I've been going to this place for a few years now but I think it's time that comes to an end. For one, the prices have nearly doubled and I was willing to accept that because it is my favorite burrito I've ever had. Yes, I like the food. I would give the burrito 5 stars if price wasn't part of the rating. However, my last trip rubbed me the wrong way to a point that I will not return. I went up, one person was waiting for their food. I placed my order for a Chico California Burrito. $11.00 that use to be $8.00. I am standing just off to the side waiting for my order. FOUR separate other people come and place their orders. I am standing right there listening to them place the orders. I say this, because I am positive they were not phoned in. Why would ALL OF THEM get their orders before me? I said something and all she would say is it's coming next. I've seen another review that mention the same problem, and, like the other reviewer, it appears the only common denominator was that I was not Mexican. I am normally not one to think that way, but, it appears that may be the case. I hope that is not true, but from what I have to go off of, it is. It will be interesting to see if others start saying the same thing. (my wait was nearly 30 minutes while watching others come and go with their food.) read more

Great food truck! I've seen them outside HEB for years. Every time I see them? I have dinner or plans. Every time I want to see them? Nope! But THIS time, I specifically looked for them and finally hit paydirt. And it was WORTH it. This is what I would consider more of a California brand of Mexican food truck fare (think more vegetables and less queso), and it was awesome in that category. Fresh, tasty ingredients, salsa with a nice kick and pretty huge portions. I eagerly await the next time I see them without food in my belly. It won't stay that way for long! read more

This food truck was catered to my work. We only had the option of asada, pork, and chicken tacos. Normally this truck has other things you can order but our management paid for only tacos and they were only serving from 12-3, which was awesome FYI! This is a good option if you want to cater to your company with out having to deal with the after math of a mess. I always see long lines of people outside of this truck and I love taquitos. I stopped by and ordered the chicken taquitos and a Mexican Coke, right away I was disappointed that they do not carry queso fresco (it's the only way‍), instead they offered Monterrey Jack, no thank you. I was still excited to try the chicken taquitos, I waited only a few minutes and they were ready, which is odd because chicken takes so long to cook. I went to pick up my plate and they told me to grab my coke out of the ice chest, which had no ice in it just barely cool water. I sat down in my car to eat, since they offer no seating, and the chicken was obviously reheated, and not very well! The corn tortillas were not hot, and they gave me lemons instead of limes!!! Also, my coke was warm. Major fail. Will not return. We have way too many awesome taquito trucks in this neighborhood for y'all to be waiting in line for this flavorless, bland, reheated taquito plate that is very expensive, in my opinion, if they aren't even cooking to order. I use to come here once in awhile but tonight is the day we never come back. We ordered and got our food 5 customers after us. We had left the truck for literally 2 minutes, We didn't order a lot, they are racist with HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They only give you speedy service if you look Mexican. The lady watched us standing there after i said i paid already and what i ordered, the manager guy did not even take it upon himself to tell the other workers to give us what we ordered when its done. They don't care. And they are damn rude. Ive been to many taco trucks in SA and as well as in New York. It doesn't matter, no excuse for bad customer service or making other peoples food first. You make the food according to who ordered first. And if not, the workers should definitely not be making food for their damn selves and eating it while my order isnt even out yet. read more

The hubs and I came across this taco truck since our usual doesn't operate on Thursday night's, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a chorizo torta and my husband got a carnitas burrito. While both looked tasty, it left little to be desired that we didnt finish our food. My torta was more bread and fillings with very little chorizo. Also, I always expect chorizo to be orange with that signature grease dripping down my hand...it didn't have that at all. It was more like flavorless brown meat. My husband's carnitas burrito too was lacking in flavor. Customer service wasn't very friendly either. I don't plan making a stip back here at this location anytime soon. read more

Wonderful food that was made quickly and fresh. Their portions are smaller but the prices reflect that as well. I had the 4 mini asada tacos. The meat was very flavorful and well textured. I enjoyed the larger chunks of onions on the taco and the tortillas we well cooked. The green salsa verde was amazing. Had a nice kick to it but was creamy and delicious. Went here a while back with my daughter. It was late a night picked up some tacos and didn't have enough cash for a drink. I was short about .50 cents. I didn't want to stop at the gas station or HEB to get one, I was exhausted. I clearly said I didn't have enough and was short .50 cents. They didn't suggest, to leave as is. Needless to say, I only bought the tacos and left. I've never gone back. That alone left a bad impression. According to my daughter the tacos were nothing out of the ordinary. A suggestion to them: " you win some, you lose some." Next time, offer you may win a customer and not lose one. It's all about customer service and marketing. read more

If you don't call ahead you might have to wait about 20min as they are always busy. The current number is 210-863-4127. This is a legit California style taco truck! The grande carne asada California burrito is amazing! The carne asada is perfectly seasoned and they use good white Mexican cheese! The tortas are also delicious, the bread is nice and soft and the torta is loaded with delicious ingredients like beans, cheese and avocado. The only negative is they are in the parking lot of Heb and they don't have any place to sit. read more
