I love coming to this location because it is very close to my house and they always have daily specials. I usually order 'Pollo a la plancha' with a side of Ceaser salad and crema de calabaza. The employees there not only recognize me already, but are always very helpful and quick with their service. Definitely recommend this for any occasion with family or friends. read more

We've been quite a few times on weekends for breakfast and have been happy with the food, service and price. Recently, however, we visited and I noticed that the tables were mostly full of empty plates, cups and glasses. Lots of gazes and little conversation. After 18 Mins a waiting to see if we might be waited on, we left. No one noticed. The staff was busy preparing a take-out order and completely forgot about the dining room guests. I've been to several different ones and while the service has always been great in each and every one I've visited, today was not the case while attempting to order delivery. I understand that there's a delivery fee for every order placed, but if there's an ENTIRE office trying to order food; not only is it gonna be a huge order for the restaurant, it's also going to the SAME EXACT PLACE, so why should there be a $5 delivery fee on every single order? I'm talking about an order of probably $100+ because it would've been about 10-12 people ordering food. So it would've been $100 on food and $50-60 for delivery??? And when I asked to speak to the manager, they confirmed they weren't going to do anything about it. Yeah. Right. I love the food here, but I won't be ordering delivery nor will I be sitting down to eat at this restaurant. There's a s#!tload of other restaurants that would've made this exception in a heartbeat. This cuban restaurant is definitely good! Great customer service, the place is clean, a lot of parking space, and the atmosphere in general is very friendly. They empanadas are very good and they put a decent amount of fill up inside, good food delivery service, the food tastes good and it isn't expensive. I like the fried whole red snapper with "tostones", green plantais and salad. The "rabo encendido", ot ox tail is also very tasty. You can add black beans and white rice, and plantain chips as sides. Ending the experience with a cuban coffee is almost mandatory. Enjoy it! read more

I've been living in Miami almost my whole life. When it came to cuban food, I have always basically played it safe and only gone to either La Carreta or Havana Harry's. Well, my Fiancee who transplanted from Iowa is a huge fan of the diversity of cultures and is always in search of a new dining experience and especially if it is conveniently close to home. So, I had seen lots of "El Rinconcito Latino" delivery cars in my area and started to wonder how good they were and finally my fiancee was the guinea pig and tried it. Well, he LOVED it! He enthusiastically told me how good the food was, the customer service and how popular and packed the place was and dragged me there to see it for myself! So, I went and indeed it was very crowded and that is usually a good sign! He had me go inside and check out the restroom because he knows that my opinion of a place relies very much on how the restroom is. I am happy to say that although there is only 1 stall, it was very nice, clean, modernized and pleasant! Now that this place passed the restroom test, I was ready for the rest of the experience. Keep in mind, this is a local, affordable place and no big frills. Seeing the dining area, I am positive that we will NEVER eat in. The tables were too many too close together on top of eachother. However, the outside area was pleasantly spaced out with a roof and fans blowing which are really necessary in this miami heat! This review is based ONLY on our many, various take-out experiences. First off, I tried to order online but the ordering link didn't work so we have only been able to call the orders in. Sometimes, nobody answers the phone and we understand because they are super busy so we end up going there and placing the order in the take-out window. The service has been friendly and attentive and efficient. Food: We typically order the same every time. Grilled chicken breast, or chicken sandwich, or chicken vaca frita with steamed yuca or french fries or a side salad. Let me just say the chicken and the steamed yuca were delicious and super plentiful. The fries...uh, not so great! But again, everyone likes their fries different. If you like them soggy and greasy than these are for YOU! We like them crunchy and not greasy...but they were big and lots of them. The side salad is actually really big...no frills, basically just lettuce and parm cheese and croutons but good enough. Oh and once I also got the grilled fish and it was delicious! and big! So, all in all, we recommend and will continue to be regulars. ONLY suggestion or improvement I would say is to stop using styrofoam and use recycled paper products instead. read more

MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: My husband and I have eaten a couple of times at this restaurant and have ordered home delivery a number of times in the last few months. While for home delivery they usually tell us to allow at least 30 minutes for arrival, each time they've been at my door in less than 15 minutes, they're on Coral Way and 67 Ave., I'm near Coral Way and 87 Ave. Delivery charge is only $3.00 + whatever tip one wants to tip the driver. The food has always been very, very good except on three occasions. One delivery of my favorite dish, vaca frita, was awful, just plain awful, the meat was very burned. One delivery of lechón asado was also awful and had too much grease. One delivery of 'chicharrón de pollo' arrived completely covered in wet onions which along with the steam of the hot food made the breading on the chicharron mushy and disgusting, it looked like dog vomit. I had to remove most of the breading by hand and place the chicken in a hot oven in order to make them crispy again. If the person who prepared the take-out container with chicharrón de pollo had any common sense, he/she would have realized that any food that's breaded will get all mushy once it receives steam in a closed hot container! Management: Are you reading this?? I've always paid cash for deliveries, I think next time I'll pay with a credit card and if the food's not acceptable I'll take it up with management. Once they have my cash I doubt management will do anything to satisfy me. Maybe I'm wrong, I hope I'm wrong. Will NEVER go to this restaurant again. I ordered weekly food delivery for my 84 year old mother during the pandemic. The first week they asked her to pay $10 more than the original advertised cost because she was "out of the area." They explained that her address was 2 blocks from the delivery limit. The following week they increased the additional fee to $25 for being "out of the area." This is price gouging and taking advantage is the elderly. totally agree with kristen and cant believe i hadnt reviewed this place. its packed 7 days a week at almost every hour. which is a great sign of a good restaurants. i have eaten in, but usually just take out, since i live pretty close by. their daily specials cannot be beat, they range from $5-9 approx. and are huge portions. "a completa" as us cubans say -- meat, rice, and a 2 sides. the ropa vieja is delicious so is the palomilla. i was shocked, in a good way, with their chicken salad. i believe its the wed special. you get 2 mammoth scoops of chicken salad and 3 ham croquetas (which are really good btw, not the best but good) and a bunch of saltines. it was soo huge i had lunch for the next day. ive never been for breakfast but will definitely be making an attempt soon... read more

I work at the elementary school next to this place- which equals coming here for lunch quite often. Before I did, my abuela did, and still does. This is authentic Cuban food in large portions and excellent prices. Might keep in mind- a lot of spanish speaking staff (can be difficult to order without a translator if you only speak English) but they are friendly and attentive to whatever you need. When I had surgery on my mouth recently I discovered that their soups are surprisingly yummy (malanga in particular) and cheap which is just a little bonus to go with all their other great dishes- which both my family and co-teachers have enjoyed very much. so, I found this place a couple of weekends ago after a grueling15 mile run with my marathon training team. what a pleasant surprise. you gotta love that first of all it's completely unassuming. We got there, and there was a line out the door, but it went through very quickly. We balked at the inexpensive pricing ( by the time we got there, it was lunch) and all of us were able to share a plate of food that went for 7.99 each. I had one of the specials, the vaca frita, with moros and tostones. Yum-o. I shared it with a teammate and the portion was enough to still leave us both stuffed. I also liked that the restaurant was started by an Salvadoran family- I am half Salvadoran and don't see many restaurants here in Miami that cater to our tastes- that being said- although they mention being a restaurant that fuses Salvadoran/Cuban cuisine ( which would be exactly my heritage) they stick to the more popular and know Cuban cuisine, and left my wondering why not offer a view sample Salvadoran dishes to open the public to our style of eating? I have been a customer for the last 10 years and have always enjoyed the food and service! This morning I had a bad experience with the waitress but primarily with the day manager. We ordered our usual breakfast and as usual I asked for strong coffee for our cafe con leche. The waitress was not our usual waitress and perhaps new. She brought us very strong coffee in a separate cup and the cups with milk half way full. I asked for more milk since it was too strong. They brought 1/2 a cup. When we received the check they charged $1.75 for 1/2 a cup of milk that was not given to us initially. When I asked for the manager, he was very rude and told me that they were not in the business of giving free things to customers. I tried to explained that the initial cups were half full but he cut me off rudely and repeat that they are not giving anything for free. Very disappointed that I was treated so rudely by a manager of a restaurant that I like and have been going to at least once a week for years. read more
