Tried this place out for lunch on a whim after a nearby appointment through a quick Yelp search and super glad I stopped by. These are the best tacos I've had in quite some time in the South Bay. Tortillas tasted very fresh, meats were all great, salsa wasn't too overpowering. Could use a tad more salt if we're counting hairs, but delicious nonetheless. I always get my holy trinity when available at taco trucks: lengua, cabeza, and tripa. Luckily they had all that and more at a relatively affordable price. Service is quick and expedient at lunch time. I ordered and got my food within a few minutes and ate it then and there on the truck. There's also a canopy and two tables for seating, but it's peak lunch time so they were full. Plenty of street parking available nearby. Would recommend and will come back soon 5/5. Updating this review w additional photos and details -- still the greatest family-owned small business gem and my favorite taco truck! The owner, Maribel, makes the corn tortillas for the tacos by hand every morning. They're so much better than commercial tortillas that fall apart way more easily - these are the perfect thickness to absorb all the flavors from the tacos. My usual go-to order of 3 tacos plate: - lengua taco (beef tongue) - cabeza taco (beef head) - chile relleno taco de guisado (stuffed pepper w cheese inside and rice) The location has moved to Oakmead Village Court w 3 sets of foldable square tables w 4 folding chairs each, some parts are shaded and some are in the sun. It can get a bit windy at times, so stick your napkins under your plate so they don't fly away. Lots of street parking along the same road. Reasonably quick service around the lunch rush. It's a favorite with my coworkers. I've gotten various tacos from here, my favorite are the brisket and quesabirria tacos. The asada can be hit or miss, if you come late in the day it may be more dry. Make sure to get at least three quesabirria tacos if you want consommé on the side. The green salsa is nice and spicy. The most-orders: cabeza, tripas, and buche. The proteins were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, fatty on the inside. The green salsa was fantastic like other reviewers have mentioned. Be sure to get there earlier if you can because there's a bit of a line. But don't let it throw you off if there's a line because they move quickly. Oh man, Mathilde is the best, she's probably got the best al pastor outside of Mexico. Those slices of of perfectly marinated pork are remarkably juicy and those outer edges have the most pleasant crunch. On top of those, the green sauce really has no real competition outside of mexico either. Add that to the tacos and you have heaven on a tortilla. This is probably my favorite taco truck right now, and for great reasons too. The food is really tasty as well as authentic. And the super burritos are among the best i've had in my life. Not overly rich but bursting with the perfect amount of flavor. You can request the burrito be made with a bit extra pico de gallo to maximize your enjoyment. Tried the: Al Pastor - Good but tasted a bit dry, probably cooked too long and sit out Lengua - Boiled tongue, nothing that special Campechanos - Good a couple of different meats combined together Complimentary chips with a salsa bar. The picked onions and lime were good but the radish looked like they were from the previous day because it was dry and wilted. Dock a star for not fresh condiments and another star because the tacos were on two corn tortillas. A good taco I think should be on a single freshly pressed tortilla. We arrived at around 7:45 pm, there was mild traffic and the weather was a cool. I could smell the aroma of grilled steak in the air which immediately got my appetite in gear. The taco truck is parked near auto mechanic shop. The area was clean and appeared sanitary. There are two picnic style benches behind the truck for customers. The truck features a condiment area that has various salsas and napkins. I ordered the al pastor tacos with everything on them and a carne asada super burrito w/ sour cream and no beans. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The tacos were $2 each. The burrito was $8. The tacos were delicious, the meat was very tender and juicy. The burrito was good except it had a bit too much rice and not enough steak for my liking. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and recommend this place. Before food trucks became a vehicle for ubiquitous foodie fusion fare, there was the basic taco truck. El Sabroson de la Linea 2 is somewhat elevated, more like a full-on taqueria on wheels, bringing its special goodness all over Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. On weekdays, during lunchtime, this truck sits in the HD Supply parking lot near the corner of Bowers and Kifer in Santa Clara. I used to work really close to here and visit frequently. Today I remembered the spot and drove here to revisit a favorite. El Sabroson de la Linea 2 is staffed by some kind, friendly people who will patiently explain anything you need to know about their food. Their offerings fall into three broad categories: tacos, tortas and burritos. Seems simple enough so far, right? Until you get into the meats. They have a lot of options: carne asada (beef), al pastor (pork), pollo (chicken), choizo, lengua, cabeza, and more. That they have cabeza and lengua on the menu is enough to convince I'm eating at an authentic place. I'm not going to try it, but it's good to know they have it for those who want it. Some places I'll try anything and everything on the menu. Here I am stuck on the super burrito with carne asada. It costs $8. It is worth every penny and stands up to any burrito, any place. They cook everything fresh on their flat-top grill and the smells are great. The carne asada has a nice roasted garlic taste to it which fits nicely with the pico de gallo, avocado slices, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream. Just talking about it makes me want to return tomorrow for another. They have free chips and salsa included, self-service. They sell snacks and soft drinks. There is no seating, but feel free to eat standing up in the parking lot, go back to your vehicle or take it to go. I'm so glad I remembered this place. I'll be back. read more

So. Freaking. Tasty. I constantly drive past here and saw this truck, and it reminded me of one of those roach coaches (aka, really good, decently priced Mexican food). It definitely did not disappoint. There's a huge list of Tortas (all of which are in Spanish, but I just asked the lady what was in them) plus complementary chips you can put in a baggie. I got the Jalapena torta because they descriped it as meat, jalapenos, cheese, and avocado. I didn't really know what kind of meat they used at first (I suspect hot dog) but it was SO GOOD. Also, it was gigantic. I probably should have left half of it to eat later, but it was so delicious I kind of ate the whole thing in one go. They also have $2 tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a few other things, but I'd highly recommend going with their tortas. They have two people up there grilling and chopping up the meat. Came here for lunch around 12:30PM because my co-worker wanted to eat at this good taco truck. At first, i didn't believe him because I always get decent or bad tacos up here in the bay area. Maybe I'm not choose the right taco places. There wasn't a long line when we came to eat. It was at a parking lot with no tables so you'll have to either stand or sit on the curb and eat. I ordered 4 Al Pastor tacos which is 2 bucks each. The wait wasn't too bad. I was pretty hungry already so I felt like it was taking a bit of time to make. I'm sure that I didn't wait too long, but having a hungry stomach makes it feel like it was taking a while. Once we got our food - i added some lime and hot sauce to my tacos. Then we went to sit somewhere with a nice shade because it was hot outside. I took my first bite and wow! This food truck taco was actually pretty good! I enjoyed it! The food was hot and fresh! The Al Pastor to me was really good! I like the texture of it! It wasn't super soft and mushy or watery like some places. It was amazing! It made me want to come back again and get more tacos in the future! The price was pretty good in my opinion! There's some restaurants that sells tacos for 3 bucks or more and it isn't that great. This place sells it for 2 bucks each and tasted good to me! I'm not sure how the other tacos are, but I definitely enjoyed the Al Pastor. Service was good! I didn't have any issues with them. Don't sleep on this one. The food here is bomb.com, wait I meant bomb.io since it's in Sunnyvale. Located in a car repair lot, this is the closest you will get to a LA taco truck scene. $8 burritos that are huge and way better than the Cantina place in downtown Sunnyvale. Best of all, they've got all the fixin's you need like guaca salsa, sliced turnips, and marinated jalapenos. The free chips are kinda meh but at least it's crunchy. 10/14/15: New truck!!! Very glad this truck came today. Not only is it great Mexican, they have the "real Mexican" stuff (like I would know as a Chinese of course)... like they got LENGUA! Need I say more!? 1. Campechanos $2 (no tax): So I totally quizzed the cashier lady on what all the different items were, cause it's all in Spanish. This one came up, and she said it's sausage mixed with asada. Pretty much sums it up. The taco was pretty basic--just the meat, cilantro, and onions. They have the 3 typical sauces: red, green, and orange--more on that later, but they are quite good. I would say the carne asada is not the best, but it works. Both the sausage and asada are somewhat dry, but flavorful. 5/10. 2. Sabrosona Torta $10 (no tax): Yeah, I asked what this meant too, and she said it's "everything." Well, not too descriptive there, but I would say the primary meats are thin carne asada, chorizo, and hot dog. That's in addition to the typical torta stuffings of refried beans and vegetables. Tasted great. Now, the one extraordinary thing to note is the size--it's HUGE. Probably enough for 2 meals (I put one half into my fridge.) Good stuff. 8/10. So, I'm going to give this 5 stars. Now, as noted, I didn't think the food was perfect 10/10's, but their menu is quite impressive--tons of stuff I've never tried before, and the value is fantastic. And since I really want to try more, I think a 5 would indicate my newly found appreciation for this truck. To The Owner: if you are reading this just wanted to let you know that on our campus' calendar says Rice Rockit was supposed to be here, so no one knew your new truck was here. So, the lower showing might be because people thought it was going to be Rice Rockit, which to put it kindly, is not a truck you want to be mistaken for. I used to work across the street off Bowers, but never made it over to try this taco truck. I'm actually kinda sad now because our office moved like 15 minutes away. My coworker and I were in the area so we decided to finally try it. I only got 1 Carne Asada taco but it was enough to win me over!! If I were still at that Bowers office, boy, would I be in trouble probably coming here every day. This taco truck makes everything fresh too, where you can see them chopping the meat up. Good and proper mexican food. A bit on the pricier side, but okay for the location I think. They take cards even though it's a food truck which is a big help. I have tried both the Al Pastor and the Chorizo. The al pastor is on the sweeter side but without a chunk of pineapple, unlike some other mexican places - I most definitely prefer this way. The red and green salsa are both spicy so beware if you can't handle spice, and go for the milder salsa (a lighter shade of red). read more

I'm a big porkie, I love carnitas and this burrito is one of the best I've ever had (I've had lots of carnitas burritos in my lifetime). I work down the street and have been to most mexican restaurants/ trucks in a 2 mile radius.. this place doesn't come up in search, maybe because they only have 3 other reviews?
