I moved to Corona a few years ago and watched El Cerrito Cafe grow from nothing to a booming little restaurant. I watched as the reviews mounted and the rating stayed impressively high. As such, I finally decided to try it and was very impressed. Since it is take-our only my fiancé and I got the chilaquiles and the Mexican breakfast and both were fantastic. Killin' it Great breakfast El Cerrito Cafe got the goods. We have been eating at Corona Airport Cafe for years. When they split, we weren't sure... No doubt left. This is where you eat. The food is bomb. The prices are a good deal. They have some 'limited time specials' right now that are seriously killer prices. Great time to try something different w/o over paying to do so. Inside in nice and clean. Wait staff is super cool. Much better service here. They are keeping up on tables without making you feel rushed. Great turn times and happy customers to the left and right. I wish I could give ZERO stars. I went on 8/22/24 Thursday around 10:40 first time visiting this place I live around the area and been wanting to try it for the longest time. Well I regret it. It's a small place mostly all tables were taken by small parties there was a particular big party that was very annoying and loud with their gossip. I understand ppl gather to spend quality time but this place seems to be the perfect place to go and gossip while waiting for our food another small party got there same thing just gossip about their friendships like it's okay to gossip but ppl dnt want to hear others problems. Also the waitress Jasmine I think that was her name , had the WORST customer service she looked mad like if she was making us a favor took her sweet time to bring us our drinks never asked if we wanted more coffee, until my husband asked if we could get more coffee. i asked for a an extra plate to share w my toddler. when she brought it she almost trow it at me. her attitude sucks as a waitress. Sunday, 13 Mar: It's mind blowing that the table next to mine got their menudo within 5 min of ordering however, I had to wait approximately 45 min for mine to arrive. Waitress, the one with pigtails, didn't bother checking up on our table throughout our stay, nor did she even follow up with me on the menudo. My wife and brother in law were finishing up their chilaquiles dish when she had the audacity to drop off the menudo. She looked at me like I was as crazy when I told her I didn't want it anymore. To the manager/owner: Strongly recommend retrain your staff in the basic principles of customer service 101. 1. Have your waitresses follow up with your customers, especially when they're running late on a dish. 2. Don't just drop off the bill on the table and walk away (doing this makes the customer feel like you want them to leave). "Is there anything else I can get for you? How was the meal?" Anything but not saying anything at all goes a long way. 3. To be honest, the experience wouldn't have been as bad had she followed up with me and had a descent attitude. Training your staff is half the battle, the other half is the delivery of food in a timely manner **not 45 min for menudo** Leadership, it's up to you to take my review into consideration in order to implement some changes for the better. I agree this place is a hidden gem! Good quality and value. This isn't a white table cloth, fancy place at all, but it has charm, small town, old diner feel, rustic Lots of great options. I ordered the chilaquiles with green pork sauce and it was great. The chips weren't soggy and the house potatoes were good! Giant plate like $9. My husband got a giant burrito that feeds 3!! They also have classics like pancakes and eggs, all for good price. Coffee was good, I had tea. The waitress was also very friendly, and checked in on us just enough. We've lived in TV for about a year, we are sad we hadn't tried this place before. Give it a chance, it might surprise you with good value and flavor! We are definitely coming back!! Decided to check this place out since it already had great reviews while I was in Corona. I was welcomed by the lovely waitress and the cook it's a small setting restaurant no too big but very cozy. We decided to order huevos rancheros and Chilaquiles they where delicious would definitely come here again if I'm in town and craving Mexican authentic breakfast plate. We live in Old Town Corona & have had the honor of visiting this side of our town due to playing Little League & our boys umpiring at the Corona National field. These last few months though we have begun to explore beyond the baseball field. On our latest jaunt we dined at El Cerrito Cafe & were very pleased. The ambience, cleanliness, hospitality & food spoke volumes. Truly reminded me of being raised in a small town & enjoying the local diner. Our food & beers hit the spot. The red sauce & cheese enchilada's were the best around. The attentiveness of the staff & their promptness did not go unnoticed. An amazing selection of dishes on the menu will have us coming back for more & we will be recommending this cafe to friends. The cost of food was reasonable & competitive as well. Unexpectedly found this place while getting a flat tire fixed nearby. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was friendly and quick. The inside is exactly what you would expect from a roadside Mexican/American diner - nostalgic, quaint, and homey at the same time. Our server Nayeli was very sweet. I ordered the chicken fajitas and it came with a lot of chicken, sizzling onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. The flour tortillas were fresh and hot. It came with rice and beans and house salsa, and I ordered a side of pico de gallo, which was fresh with lots of jalapeño. Everything was delicious (definitely would order again), but their homestyle potatoes were the best! We ordered a side of this and it was huge and seasoned perfectly. Yum! I had the Country fried steak and home style potatoes. Substituted the toast with pancakes and a side of polish sausage. The server was attentive and nice and the food was delicious.
