If you're looking for a casual spot with great food and excellent service, El Taco Lucas in Corona is a nice mom and pop Mexican restaurant with a casual, warm, and inviting vibe with beige booths inside that are comfortable. The hard shell tacos we had were perfectly crisp without being too oily, which made them very light and satisfying. The fresh, flavorful cheese adds the perfect finishing touch to every bite. The service here is also friendly and attentive, making the whole experience wonderful. Love that they serve ice water and have utensils and napkins out too. Makes it easy to eat here and enjoy!

Very clean restaurant with lots of seating. Friendly people. Good flavors with the food, lengua was very tender. Homemade tastes.

This place is Pretty good.. I like the new Dining room area.. the salsa is really good.. Wish they had chips. I ordered a bean and cheese burritos and is was delicious. You order at counter and then they call you "by plate name" one at a time.. So we kept walking back and fourth to get food and everyone eating (while hot) before everyone can sit. We had a group of 10 people. Wish would bring food to table if going to do it that way.. but overall this place is good.

Stopped in during the day to eat some awesome tacos and let me tell you that they were juicy and very loaded with flavor. The location is very clean and quiet with a great Family atmosphere similar to many mom and pop shops. I highly recommend to swing by and give it a try because its the next best thing without having to go to tijuana and FYI i live there.Service with a smile is what you get when you first walk in.

It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. The quesabirria was a one of my favorite things on the menu, one of the best I've had. Everything I had was top-notch! One of the best parts was the salsa bar. They had onions, cilantro, red sauce, green sauce, limes, everything you could want for your tacos. The service was quick, even with a large lunch crowd coming in. The restaurant filled up quickly, the dine-in seats were all about taken and the outdoor patio was filling up too. The parking lot was very limited and one way, so just know that when pulling in. I ordered in advance and went to pick up my food, but since I was starving, I ended up just eating there on their patio. The tacos were okay. Personally, I thought they were pretty mid and not as flavorful as I was hoping they'd be. They did have a spicy sauce that I dipped the tacos in, and that definitely helped the flavor. I personally didn't love the tacos, but to be fair, I also didn't try anything else on the menu so I can't speak for the rest of their food. The place itself is a decent size, and the patio area is actually pretty nice. The staff was very kind, my order was ready right on time, and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the sauces. Overall not a bad spot, but the quesabirria tacos just didn't fully hit for me. Oh well *shrug*

The chips are fresh, super thin and crisp, lightly salted. The salsa one of my favorites. I don't know why others cannot make them the same. I can see a plate of impeccable nachos in my future here. Camarones, Mojo de Ajo style, no head, no shell. The shrimp were nice sized, but obviously overcooked. Mr B said that a couple even tasted old as well. Too bad. On the other hand, the sides, beans and rice, were sensational. Done beautifully, with very rich flavors, I would come here just for those two items. My garlic shrimp burrito was filled with smaller sized shrimp than his, their awesome rice, some fresh salsa, and a pink dressing (?). The shrimp tasted fine, not overcooked, but not overly garlicky. And usually I dislike rice in my burritos, but this combination was an exception, a real winner. I recall having an amazing carnitas here on past visits that I really must revisit. Hmmm. This is beginning to sound like a carnitas nacho plate would be the right thing to do. The interior is very attractive with their colorful and vibrant murals. Great World Cup soccer playing on their TV. The server was absolutely attentive. A good little place worth s return visit.

Check my picture for the information. I ended up getting the 3 taco plate (2 asada and 1 carnitas) and the XL meat quesadilla with asada. The carnitas was really tender and delicious. The asada was good, but it was not my favorite. I have a thing with chewy fatty pieces and I understand it is common in lower quality cuts of flap meat. This asada had quite a few pieces I had to spit out because it was just too chewy. The refried beans were good, also not my favorite though. The quesadilla was good, I liked the grilled cheese cooked prior to folding it into the tortilla with the meat. Nice touch. That grilled cheese makes a huge difference. The next 3 taco plate had pastor, asada, and shrimp (except they actually gave me fish instead). At least my girlfriend enjoyed the fish taco as well. The tacos were loaded with meat and hard to pick up. That's the best! The pastor was tender and juicy. The fish taco was freshly fried and loaded with toppings and sauce. After paying, I asked for salsa and onions/cilantro cups so I could grab it from the salsa bar before leaving, but the lady turned around and grabbed me prepackaged salsa of each kind, bagged onion and cilantro, and limes. Super nice! Salsa were all really good! Especially the green avocado salsa. I'll come back for carnitas when I'm in the mood for tacos/quesadillas. I'll probably avoid the asada though. Just not my favorite.

Years later, they still have the most frustrating ordering experience from any Mexican restaurant…read more You wait what seems like forever to get your order taken by the cooks. It is always so loud so they can barely hear most customers ordering . You order a few items at a time and they make them as you order them. It takes a while. You are then forwarded over to the cashier while you are waiting for others to checkout and order their drinks. You then order your drinks and salsas along with condiments all while your food is getting cold. With only two-three customers/parties ahead of me, I usually average about 45 minutes just to get my food and pay for it. The food. Make no mistake, they make really good food. Love their al pastor, delicious tortas and burritos. Great salsas. Delicious aguas. Good menudo but you have to check to make sure they put the grano in even when you ask for it because they have forgotten on a number of occasion. This place would be so much better if you could just order your food with a cashier and then just call you when it is ready. It would be so much more efficient just like every other normal place. Cooks are usually nice here, cashiers are usually a little frumpy. Plenty of room for parking and sitting. It is a good size inside. In the summer it is very hot inside and the ac units cannot keep up. If you try to be smart and order online, most of the time they will not start making your food till you get there.
