DID NOT EAT ... simply went to have cocktails and experience a new place .. Cocktails were good , went early so crowd was nice , I do however think they did a brilliant layout with the place .. small taco place next to the main venue .. main venue was nice w /small bar when entering & small dining area and a Dj with perfect lounge music . However, the surprise here is the BIG club in the back that's off the charts ... reminds me of a few places in LA with an old mexican lounge feel. Nice big leather seating booths, stage area & a nice big bar ..The place looked great. I'd say if they know what they are doing and tackle the right audience this will be a great place to party and have fun at ... seen a lot of bouncers so I hope they live up to the hipe. Greeted by the wonderful ladies at the counter. At first we were going for the churros but decided to try the tacos and was amazed to find the vegan chorizo tacos!!! So amazing and enough flavor. The Michelada was on point with enough flavor (it's hard to find a good Michelada). We met the Manager and she gave us some frozen sangria to try!! Amazing amazing! Very nice place with amazing decoration. Very fun and stylish. Food is also good and well prepared. I do recommend the quesadilla, my opinion is better than the tacos. Corona was ice cold when served - thumbs up for that. Their hottest salsa was mild, I'd recommend them to get some more powerful ones. It is worth a visit read more

SUS RESTAURANT DO NOT GO HERE!!! - first off, my friend had to argue with the staff because they gave us one taco when the menu specifies TWO. rude server finally gave us what we ordered and not surprising - food was underwhelming at MOST. tacos weren't impressive, extremely overpriced for the quality and they messed up our order. gave us pork instead of fish. our friend who can only eat fish bc she's allergic to meat couldn't even eat. very disappointed in the food, the service, and the overall professionalism. You have great food and a great atmosphere But I just want you all to know, that as a frequent customer, I am really disappointed that you are including gratuity automatically on your checks and without telling people. There are no signs, no communication from the staff, nothing. AND THEN You are producing receipts with the term "optional gratuity" on the tip line, and are basically scamming/tricking people into double tipping. This at a place where you order from a counter. Such a unique ambiance: original, casual and delicious food! A must in Miami. My favorite was the shirt rib tacos and the carne asada quesadilla (but truthfully all the tacos were high quality, savory & fresh)!! It was an incredible experience and the service was amazing (very quick and friendly), my whole family loved it and we got to take a lot of fun pics too :-) trust me, I've gone to many Mexican resultants in miami and in other cities, I'm a foodie. I ordered a steak burrito I forgot what the name of it was called it was about a little over $11. Took a little while then expected the guy working it was out sitting because the chef put it the stand that it was ready. It was sitting for like 10 minutes. I understand the guy was busy but he disregarded it the whole time. I probably waited 30 minutes for a burrito. Mind you there was barley any people there. That's the only reason I took a star off. Tacos are good. They have decent Taco Tuesday deals . I wouldn't paint it as anything out of this world but definitely a good eat. The environment and the decor is definitely a site to see and personally amusing. They have their own parking to the right of the building which is a huge plus on calle Ocho. I'm rating 4 stars because their customer service could use some work, atleast from the girls up front who seemed to interested in their phones and somewhat bothered by having to take our order. read more

I was really excited for this place to open because it's walking distance from my house and I just LOVE tacos. Their decor is great, very fun and festive but the food did not meet my expectations. I went in during lunch hour craving some shrimp tacos but that was a no go, they don't serve shrimp at lunch time so I ordered tacos al pastor with some guacamole and chips. Guac was very bland and the tacos didn't have the best taste, I get that they tried to have a mixture of taste but this combo just didn't flow . I'll stick to Mi rinconcito Mexicano. read more

The food was not that good, my fish taco had two of the smallest pieces of fish I have ever seen. Looked like little gold fish. By far, their Mojo Pork taco is their best and probably the only one I'll be ordering again. Very cute little place in little Havana. Very casual location, order at the cash register P.S. the guy at the register was very nice even offered us to sample their drinks. The nachos with carne asada and the mojo pork tacos were super savory. I had the sangria and you get your money's worth very strong.The decor and atmosphere makes it so much better. Dont bother wasting your time going here, the staff is by far the worst I've seen in miami. When we got there we had wait in line for almosttl an hour, which I guess is okay, but i counted at least 30 people that obviously knew the staff and was let in ahead of us. Once inside the drinks were average. As I was dancing a girl pushed me into another guy, he than looked at me and walked off less than 5 minutes later i got kicked out. My guess is he was a regular. I don't do reviews a ton but I HAD to do one for El Santo!!! A couple weeks ago I went there for my bachelorette party with family and friends!! The service was amazing (except for the occasional cocktail not being refilled). Our party was 15 people! Chris, the manager, was our primary waiter and he was very kind, professional, and was very proud to give us the best experience! He was attentive to our needs. The other people that worked there were beyond willing to take photos of us in front of all the amazing decor! I definitely recommend this place especially for a large party and I plan to return! read more

We were wandering around 8th street and we stumbled upon this place. It was a cute corner restaurant and we were surprised it didn't have many people inside. The tacos were awesome and their little side bar where you can add additional toppings and sauces without having to ask for them was such a great addition. First time coming here. Thought I'd give it a shot since a good friend highly spoke of this place. I ordered a pound burrito tacos de pollo and asada along with queso fundido de chorizo. Now I understand they want for the food to come out all together but if we order an appetizer that should be out first or so I would think. 1. Let me start on the queso fundido.. maybe it's not for me but the cheese did not taste great. It's just plain nacho cheese with a sprinkle of chorizo. Enough for three bites on your tortilla chip. 2. The tacos were okay.. I'm not sure if they have an option for corn tortilla or flour but today I got flour and the tortilla itself is thick so it takes away the flavors from the pico de Gallo the chicken itself so not so great. Also why very little protein? It tasted more like taco de pico de Gallo (this is the chicken tacos) the carne asada tacos had so much peppers that again I barley tasted the meat! 3. The burrito was probably the one thing I liked more, though I fell like they just gave me more rice than anything else. Refried beans? It felt like I was playing where's Waldo (but with beans) when I bit into the guacamole it was just a big piece of tomato and very sour.. but like I said I still liked that better than anything else Last thing the vibe/customer service: Beautiful place. Music is great... very touristic. I can't give much feedback on customer service for they barley interact with you.. they just give you the menu and tell you to order in the front then they just drop off the food. No constant check up to make sure food was okay or if you need anything else. Would I pay $56 again for this? the waitresses are rude, i ordered a vegan taco and when i received it, it had a garlic cilantro cream on top (not vegan) - i stressed sin leche, sin carne, sin pollo, sin crema, sin queso. i had to fight really hard to get them to give me another order. if you do not want to serve a vegan option, don't put it on the menu my sister does not speak spanish and when she ordered she thought she got 2 orders of chicken tacos + a soda, then when she got her order it was just 1 taco order, she didn't have her itemized receipt but she had the credit card receipt that said $9.96 - if a taco order is $2.95 and a soda is $3.00 how is the check $9.96? i know tip is included but that doesn't make sense. the waitress refused to provide another order of tacos. i will not be going here again. food isn't even all that great anyways. humble down waitresses its just tacos. read more

First time at El Santo. Everything was great. From the moment I walked in. I was graciously greeted at the door. Christian the manager gave me a tour of the restaurant. The vibe and decor is beautiful. Lots of photo moments can be created through the restaurant. We were seated in the front and flaming cocktails were poured tableside and a flight if tequilla shots. We reccieved an array of tacos, tacos pastor..delicious as well as the quesadillas. After a food and drinks we were escorted to back of restaurant were they gave us a VIP table. The music was spot on. The service was over the top. From the bartenders pouring smashingly delicious drinks, cocktail servers dancing around fully in charge to the security over seeing. Wowww.
