Me and my kids went for the lunch buffet on a Wednesday and the service was horrible the dishes kept getting stacked on the table nobody would get the dirty dishes flies kept landing in all of our food so we couldn't even eat our meals and the waiter took 35 minutes to bring my daughter a horchata and they also seated me and my kids in a bar area where the adults over there is drinking alcohol and talking loud and my kids is autistic and couldn't handle all that noise. read more

My co-worker and I came here after work for a quick dinner before our long drive home. I have heard mixed reviews when it comes to El Torito but when my co-worker insisted it was "one of her favorite places" to eat so I had to see for myself. We got to the restaurant around 6:15pm and not many people were there. I did put in a reservation prior just in case it did pick up since it was a Friday night. We were seated immediately. The ambiance was casual, it was like an upscale Chili's. Definitely family friendly, a place for some after work happy hour, or even a bible reading (we witnessed this happening at a table next to us). We ordered some drinks to and guac to start. I ordered the Fajitas Supremas and my coworker ordered the Fajitas combo. Both food and drinks came out relatively quick which was a plus. They made the guac infront of us which I thoroughly enjoyed. Personally it was super salty but still good after I added some lime on my own. My fajitas was okay. They did not give me the rice that came with it until I had to ask for it which sucked because it took me a good 10 minutes to try to fly down our server or any staff that was working there. The meat was dry. The dish in itself was just super dissapointing to be honest. Like I had mentioned before El Torito looked like an upscale Chilis but Chili's fajitas definitely taste better in my opinion. Food wise, I rate them a solid 3/5. At the end when we asked for the check , we requested to split the bill evenly. The check was about $86.00 . The split check should have been $43 each. However, our waiter charged us both TWICE in the amount of $86.00. While this was probably an honest mistake since he stated he had swiped the card the first time and it went through but the receipt didn't print so he went to swipe it again at a different register. Um, what? Anyway, we did get it figured out after asking someone else to take another look at it. A few things that stood out to me: They never once offered to give us water. Immediately given a warm welcome as you enter. We always ask for the patio bar seating area. We have 2 favorite waiters; Alfredo and Edwin. Not to say the other waiters are not great. We just Immediately clicked with them. This particular evening Alfredo was our waiter. Never disappoints when he serves us. You can see how much he loves to serve others in the way he approaches and conducts himself. And the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is always wonderful there. All El Torito's are not created equal, this location is far above the rest. So many are closing and it was easy to see why this restaurant has survived. The food tastes so fresh and delicious. We stopped in on 4/17/25 and went back again today 4/19/25 because we were so impressed with the food and the service. Jorge our server, was very attentive with a fun and positive attitude, we will definitely be going back. We haven't been here in a long time and decided to join in on their Sunday brunch. WOW!!! They were packed. We didn't wait long and while waiting we looked over all the offerings. So many choices and everything was looking good. In fact, we commented that we haven't really seen a restaurant this busy in years. Taco Tuesday! Been here multiple times for Taco Tuesday! Their portions here are pretty fair and the $4 tequila shots are spot on. As for me, I'm just here for the tacos and drinks. The bar area is self seated, but the downside of this is the service does take forever. Once you're able to have a server come down, you order your tacos and they provide you a receipt. You walk over to the taco stand in the middle of the restaurant and request what you would like. Tacos are tasty, the corn bread is fire, but the only downfall is the service.. very slow. When it's taco tuesday, yea I'd come back, but it won't be my first option. read more

I went to this Sunday afternoon's Happy Hour with my wife and we had excellent service from Jeremy! Jeremy made sure we had plenty of chips and salsa before our drinks and food came. We were looking for a buffet style brunch As we hadn't been to one in over 10 years And El Torito is just 5 minutes away. Everything was so good and the service was excellent. I tried small amounts of so many foods. I had tacos with carnitas, steak, and pastor all were delicious . Menudo, rice , 2 types of beans, chili verde, Colorado all really good.
