Chicken Nachos are excellent! Their Mole sauce is to die for. Prices look high on the surface however they give you way more than you need giving you 2 meals with all of the leftovers. So, my wife and I have driven by this place numerous times and finally stopped in for taco Tuesday this evening. Great ambiance complimentary chips and salsa came out right away and were hot and delicious. Our waitress took our order and brought our drinks out fast. It was not much longer before 6 gourmet tacos and a very large portion of rice and beans were at our table. The tacos couldn't have been better and the refried beans were some of the best we have had. Our only regret is that we had not tried this spot sooner. We had to support El Valle on cinco de Mayo week during covid. We ordered a variety of items for a family of 6. When we pulled up our order was brought curbside. I was looking for a nice local spot & tried this place out. I've never had a margarita I didn't like until now... this restaurant puts corona in their margaritas apparently. I couldn't drink it. So if you are into that, this place is for you! I also did not care much for the meal. The steak was well and crispy. I always order medium rare. I enjoy some juice & flavor. Dropped in on a whim 'cause I had a hankerin' for beef fajitas. I found them on Yelp and must say, I was steered in the right direction. The place is clean and friendly with a menu to match it's personality. Beef fajitas come in both individual ($11.95) and service for two sizes for a reasonable up charge ($19.95). I went with the single size to go and about 10 minutes later, presto! Easy. After a 20 minute ride home, my wife exclaimed, "Wow! That's a lot of food. I'll put that up against Don Pedro's any time." It was both delicious and plentiful giving one of us a lunch for tomorrow (aka, me). Glad I found this place. Got a hankerin' for Mexican food? I say "give 'em a whirl." Really liked the El Valle in Matthews so when I saw that they had opened a Mint Hill location, I was anxious to try it. Nothing negative about the interior decor but the ambient temperature was too hot. Waiter took our drink order, I asked what the WiFi password was and he didn't know. They do have 4 Mexican beers on draft but don't offer a 32 oz. and the 22oz. was overpriced. Chips were okay. Salsa was generic. Asked for a spicier salsa and a cheese dip. Both came later than expected. Choripollo was surprisingly bland and the mocohete as well. Mexican food should not be bland. Worst of all was the flies. Gotta get rid of the flies. read more

I really enjoyed the food at El Valle! It's your typical Mexican Restaurant in terms of menu items - love having combo options, and the prices are all very reasonable. Check out the lunch menu for very cheap options as well! The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had, it took a little bit to come out - but it was so fresh you could tell the time put into it was to ensure the quality. 10/10 would order this again. We visited this place for a late lunch during the week. Service was OK. Considering we were the only ones there I was expecting a bit more attention. Chips and Salsa are served complimentary. Sauce needs a little chunkiness to it but taste was good. We ordered the Mexican Flag Burritos and Arroz con Pollo. Food was served pretty quick however the Arroz con Pollo was room temp at best. This was one of the best experiences i've ever had at a Mexican Restaurant. We all have our tried and true Mexican go to's, El Valle actually wasn't even on my radar until a close friend INSISTED it was their favorite Mexican in the area. Well, it's fantastic. Where have I been!? We love the bronco burrito, it's huge and is smothered in queso and a chipotle sauce. Delish! We're also huge fans of their queso, but who isn't? We have only done takeout so far but staff is friendly and always helpful, great spot! So much so, that it became a Thursday night take out tradition (thanks COVID). Mint hill is in definite need of more delicious restaurants. My husband and I were happy to hear of this newer restaurant opening in the area and decided to give it a spin. The standard complimentary chips and salsa were tasty. I asked for verde salsa and I was given it complimentary as well. It was good! My husband and I shared a chimichanga with steak. It was okay, but not out of this world. The most delicious thing was the queso with chorizo! It was flavorful and delicious. The service was very slow and we had a hard time getting refills. My husband started a new position and new schedule at his job, so he couldn't take my birthday off this year. That meant I didn't get to go out to dinner on my birthday. So I looked on Yelp and since I had a taste for Mexican food, I decided to give this place a try. I called and placed a pick up order for the family: I got the nachos supreme, my daughter got the Karen Special, my son got enchiladas, and I ordered my husband the Steak Fiesta for when he came home for his lunch (dinner) break. I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. It was ready when I got there 20 minutes later. The young man who rang up my order was very polite and friendly and even gave me one of the Jarritos soda for my birthday. We got home and everyone LOVED their food! The nachos supreme was way more than I could eat by myself at one sitting. My daughter (15) took one bite of her food and said she could die happy. My son (7) loved his enchiladas and said he wanted to go live there so he could eat their food every day. When my husband got home for his break shortly after we got back with the food, he thoroughly enjoyed his steak and coconut shrimp meal. So I live literally 1/4 mile from here but never tried it until today. The chips appeared to be home made and super fresh which was good. I got the mucho burrito and it was good as well, however I would have liked if it were a little warmer. It was warm but not exactly hot like you would expect which I feel was cooked as the chicken and beans were warm but not super hot. My waitress was exactly as I was expecting, but honestly I would have much rather of had this very pretty younger waitress that came by and flirted with me and checked on me a few times as my waitress wasn't as attentive. That one waitress will be the reason I come back here and hopefully get her next time. The flirting aside she was on top of her job and I really like that. read more

We ate at the Mint Hill El Valle for the first time today. We like the one in Matthews so we thought we would try this one because they are closer to our home and they had a coupon. My daughter, who is a vegetarian ordered one of the vegetarian choices on the menu. What they brought her was something totally different. When we told the waiter that she got the wrong item, he said that they never carried the selection she made and it should not have been on the menu. Soooo they just brought her something else! Why couldn't they have just told just told her to make another selection??? Anyway, they apologized and asked if they could make her something else, she opted for another vegetarian meal to go (since my husband and I already finished eating our meals). For a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall, I didnt expect much. I was wrong. Their food was fast, fresh, well seasoned and authentic. Well priced and service is friendly and consistent. I really enjoyed the vegetarian menu items that were well balanced and not an after-thought as they are in most restaurants. Vegans can eat here happily as well. If I ever find myself in that neck of the wood again, I will definitely return to practice my Spanish and have some fantastic southern Mexican. read more

Great service and food. I was not disappointed! Better than the other Mexican option in Mint Hill - hands down.
