck, ugh...disgusting! I love their sauce, and they do drench the taco in it, but I like it! I also had the chorizo and al pastor ones, and those are good too--though the asada remained my favorite, and I don't even like asada. The agua de sandia is really good too, actual sandia. I kind of want to go here again now that I am reviewing it :( Everything is very fresh and well-prepared...good quality stuff--it's like Mexico, novela style. What brought them up to a 5 with me is the dessert, yes... I walked into the store with the pre-packaged drinks just because. Holymuckfuckingjesus! It smelled delicious...like dulce de leche and flan, oh my god YUM. Heaveeen. My boyfriend had the frozen banana with chocolate and sprinkles--you can also get it with coco--and you have to ask for it because they make it right away. This is significant because it means the thing doesn't just taste like Frozen. Nope, they pull out the banano and then put the chocolate and topping on it--I loved it, and it isn't usually my type of thing...perfect! My sister had the paleta de fresa (pink one), and it was quite good--good size too. $1.75, good price for well-made stuff that isn't trash. And now let me tell you that these dang things just looked SO pretty. I'll have to buy them in bulk for my girlfriend's bridal shower. I mean seriously, they look like a freaking tea party. Anyway, we'll have to try all of the flavors. I had the flan, about 2-something...it was perfectly yummy and tasty but I'm not sure if it was mind-blowing. Still, I wanted more :) And the ice cream looked heavenly...so thick and delicious, not like this American shit--I'd say it looks right up there with gelatto, will try! First time visiting the "El Antojito" taco truck, and I gotta admit...it was sofa king worth it. I got a Carne Asada Taco ($1.00) and a Torta de Asada ($3.50), because I heard those were awesome there. You guys are "right on the money". The carne asada and the hot sauce they use are a great combination. It's packed with taste and it also contained just the right amount of salt. The bolillo bread they use for the torta had a hint of sweetness; it's irresistibly delicious. I usually order my torta without beans and mayo, but got it on mine anyways. Torta has avocado in it as well...AWESOME. I would definately suggest trying both if it's your first time here! I think next time, I'm gonna splurge on just getting 4 different tacos instead. This place is the BEE'S-KNEES for Strawberry Agua Fresca!!! YOU MUST TRY THEIR STRAWBERRY FLAVOR.... OMG. I originally came to this place for their tacos and ceviche, but I was quickly swayed into purchasing some Aguas Frescas after speaking to a few of the regulars. And I'm so glad I did! This place rocks, they converted what looks like an old self-wash carwash into a Taco spot. There's plenty of parking, but sometimes, all the spots are taken. Something that threw me off at first was the fact that the ice cream and aguas frescas were located inside while the food was cooked in the Taco truck... but hey, it works. Thumps up for providing seating and huge bottles of hot sauce. first off, the tacos: Carnes Asada, Pollo Asada, Al Pastor, and Carnitas were good , but I've definitely had much better at some other spots. Secondly, I had their Torta Cubano, but I didn't feel it met with the expectations I had for it based on other people's reviews. It wasn't memorable nor was it well-made. I probably won't order it again. Thirdly, their ceviche was pretty good. I am a huge fan of ceviche, but very new to the versions made mostly with octopus. At first, because of the amount of octopus involved, I was a bit turned off to finish my order. It's not that I'm not a fan of octopus, but in my ceviche there was mostly octopus and less of anything else. Personally, shrimp and white fish ceviches are my favorite, so this was just something I wasn't used to yet. In the end after finishing the whole meal, I thought the ceviche brough in a good element of fresh mariscos to the whole meal. Finally, the Strawberry Agua "freakin" Fresca was SOOOO GOOD. I really don't know what to say after that.... GET IT! My first time and my last time. The taco truck tacos are very good and the cost is affordable. Tacos are only $1. The employees who work at the taco truck were great. Professional, fast, friendly service. So, why the 1 star review. Well, after I ordered my tacos, my family and I walked over to try some of the frescoes. My boys love these fresh natural fruit drinks. I placed our ordered, let me stop. . . rewind. . .background first. Everyone here speaks Spanish which is understood, however, I'm a woman of color and have minimal Spanish speaking skills. Placing the order was a challenge until I pointed and the woman behind the counter nodded. We had come to a verbal communication. I paid and waited for our drinks. By that time the tacos were ready. I figured a few minutes and the frescoes should be ready. The fruit drinks are already in containers, fill ladle, pour into cup, pop a lid on top, call my #. Not rocket science to do that. It didn't go that smoothly. People who ordered after us received their drinks before us. When I inquired about our drinks the lady shook her hand and said not yet. I may be impatient but 15 minutes for frescoes is a bit absurd. Now I feel like the issue is the color of my skin. I could be wrong BUT no other ethnicity was present. All other customers were served before me and when I inquired you nod and say not yet. Now, I'm angry. I approach a different employee who quickly rectified the matter and filled my order. No apologize. No thank you or come again. Just a mean look as if I had inconvenience them by asking for my drinks that I've already paid for and waited a freaking 20 minutes to get. My oldest son, who is 9 ask me, mom, "Did they make us wait that long because we are black?". As a mother, I had to carefully consider my response. I'm not sure why we received the poor service that we did. I don't want to use the race card but than again I felt discriminated against.The tacos are good. Price is great. Frescoes were tasty as well. I paid my money just like the other customers. I should receive the same level of prompt and courteous customer service. I will not be returning or recommend for others to try. Food for Thought: Customers who are black, yellow, green, or purple are the reason establishments stay in business. Was recommended by wife's friend so thought we give it a try. We ordered tripas, asado tacos and tort de asada. When we got our food, we checked to see if we got everything we ordered, but they got the order wrong and gave us a asada burrito. That's fine, everyone can make a mistake, so I told them I got the wrong order and I could tell from their face expression that they were annoyed by me telling them they got the order wrong. In short, we returned the burrito and got the torta (which was the correct order) and when we got home and open the wrap. The whole inside of part of the buns were charred black. I mean not just slightly toasted, but totally burnt black. We just threw it out without even tasting it. As for the tacos, not sure why her friend thought it was the best tacos they ever tasted, but it's just all right. Oh man, this is the best! The food quality is so good for the prices. I went one day to check it out and had a torta cubana for $5 and it was perfect. Perfect size, portions and it was just too good to describe. Straight to the point and hit the spot! I went another day just to confirm it was no fluke and had a tostada mixta and a burrito de barbacoa and agua de sandia (watermelon juice water). It was confirmed. I LOVE that they use traditional-style boiled beans instead of refried beans.... it really makes all the difference in the world. They have SOLID tostadas de ceviche and cocteles de camaron. (shrimp cocktails) There is a covered seating area adjacent in the lot, with a small storefront specializing in fruit smoothies and fruit cocktails. Love this spot!! Everything is delicious and servings are filling. I've had pretty much everything, but recently I had their tostada mixta without the octopus and it really hit the spot. The spot on Figueroa gave me two shrimps, no lie. But this location served me a good serving! I got the corn in the cup with butter and cheese and it was really watery, so I'm not sure what to say next time I want one.. Never thought I'd ever eat out of a food truck but El Antojito makes the world's best tacos!! Most amazing Mexican food, hands down! The ceviche, tacos, quesadilla de carne asada, anything you can thinking of, including Fresas con Crema, fresh food, fruit drinks and deserts. The food is low priced, the people in the truck always cook very clean and fast. I've never waited over 15 minutes for a plate. I love that this truck is open very late so I could always come late at night for a midnight snack. I wouldn't go to any other food truck but ONLY this one here. Now, I don't call myself a "native" of San Diego, but after having a variety of Mexican food and living in San Diego for the last four years, I feel that I can be a quite a good judge of character (or, in this case, tastebuds) at this point. I still have yet to try a whole lot of food trucks, but this place is crowded from fans! The tacos and burritos are amazing here!! My favorite is the carne asada burrito! The tortilla is super soft, and the burrito itself is filled with meat, onions, beans, and El Antojito's special sauce. This sauce is the make it or break it and the reason why it's so good! It has this kick, but is not too thick either. The sauce is in all the dishes, and blends so well with the meat as it makes the meat have this almost smoky taste. Yum!! The cabeza meat is very tender as well!! Prices are stellar here!! $4.50 for a buritto, and $1 for a taco...can't beat that! They did raise prices (it was a little cheaper before), but I still call this fair game even now! The workers are super friendly here as there's a whole lot of regulars! I suggest you call in advance to avoid the wait! You even skip the whole entire line, and just pay, grab, and go! Parking is super tight here, so do be wary! This is THE best taco truck I've ever had the pleasure of eating at...and trust me when I say, growing up in LA that is saying a lot because taco trucks are a dime a dozen out here in Cali! First of all, you can't beat $1 tacos...simple as that, and just because they're $1 does not mean El Antojito cheaps out on 'em, no sir! They are a good size taco with the works. I personally love carne asada and I get them with everything on it, and by everything they throw on the salsa along with pickled lettuce and onions and I get the jalepeno and grilled onions on the side, pure BLISS!!!! And if you stumble upon this little gem on a late Saturday night after some hard partying and drinking (which I have done on occasion) I would recommend the Torta Cubana! This thing is pretty huge (that's what she said) and it comes with an onslaught of 3 types of pork! Its messy, greasy, yet delicious and even has some queso fresco in it as well, YUM! My mouth is watering just writing about their food. The other great thing about this place is they also have this little builiding on the property that sell some good, authentic Mexican drinks and fruit. If you are into cheap good food, this is the place! I once got two asada tacos and a beverage for $6, and another time their seviche tostadas with a beverage for $4. If you get their at the right time (i.e. before or after a busy lunch hour), your order will be fast. Once you're done with your meal, you can head over into the store and get agua frescas or ice cream. Their paletas of agua fresacas are about $1.50 and their milk based ones are $2. Hands down - the best tacos & shrimp ceviche tostada I've ever had. My coworkers and I came here for lunch per another coworker's recommendation. It's on the corner of 168th & S Figueroa with parking no matter where you enter. There's what appears to be a food truck where you order food (tacos, burritos, tortas, tostadas, etc), but I was told that the truck is permanently parked at that location. Once you order, you wait by the truck to pick up based on your number (they need a little work on enunciating better or a clearer projection system). The dining area is covered & fairly cleaner especially considering there are pigeons all over the place waiting for food to be left unattended. Surrounding the tables, there are more vendors selling ice cream, popsicles, fruits, & drinks. The food was fresh, tasty, and had just the right amount of heat to clear up my nose but not need a soda or dessert. I ordered the asada & al pastor tacos (preferred the pastor) with everything on it (lettuce, salsa). The plate includes carrots, onions, lime, & a grilled pepper. Since the salsa already had some heat, I didn't eat the pepper nor add hot sauce. The shrimp ceviche tostada was the perfect complement to the tacos as it was acidic & super fresh. You're given 2 pieces of the tostada under the ceviche & a lime. This is perfect for picking up ceviche pieces that fall after each bite. I came here because it was the only one that was open after I got out of work, it took me a while to get here on the freeway. Honestly my first thought was that this place just didn't look very sanitizing or clean and didn't look like their food and fruit is fresh but I was really craving fruta con crema so I gave it a try. When I got it, it just smelled old and tasted weird, it didn't even look good. It was so lumpy and mushy. I was really disappointed I came all the way over here and wasted my money on this, it was so nasty i threw it away and didn't want to get anything else and left. im so happy to have this place 5 minutes away from my house! the food here is authentic and so delicious! the prices here are such a DEAL! tacos are $1 with lots of meat and flavor. seafood tostadas are under $4 and they pack it with ingredients! they are not greedy here! everything is fairly priced. the only downside is the parking. you have to park on the streets. a lot of people come here to dine but a lot of people take out! they also have mexican ice cream which is soo good! they literally have a lot of variety of the menu. i can't wait to go back for more! check out my amazing photos! it's so mouth watering! also follow them on instagram they will repost all your pictures and shout you out! @elantojito read more

YUMMMY! 3 of us hit up this trendy, oober posh spot in Gardena called El Antojito. hahahah, kidding Its as ghetto as Gardena gets but really is sooo delish! We gobbled up a dozen oysters and 3 large Cocktels for under $40. Thanks BFF...what a TREAT! read more

Quite a gem in Gardena. This is as authentic as it gets in the South Bay. Tacos are $1 with a big selection of meats, different types of tostadas, burritos, tortas, and quesadilla. You can also pick up fruit ice cream and popsicles, fruit drinks, Mexican snacks, and corn here!! All the tacos were packed with meat. I've had barbacoa, al pastor, asada, carnitas. They were all good and offered different flavors depending on what you prefer. They also served it with delicious grilled whole onion and carrots. The Cubana Torta was packed with everything and definitely tasty. I can't say that it is the best torta but it is still decent and good. I've had two different ceviche tostadas: a shrimp and a fish. They were both good and light. I do prefer the fish. I could see they they use at least two different kinds of fish but not sure what they are. Fresh fruit drinks with pieces of fruit. The pineapple was good! So was the watermelon. Definitely nice for a warm (or hot) summer day. But I must say, the HORCHATA was so YUMMY here. It's nice and creamy with the right amount of cinnamon! Please do get that! I also tried the fruit popsicles, the Strawberry was decent but I liked the Coconut more. This will definitely be my go-to-spot for Tacos! read more

The good: Great tasting street style tacos, with many varieties to choose from. They also have a nice drink set up where you can get your choice of aguas frescas in just about any flavor you can think of...my favorite is horchata. read more

Price, quantity, quality... can't beat it. I'm originally from LA so I'm used to have trucks galore on every other corner... but Antojito... is a shocker. Mariscos, tostadas, quesadillas, burritos, and tacos. Don't forget to get some handmade ice cream while you're there. I can never go to an overpriced ice cream shop after having theirs. read more
