I placed an order on Grub Hub that took almost an hour to be prepared and delivered to my house which is less than two miles from El Tequila. I called GH to find out what the delay was, and they cancelled the order due to the delay. The order was wrong, so I called the restaurant but the person on the phone couldn't speak English clearly. I get in my car, drovee to the restaurant to get the order prepared correctly but the Mgr. refused to fix the order unless I paid again. I REFUSED to pay twice to be inconvenienced AND I WILL NEVER visit again. I recommend EL PATRON its so much BETTER!!!!! read more

The service is always very good and the food is amazing. They also have a drive through if you just want to pick up for eating at home. The environment of the restaurant is very comforting and feelings like the old traditional restaurant from when I was younger. They also have a June box inside!! You also have to try the bacon and egg taco, the bacon is mixed with the egg! Their tacos are always great portions too! Another favorite for breakfast is the steak plate. While riding through this area on business with local folks, I told them I wanted something unique to this area in the way of Mexican eats... this wasn't their first, nor second suggestion, but the other options were closed, so they brought me here. It's very sketch, as it's got bars on the windows and no signage outside, but the place clearly does something right as there was a line out the door to eat lunch here and that's no exaggeration! They have everything you'd want from a Mexican joint in their menu and their relatively quick at preparing food. They give chips & salsa when you sit down and they also give queso! I've never been to a place that gives free queso, like they do salsa! The men's room was absolutely disgusting! So, you might want to hold it until you get to a cleaner place! My sister and I were craving some tacos for breakfast and we decided to dine in here. It's a seat yourself established so we sat towards the back of the restaurant and not that many people were in the restaurant. It felt a little humid and stuffy as soon as we walked in. Two groups of men came in and seated themselves. The waitress quickly brought them menus and took there drink orders while we were waiting to be acknowledged. Our waitress finally came over to give us menus and take our drink orders. The menus were old and could use a wipe down. We both ordered asada tacos with guacamole, they tasted good. The food is the best thing about the restaurant. If you're a man you'll have no problem getting service from the waitresses that will pine all over you but if you're a woman you'll have to wait awhile to be served. read more

While I was a bit hesitant to try this place out due to other reviews. But I went unbiased. The place is definitely a hole in the wall as it's not very big inside. I wouldn't stop here just based off the exterior. I had asada taco and a potato and egg with cheese taco. They were good for the price. The tortillas were fairly good as well. I am pretty much a regular here and the food is good but tonight made want to never go back. We went through the drive and ordered steak quesadillas and parradilla for one with extra tortillas amd a side of sour cream. We get to the window and he repeats it back to us. I reminded him again about the sour cream and he rings us up. We pay with the card get our food, start checking no sour cream so we asked the guy for it and he said he didnt charge us for it and asked if we still wanted to buy it. No i do not want to use the card just to get sour cream. So i get home and call and the same guy answers then argues with me that i didnt ask dor it! This is my favorite place to pick up tacos. Any time I visit my mom we always pick up a variety from here. You get what you pay for! Most taco places barley fill your tacos with any ingredients but this place always makes it worth it. They're drive through is quick and easy and I'm on my way home with hot food before I know it! The outside of place is filthy. Their is trash, old gum stuck all over the entrance, flies, the door is dirty and the door handle is filthy and sticky. The restroom has been vandalized with gang writings all over the place. Menu's are sticky and please put some plastic covers on the chairs. The chairs are extremely noisy when moving. If they were to clean up the outside and inside issues this would be a great place to eat. Food is good,,along with the tea. Chips are rather stale though. When going to a Mexican restaurant I always do the "test." 1.) Chips and salsa (If they serve free chips & salsa) 2.) Rice 3.) Tortillas ... 1: the chips were ok. Our basket was half stale & half fresh. Salsa was watery. I did like however the cheese dip they served with it. You don't get that often. 2 stars 2. Rice was clumpy but not bad. Came on a last minute recommendation and it was just "OK" the Menudo wasn't good at all, it was tasteless and they used the honeycomb and white hominey. The barbacoa was good tho and fresh and the chips and queso was a good free starter! My wife had the enchiladas verdes and she said they were good but didn't have a "tangy" flavor she was looking for whatever that means. Bean and cheese tacos were good also. Over all great place! This place is cheap which is why I go here when I'm in need of some tacos to take to work for a breakfast potluck or when I'm running late.. I always get 16 tacos and it comes out to a little over $16 bucks. I've dined inside once and wasn't crazy about their spanish rice. They add carrots and peas to it and while I'm not sure if this is the more "authentic" way, I don't care for it. They do give you chips & salsa & queso which I've never had served to me with breakfast and I loved it. A place for a cheap taco run but not-so-much for a sit-down meal. read more
