I used to love spending my money here! The last two times that I have came to this exact location my orders have been really shity. The staff is very friendly and nice but very forgetful. Every time I go through the drive-thru they forget to give me a fork or the salsas or my drink or they pass the stupid timer and they make me park on the side of the place. Today I was very upset cuz I got my chipotle chicken avocado burrito no beans or cabbage. So it's usually smaller than what it is, and that's okay but today it was farther than usual I took two bites out of it and there was not one piece of chicken inside of it. The nice blonde pretty girl I'm not sure if she was a manager or not, attended me and started to dispute with me about her being the one that made the burritos and she had put the chicken in it herself. I showed her the burrito and she opened it and was like oh sorry. Not sure what's going on. Had my first burrito here today. For 7.00 it was very large, hot and delicious. I loved the cabbage inside. Nice crunch without being soggy. I did not order a drink because I was short on cash. Went through Drive-Thru and ordered Classic Chicken Burrito. I Asked about the sides. He said: comes with a drink and side chips. I said: ok Pulled up to pay and only received my Burrito with NO Drink/Chips that was suppose to be there. When I went to take a few bites I noticed there no Shredded chicken inside of the burrito. It was some other type of meat that was burnt. And Chips were stale. During my ordering for my meal, the 2 Employee's that was on the drive way speaker, weren't professional. I found out coupon at facebook.com Had free chipotle chicken burrito.. Wow, it was delicious. Staffs were friendly and fast speed in the drive through. It was soft opening; only took coupon that was $10 worth of meals. Will have grand opening on 9/4 i think..need to double check. The location is pretty good and plenty of parking space. Stopped here for a quick pick-up lunch after shopping nearby. We liked the look of the Chicken Avocado Tortilla Wrap, and got a couple. Came with a nice spicy side salad, all fresh and tasty. The wrap was just the right amount of chicken and avocado, corn gave it a nice sweetness. I am a longtime big fan of El Pollo Loco in Sacramento, but not here (yet), so inside service has yet to be reviewed. Very disappointed I ordered a 12 piece dinner,requested legs, thighs ,breast's specifically asked for NO WINGS. I was originally excited when I saw they were opening an El Pollo Loco in Livermore, but was extremely disappointed by my experience at this new location. I ordered a chicken avocado burrito to go after a long day at work and had to wait about 15 minutes for it! There were about 15 people working in the kitchen but service was chaotic and slow. When I finally got my food and went home to eat it, I found that they totally forgot to include the chicken!!!!! I paid $6 for an avocado and salsa burrito!! Willing to give this place another try but I think I'll wait a few minutes for them to get their act together. The thing with most El Polo Loco s I've tried when they open they stick to their factory corporate rules for the food and the places are busy. The food is perfect and fresh. Once they settle in and start getting lazy and the crowds die down and the Chicken just sits on the grill and gets totally dried out. This one has been open for a few months and Now Everytime we've gone, the Chicken is All Died Out. Tonight we got Burritos and they were like someone who hates their job through a bunch of Slop into a wrap. There both were cold and my son and I both thought were garbage. Seriously Nasty. I've been warning my son that I thought the quality was quickly getting worse. We were hopping for something decent going into this location but No Such Luck. Every single time I come in here, they wrong me! One time was a weird stomach issue most likely from the chicken. Last time I ordered a DOUBLE CHICKEN avocado salad. I got home and saw there was no chicken. So I called and they told me to come back and they will make a new one. I'm already home! I'm not going to drive all the way back, that's why I got it to go. Today, I ordered a chicken wrap (it has breast meat). I pull up and they swipe my card and charge me before telling me there's no breast meat ready (it was lunch time, wtf??) and it will take 15 minutes for more. Again, I'm in the drive thru. I don't have a lot of time to wait. They conveniently tell me this after I've already paid and now my only option is to get thigh meat. So now I've paid a higher price for less quality meat and they didn't offer to fix the charge or throw in anything extra. I'm gonna take a hint and stop going to this location. read more

I have visited three times and each experience has been worse than the last. I was hoping they would get their act together but it hasn't happend. On this last visit, the chicken was dry and overcooked, beans bland (as usual), and rice also bland and dry (hard). Corn tortillas were dried to the point of crispy on about 1/4 of their surfaces. Found multiple bone shards and cartilage in my chicken burrito.... Don't know if that's supposed to add "crunch", but I was not a fan, and since I was the only customer it's not like they were rushed and made a mistake. It was like they boiled a whole chicken and dropped it into a grinder. Also, really pretty flavorless. It had lots of different textures, which makes you think you should be getting a kick out of it, but it was like one solid taste of "eh, okay, this tastes slightly better than the bag it came in" through the whole thing. $6 for something full of more bone than flavor is not worth it to me. I'll keep going to the other taqueria in the shopping center where $6 goes way further and includes chips. Would only recommend to those who think water is too spicy for them. DRIVE FAST OUTTA HERE AND DO NOT LOOK BACK!! What was absolute joy a few months ago at the sight of El Pollo Loco in Livermore being built, has quickly turned into absolute disgust!! The first month I went several times and it was great. Then, things started to turn bad the last few months...both the food and the service. This past Saturday night was the last straw...NEVER AGAIN! Horrible service, horrible food......and no excuses for it. I went through the drivethru at 7pm, and it wasn't busy, only one other car. I ordered a family meal pack with chicken, corn tortillas, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. I asked for salsa and avocado sauce as well at the speaker and I was told the sauces were standard with the meal. When I reached the pay window, I again made sure to ask for salsa and avocado sauce and was told VERY RUDELY...." I told you it came standard, you'll get it with your order!!". To top it off, my order wasn't ready and I was told to pull in front of the store and wait. TEN MINUTES later my meal is brought to my car and THRUST thru the driver window abruptly without even a thank you. Before I could even look in my bag, the kid was gone. When we got back home (5 minute drive), the chicken was cold, we got corn instead of macaroni and cheese, the coleslaw was bone dry with no dressing on it, the tortillas were just crumbled and falling apart, and guess what NO SAUCES!! We were so excited to get an El Pollo Loco open up in Livermore because we used to go to the one in San Jose and loved it! After eating at the livermore location 3 times now, we've come to the conclusion it's not even close to comparable to the San Jose location. I have gone to El Pollo Loco restaurants for more than 20 years in various locations in California. Unfortunately, the Livermore location is the worst. Very disappointed. Have ordered the mixed chicken meal multiple times and have been disappointed to get the thighs and legs meal instead. Since this has happened multiple times, I believe the Livermore location does this on purpose. Another hint this location is bad, it's not crowded. Have you been to an el pollo loco that isn't crowded? Im not sure livermore should support a restaurant that does so poorly with delivering their product. This place is hit or miss with the staff. They are almost always out of something or dont have enough of everything. Sometimes the staff will let you know other times they dont and only give you whatever they have! lIke instead of a full side of the rice and beans they just give you half, but you paid for the full meal!! I only like leg and thighs alot of time they are out and charge the higher price for the mixed even though i dont eat the breast! That is ridiculous because its not my fault they are out of chicken! HORRIBLE! Management needs to go. I've been to this place a few times and every time they will forget utensils and the chicken is cold. They will serve the soup scalding hot be careful. Also there's a few employees that will give you attitude even though they will mess up drink sizes and even what you order, double check the bag before you leave. Today, when I got my order, which was two platters, the young woman who took my order reluctantly asked if I needed a bag. I said yes and she proceeded to put my order into a small, handled bag.
