Quality of service is going down! This is the 2nd time I've gone through the drive thru in the last 2-months. Food is good, got the Shasta Jumbo. Service is awful! 1st time, they missed a couple of items, so yesterday double checked the order. Again missed an item. After waiting in line for 30+ mins. decided not to wait for them to prepare it, and got my $$ back for the item. Don't plan on going back anytime soon...hopefully they'll improve. read more

Best I have found in Redding. Not to say it is the best in Redding. I have been in town for a year now and haven't found better. This place is decent. I wouldn't call it more than okay. I eat breakfast burritos here all the time but that's because they are always tasty enough. Bacon/chorizo/potato no meat are what I have gotten. For giving it an okay review I can tell you the name of the guy who works the window a partial life story. This place isn't going to blow your mind, knock your socks off or butter you bread but I like this place just fine. read more

Wow, I just got back to office and tried to eat my California Burrito and it was awful-very disappointed. So I typed in to yelp just to see what others were saying and there is review from August 2019 with exact same issue. The California Burrito ($8.06) tasted really odd. The meat "I think meat " was really chewy and dried out & the eggs tasted funny as well. There was an odd taste...like maybe the burrito was made from food that didn't sell a day or two or three ago. I did have the same California Burrito there about 2 weeks ago and it was good but NO not again. I wont be eating here any more. I do agree with the other reviews...that they have really gone down hill in their quality. I feel there is a cleanliness issue as well- I think the owner needs to take his business seriously if he wants to stay in business because it appears that's not the case and it surely wont last if this is the quality. Carne Asada (beef) chips is enough to feed 2 people ...no joke! of all things this little hidden jewel is in of all places a Gas Station!!! I have been going here for years and was always happy until the last two times in the past week. 1st the Carne Asada was so salty I couldn't eat it and last Monday I was the only customer yet I waited 15 min for one bean and cheese burrito then when I tried to eat it the beans poured out the bottom and all over my car. El Delicioso is okay for what it is. They make a big burrito that costs six dollars that is actually pretty tasty. The problem me and a couple of my friends experienced is not feeling very good the day after eating one of the burritos. Maybe it was just upset stomach from chile? Also as others have mentioned, it's literally in the same building as a gas station. Something about that just doesn't sit right. I'm getting heartburn just thinking about it. Anyway, good bang for your dollar, but the sanitation-gas station thing is always on my mind when I've been there. What a surprise to pull in to get gas and yo see a drive through. A look inside reveals a little restaurant serving absolutely awesome good food. If you want something very special and very filling get the chili burritos with carne Assad. Soooo good. I was turned on to this place by a buddy for fine late night chow and now have directed several people there who have each thanked me for the suggestion. Yes, this is take out from a gas station. I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS. Wow. I am vegetarian and I specifically asked for NO MEAT but there's a good amount sprinkled around my burrito which I ate and now I'm disgusted. My experience it this incredible Mexican eatery is a great example of great food at an even more unbelievable value... The burritos are top notch... This place does not cut corners... Great flavor and great price... The burritos are gigantic... Really tasty... I had to finish mine... Even though I wanted to stop because it was 2 meals in one... So after giving it some time I just went back. It was great!! I asked what to get. They didn't serve me wrong.

I've somewhat adopted El Delicioso as my favorite mexican restaurant in Redding. I've had everything from Chile Rellenos to Enchiladas...tonight I decided to venture out a bit and try the Shasta burrito. All I can say is damn it's good! From now on I think it will be the only thing I order. I highly recommend it, most everything else is pretty good sometimes a bit greasy but overall good. Why I gave it 4 stars. 5 stars for Shasta burrito though. read more

UPDATE...Tried to speak to the manager in person today and was NOT surprised to be met with a smirking, head shaking, obnoxious..."There is NOTHING I can do." Really, nothing? Well, maybe you don't answer your phone, don't get orders right, (even when repeated) and don't care about your customers but you should consider NOT chopping raw meat right next to veggies, think about wearing gloves, practicing basic sanitation and consider actually giving your drive through customers a receipt. I am glad I went inside today...If nothing else, I got to see all of the filth of a gas station restaurant. I got the full experience of El Delicioso Burrito, everything from the disgusting floors, food spills, grimy sanitation practices, including nose wipes with arms, lack of good hand washing and possible cross contamination of meats and veggies. All I've eaten from here is a Breakfast Burrito with carne asada. My husband enjoys his breakfast burrito with bacon, sausage. Both come filled with lots of meat, egg and potato. They are DELICIOUS and we can get two meals out of one burrito, we both can eat for under $16. Salsa is yummy and I slather my burrito with it. We have never eaten in, always drive-thru but the service is friendly and we have no complaints. read more

This is truly one of our favorite places to grab a quick bite in all of Redding. It is what we refer to as "San Diego" Mexican food. Carne Asada fries, taquitos with guac, and awesome chicken tacos! Best Mexican food in The Northstate! I have had food from this place five times in the last 2weeks. 3 tacos for $4 is a great and filling meal. The breakfast burrito is fantastic (potatoes could have been a little softer) and the wet burrito is HUGE and only $3. So I finally tried this place after ignoring it because 1) it's in a gas station and 2) it's not anywhere near my work so it's inconvenient to go. Now that I've been there, I've gone there 4 times in the last 2 weeks! I tried their carne asada taco and it was all over for me. It's huge so that is all I order. It's all I need and want. And for $2.20 a pop I can eat it all day everyday and twice on Sundays. It's that good. read more

The staff always know that that's what I'm going to order xD They are very nice, and obviously I love the veggie burrito. Love this place, my favorite hangover food by a long shot! Huge portions!
