The foods good. The menu has a lot of traditional American food, both breakfast and lunch. The service is okay and the staff is nice. It's not mind blowing great, but it's pretty decent for the area. The hot sauce is really good so you Should experience all 3 options

Sometimes I require a breakfast burrito. This adorable mexi-diner is small-town and tasty. There is something very wholesome about the under-the-sea decor that is cheesy in just the right way. Service is fast, super polite, and to food is great. The coffee wasn't bad either. Definitely happy that I stopped in..

Overall, a decent option for Mexican food in Bishop. There was no wait for seating, the service was decent, and the food came quickly. Chips & salsa are complementary, the hot salsa had a small kick but was not very flavorful. I ordered the taquito plate, which was a hearty portion and I enjoyed it. The rice and refried beans were flavorful, and the taquitos were satisfyingly crunchy. I think the shredded beef could have been more tender, but overall it was good. I would like to come back to try another meal!

Came on a Sunday for lunch with a group of friends. The service here is amazing - our server started us off with chips and 6 types of delicious salsa! They had mild, medium, green, avocado, and spicy chipotle salsas to satisfy a range of patrons and their spiciness levels. Our server kept refilling the chips and was super sweet and attentive throughout the entire meal. I ordered the Big Tostada that came loaded with rice, re-fried beans, asada, lettuce, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream. I was only able to finish half as the portion sizes here are huge! Would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area.

With the look of a diner crossed with a palapa on the beach, El Ranchito puts out good, if not great, Mexican fare. Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu at El Ranchito has American and Mexican selections for any time of day. From hamburgers with fries and breakfast burritos to three-egg omelettes and the usual selection of tacos and burritos, there is something for everyone. Piled high with moist roast chicken, onions, finely chopped tomatoes and fresh cilantro, the tacos Mexicanos ($14.50) are served with Mireya's rice and either Mayacoba (refried) or black beans. While the black beans were a little too al dente, the combination plate was very good. With a copious amount of either octopus or shrimp, the seafood cockteil (small: $14, large: $18) is chocked full of diced tomato, cucumber, onion, cilantro and avocado and bathed in a rich, spicy tomato broth. Refreshing, spicy and filling at the same time. The small is sufficient for one person, while the large could easily serve as an appetizer for two. Staff was friendly and efficient, as was the kitchen: diners' needs were met promptly, and the food came out rapidamente. Pro tip: El Ranchito has five different salsas, all made in-house: tomatillo verde (packs a little kick), chile de arbol, aguacate (avocado-based, creamy and mild), salsa ranchera (medium spicy), salsa roja (mild) and chipotle. If they are not proffered, be sure to ask for them. Good, honest and well-priced, El Ranchito is worth a try if you are in Bishop and have a craving for a Mexican food.

Has a tented area with tables right outside provided for us to dine at but was infested with large mosquitoes so we quickly ate and left. All the items tastes great and not overly salty and the tacos are not overly greasy. We ordered tacos with many different meat and they all tastes great. Asada, langua, tripa, etc. I especially find the texture of the tripa (beef fried intestines) interesting. I've had tripa from many taco trucks but none of them made it fried like they do here. Interesting texture and savory flavor. Definitely would do a stop by here again if in route for a lunch stop. The only thing is, the complimentary stir fry onion and green pepper was very spicy and too oily for me to handle, but I'm sure others wouldn't mind.

Ordered a bunch of different tacos to go : lengua, pastor, cabeza, chicken. They were all very delicious and authentic. However, I still prefer the taco place Tacos Y tortas La Chiquita in Arlington VA better! Ordering took a while because he prefers cash and I didn't bring any, his credit card machine wasn't working well and it took a long time before the internet got connected to be able to pay. Also... I was a little bit worried about how clean things are, the chef was handling money, his phone, the credit card tablet with his hands, not wearing gloves or sanitizing in between... luckily I didn't get sick afterwards.

They did have a dinner rush but still wasn't overwhelmingly busy feeling. The food did take a bit on the longer side but I promise it is worth the wait. We had the ribeye aguachile and quesabirria tacos. The only suggestion I have is the quesabirrias to be made with a different brand of tortillas if it's not their own. They're a bit thicker and once crisped they can have a tug bite on them. Wish the aguachile ribeye had a side of something to justify the price as it doesn't come with rice, beans or anything else. Besides that definitely recommend and will come back.

Very good and the right amount of food! The chips were good except for the salsa it needed a little bit more zip for me, but that is okay! Plus, it was nice and enjoyable for a Wednesday night and the waitress was kind and had my food out to me as soon as I ordered! So all is good so next time I'm driving through Bishop I'll stop for some really good street tacos!! Thank you! Julie
