This is considered to be the closest taco place to compete with California style tacos. The fries are basically Del Taco. 3/5 The nacho cheese is bland. The fries are basic store bought. The meat is chewy and has fatty peices. The tacos are decent 4/5 and the salsas are bland basic. Overall its like a Del Taco. Definitely not authentic tacos quality.

Walked in and were greeted right away. We ordered the #2 combo for 2 and the lady at the register was so nnice and helpful as she saw that we were lost and gave us great recommendations! We sat outside in the nice breeze and in the sun the tables were clean, trash was empty and it was peaceful! The street tacos were amazing! The Pollo so tender and flavorful just delicious! A d the bistec (recommended and a first for us) was also very tender flavorful and clean tasting! Had 1 ttiny ppiece of grizzle that's a win in my book! We also had the trompos (pork) papa's asada! The pork was flavorful and tender and the cheese was whoa!! And the baked potato smash in the bottom was nicely mashed and boiled well! The charro beans were very tasty and not salty like most places IMO. We will definitely be back to try more food, I'm already craving the Pollo and bistec!!

So glad to have another taco spot in SA. I ordered the taco plate (asada tacos) and my sister ordered the asada quesadilla and we shared both plates. The asada tacos were good, I wish they had the cilantro and onion separately since I'm not a huge onion fan but i do love cilantro so I just ate them plain instead (but covered in the delicious green salsa) The star for me was the quesadilla, the melted Oaxaca cheese was so delicious and paired so well with the carne asada. I definitely will order that again. The green salsa was definitely my favorite. The location is also nice with big tvs playing sports, my husband definitely enjoyed sitting and watching the football game that was playing.

Looking for a delicious and well-priced family meal? Run! Endure that awful traffic and go try out this restaurant. Located in the old sonic building, Tacos Vitali is delicious, consistent, and affordable. Wether feeding 2 or 6 people, I always order the family style meal. It's tender, full of flavor, and served HOT. I can't tell you how much piping hot food means to me! The 3 different salsas are all delicious and have different spice levels. The chicken thighs are so tender and juicy. There is a bar-style area to sit inside, and they still have the outdoor tables, but it's best for takeout. Their horchata and jamaica are also delicious. I've been back 3 times this month. Can't beat the delicious convenience.

The food was amazing delicious! There is outdoor seating. Indoors the seating is limited. You can order through the drive thru or walk in and order.

Awesome place for all pastor street tacos. We got the #2 combo and split 6 tacos mixto, papa asada, charro beans, and 2 Agua fresco. Service is at the counter, and you can sit inside or outside. It's a little noisy outside, but they had football on. Tacos were really good and so was the papas. The green sauce e is a little spicy but goes good on everything.

Meh... first and last time I'll be here. First off, horchata is so watered down. Barely can taste cinnamon in it. We got food quick ( it's not busy). Ordered 6 tacos for 11.99 I think. I like the packet salsa but no heat/spicy. Taco is ok. I prefer the taco truck I got to, it has more flavor. Charro beans is ok. Place is definitely overrated and overpriced.

On vacation and ran into Tacos Vitali and first of all the service was spectacular!! From being in the drive thru we had such a pleasant Texas hospitality. The trompo tacos are amazing!!! The salsa are delicious and pack a little spice. Loved the chilling and relaxing vibes to hang with the friends and family. Happy we experienced tacos vitali.

I've been to this restaurant countless times because my son loves their quick, delicious take on fast Mexican food! Unfortunately, today I had an experience with the manager, Abby, that left a bad taste in my mouth--literally and figuratively. I ordered food for my family of six, which included a mix of fries, burritos, and tacos. As usual, I asked for sour cream and salsa on the side. After spending $70 on our meal, Abby handed me only two packs of sour cream and told me that anything beyond that would cost $1 per pack. I've been here about 10 times this year, and I've never been charged extra for sour cream before. When I asked for salsa, she gave me just three small containers--for food meant to serve six people. I asked if there was an issue because this definitely wasn't the level of service I'm used to at this location. Instead of addressing my concern, she rolled her eyes and said, "No." Look, I get that customer service isn't for everyone, but this is your job. No one forced you into it--you chose it. Treating people with respect and fairness is the bare minimum. This whole experience left me annoyed and frustrated, especially because this was my daughter's first time visiting San Antonio. She was so excited to try this place after hearing us rave about it. Coming from the Bay Area, where tacos are a staple, we expected great service and even better food. Instead, Abby's poor attitude soured what could've been a great moment for our family. We haven't even had a chance to try the food yet, and I can only hope it's better than the customer service we experienced today.

However, this time I had something I hadn't tried before, which was the portobello torta, check the pic posted here, but I warn you, if a pic says 1k words, then a taste says a bagillion words (is that even English ?). But that's what happens when umami meets Mexican bliss. When your order is taken with pleasure and prepared before your eyes at this bustling establishment, it's flair mixed with fair. Go check out what has me coming back for more, time and time again. As I left, with my road tacs, the owner reminded me that the food travels well, I neglected to inform her that I didn't expect them to make it very far . Again, it's a must see scene here at Plantaqueria- hope to see y'all there.

We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

The smell alone made me think we were in for something special. We grabbed a couple of cocktails and ordered tacos, which seemed like the obvious choice. The tacos were good, but that's about where I'd leave it. They weren't bad at all, but they also weren't particularly memorable. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." I'd rate it about a 7 out of 10. Worth trying if you're already at El Camino, but not a place I'd go out of my way for.

The kind of place where your stress, your diet, even your cruda takes a backseat. Now the food. No overthinking needed here. Everything coming out of that truck is a straight up pow pow of flavor. The carne is cooked just right, juicy with that perfect char, and the corn tortillas are legit, soft but with enough structure to hold everything together. I ordered the Mamón and the Chingón, and honestly, both lived up to the names. No misses. And the agua fresca de fresa? That sealed it. Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!
