My wife and I went for an early dinner today and was our first time to try el Mirasol. It will be our go to for Mexican seafood and AMAZING margaritas. Our server Armando was the very best. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and helped me choose as I was having trouble deciding between all the amazing options. We ordered margaritas and they were the best around. The ceviche appetizer was fresh and fabulous. Our main courses were so big we brought half of each home and are looking forward to the leftovers. We have been waiting for a location close to our home and we were happy to finally be able to enjoy a chispa and delicious food along with the superb service . Absolutely terrible tasteless food. Family visit with the kids. Ordered 3 different enchiladas plates, all were mediocre at best and lukewarm. The kids enchiladas was the greasiest mess I've ever seen. The La Mexicana plate had the driest chicken with shredded paper/cardboard consistency. And to top it off, my wife's plate was beautifully decorated with a bug. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

We were going to visit their 1604 location much earlier and then learned they be opening this location much closer to us and decided to wait. We finally went last night and were completely satisfied. The outdoor seating in the 72 degree weather (F-I-N-A-L-L-Y-!) was a special treat. Drinks (margaritas,) appetizers and main courses were all excellent. Generous portions, excellent service and reasonable prices made this a hit. The way the outdoor seating is configured cleverly disguises the fact that it is so close to I-10. We had heard through the grapevine that the service and food quality was sub-par, but that was not our experience at all. read more

Second time here, and we are already asking each other when we will be back again. While I will give a glowing review, I actually hate to because the secret will get out and they will get even busier than they already are. If you go for dinner, make a reservation or get there early. It looks like they can seat 300, and at times that isn't enough. The food is delicious and they give you more than you can handle. Margaritas are equally good with many flavors and types to choose from. Try anything seafood, recommend the nachos. Heaping piles of seafood on chips smothered with cheese, so yummy! read more

Visited for my daughter's Bjrthday a couple of weekends ago. Food was excellent as always, consistent and delicious. The service on the other hand was not good. Our server started out great greeting us, taking drink order but then it went downhill. After delivering the drinks he left, not asking if we wanted an appetizer. By the time he came back, we didn't want an appetizer anymore and just ordered our meal. The meal took a while to come out, but that's OK. It was fresh and delicious. Our server was very inattentive and basically disappeared. We had brought a cake and when we were ready we could not flag anybody down to bring it to us. Took a long time to get the bill as well. I was not happy that the tip was added automatically ( we had a party of 7) and at 22% to boot. I didn't agree with the tip but didn't want to take the time to ask for a manager after the length of time it took to even get the bill. Been going to El Mirasols for years and will again but feedback is always helpful! read more

Yes yes and yes. Food is always good. We have been way too many times to count and only once has the service been lacking but once we finally got someone to our table, they made the rest of the dining experience top notch. The restaurant was PACKED that night but the wait time was far longer than we were told (others with similar parties were being seated well before we were and once we got a table, we didn't see someone from wait staff for quite sometime). Restaurant is always clean and staff is so very kind and helpful. read more

Josie was amazing! 1st time here and all the staff was so attentive. Filled our water on time and brought several salsas as we went through them. The chips were warm and thick and the salsa was smokey and complimented them perfectly. We had the lobster enchiladas, poquito de todo plate, frozen margarita and the Chiapas margarita. Everything was great! I recommend getting the tajin rim for your margs. We'll definitely be back! read more

I placed a delivery order and it was nightmare. The order was placed with a delivery time an hour ahead. The food was over 30 min late and ice cold. The company that delivers for them is awful but assuming they picked it for cost. I was going to give a neutral rating considering most of the problems were on the delivery service (maybe) but the food wasn't really good either way. read more

I will preface this by saying that I am an incredibly loyal patron of Soluna, have been for years, but it's a solid trek from my house so when this opened I was so excited to have something closer. I have tried and tried to give this place a chance...every time I'm disappointed, and tonight was the final straw. I walked in after a long day at work at 8:29...I knew they closed at 9, but it's also only 8:30 on a Thursday night and still incredibly packed. I got a seat at the bar, sat down, and 3 different servers behind the bar walked by me for 12 minutes back and forth before one of them even cleared the old glasses out from in front of me, let alone gave me a menu. Finally get a menu and order a drink immediately because I knew what I wanted already. I was never even offered chips and salsa. I then got told when the drink was brought to me at 8:45, if I don't order by 8:50 I simply cannot order food. (I already knew what I wanted but by now I was pretty annoyed, so I decided to wait). I ordered at exactly 8:50, at 8:55 they raised all the lights and BLASTED the music...mind you still plenty of patrons in there. My food was brought out to me (nachos) absolutely soggy, no silverware or anything. Not even 5 minutes later someone is standing directly next to me, with the card reader and my check...I'd barely had 3 bites of my dinner. That was the final straw. I paid my tab, left my entire dinner and 3/4 full plate of dinner and walked out. I get yall want to go home, I worked in the service industry for years...this is not the way to do it, nor gain repeat customers. Do better, I will continue to drive the extra mile to Soluna and the El Mirasol off Blanco where they treat you like family there no matter what. Absolute joke of a place read more

I wanted to love this place so much but it was a complete miss. Every single order at our table was wrong and even after multiple attempts to get them corrected (some were fixed) the waiter still couldn't quite get them correct and never apologized. Even when our ticket came and we were charged for food we never got (even though we tried) he never apologized. The food was unremarkable. I can't say that I have ever had more mild/bland Mexican food. The fish enchiladas were lackluster, bland and tiny. The rice they came with was the most mediocre white rice I've ever had at a restaurant. Can't say how the charro beans were because that was one thing the waiter never brought even though they were supposed to come with the plate. The beef fajitas were somehow bland and unimpressive. The refried beans were pasty and cold. And although my daughter ordered a poblano sauce on her chicken (one of the plates offered) I can't tell you if it was good because they brought her something else completely and it never got corrected. The one saving grace was the chips and salsa, they are fantastic. I so wish I loved this place because they are so close to me but there is no way we will ever go back. read more
