This is a tiny little restaurant in a strip mall and I was awestruck from the moment I got there. Behind the counter, Kayla, was friendly and helpful and served us the yummiest breakfast ever. Two pancakes the size of steering wheels, eggs, bacon and a huge choirzo then finished off with a heaping cup of fresh fruit. Hello.... Last night we visited this location at 1099 North Military tri in West Palm Beach. We have been there before and just like last night the food was AMAZING AND DELICIOUS. Service is great and the ladies always helpful with getting you the best deals and prices. We end up getting the family package of Birria Tacos which came with 12 tacos, the dipping soup, lime, onions and cilantro. It was perfect. We also got to large freshly made Horchata the strawberry kind. When I tell you we could have shared one of those drinks it was so big but worth it. Before I get started, I will definitely be coming back to try their cheeseburger! BACK STORY: A friend and I were hanging out downtown West Palm Beach, but every place was crowded and the wait times were way to long to feel like I would be able to sit down and enjoy myself, without being rushed out for the next table. They had a single use bathroom, about 2-3 tables for customers to sit, also A LOT of parking for people picking up or delivery. It gave me authentic Hispanic/ Latino restaurant. He ordered everything, but I took a look at the menu and found some other great options for next dine-in (photos attached). THE FOOD: The food was indescribably good, lol! The flavors, the dip, the drink, all had their own stand alone experience and I love that about places I go to. It was a bit difficult to find parking but found it in a little corner. I'm used to visiting the food truck when I'm in the area but finally being in the restaurant was a nice change. The girl at the counter was really nice and patient. I really liked the decorations even if it's a small restaurant. My food was good. I ordered the al pastor tacos and an esquite. So I really like this place because it's a little different and puts a twist to the whole burritos and tacos scene. I ended up getting the steak burrito just to keep it simple and it was delicious, they even put fries in the wrap which I feel is pretty cool. Saw this on Instagram and thought it looked amazing! We received bad food. We did door dash and they didn't read any of the notes on it. Ordered a taco with the vegan option and they sent a taco with lettuce glued on with cheese and that's it. Ordered the esquite but asked for no hot Cheetos on it and it came smothered in hot Cheetos, and it was just bland corn underneath. Ordered the tacos with Burria soup and it was way too salty, the tacos shells were very dry, and the meat was way too chewy. Will not be ordering here ever. Disappointed because their Instagram looked mouth watering but the food was just plain bad. We ended up tossing it and going to a different restaurant. read more

So this is my second time coming. First time was amazing. Got the birria and soup for 12 bucks. Looked at the menu today and I was shocked to see they r now selling it for 20 bucks. I tipped. I got home and 3 of the tacos were full of fat, couldn't eat them. 30 bucks for 6 tacos and can't eat 3? That's horrible. I won't b returning. I should've made it at home like I planned. read more

I was craving birria tacos and buying it from El Rucon definitely satisfied me. The woman taking my order is always so sweet and down to earth and my food was given to me quickly. I am very disappointed. This food was great but the Berrian taco came with 3 miniature tacos and a whole medium sized cup of birria soup. That's not enough tacos for the soup. And everything was barely seasoned. I thought this would be a decent Mexican place for once. Service is great but they were in a rush for some reason?? They have a sticky date Dessert that if you pair it with ice cream will probably make it so you never see your toes again and there's nothing wrong with that. I generally cannot tell you that there's one thing wrong about this restaurant except it's not located in the easiest place to get to lastly the cocktail menu and the Mixology as well as the servers giving it to you and I think you would call them almost mixologist. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular hamburger and wow... there are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong.
