    Breakfast date.

Great staff every time! We have only dined here for breakfast. Plate prices run about $17-20. They have a fireplace so it makes it nice and cozy.

Visiting family in town and we stopped here for breakfast today. Had German pancake and it was good. Service was nice, we like nice family owned restaurants like this. Recommend to try out. Will stop in again next time.

Every single time you come here you'll be greeted with a smile, a warm welcome and either a wait time or you're seated. I grew up coming here as a treat with my family, and still randomly take my mom for the nostalgia. The food is standard, nothing special but I've never had any complaints either. Cost has stayed low and it doesn't feel like most breakfast spots where they'll gouge you with a 60+ dollar bill for two breakfasts and juice. I think we ended up spending 38 or so before tip. I'd say the only reason I'm giving it a four star instead of five is cleanliness (in some aspects) and the decor. Our table was super sticky, but we could tell it was wiped down so it's whatever cleaning product they use. The cholula they brought us had food splattered on it; which was a little yuck. And also... it just hasn't changed! The decor feels old, it's worn out, it's a bit odd. But if you're looking for something solid, cost effective and a friendly atmosphere I recommend coming here!

my goodness, when did this Elmer's get so South? Sometimes you have a bad expereince and think "well I'am not coming back here again". This was so bad I feel like I need more, like a refund.... We have not been here in years, so we thought why not have some breakfast for dinner? ENVIRONMENT-When we entered we realized that this is the Elmer's time forgot... it looks right out of the 80's, right down to the founders picture in the foyer. it started with a wide open restaurant, with 4 tables filled, yet we were placed in a booth that was backing another couple, next to the kitchen and right by the bathroom entrance. PRICE-Then the sticker shock set in when we saw the menu prices. 15-17 dollars for basic breakfast faire. 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuit, 15.99. my basic cheese and ham omelet, 15.99. My wife had a single strawberry waffle, and a coffee, nothing else, 15.99.... wow. FOOD- When I started into my omelet, it tasted odd, and I was getting a reaction to the ham, like an allergy. so I moved to the hash browns. they stated out crunchy, then became soggy and wet, like they were not cooked all the way. So I went after the biscuit, which was dried out and brittle... SERVICE- it started out great, my wife had a coffee refill quickly, our order was taken, and the food arrived quickly. Then we were abandon... left to fin for ourselves. No water refill, no coffee refill, and no check.... our guy showed up briefly and grabbed our plates and spun around quickly and left as I was asking for a water refill. He NEVER came back with the check. We finally had enough and went to the counter, the hostess gave a big sigh when we had no check, then tracked down or seat and asked what we had. SAD, VERY SAD.

Our breakfast combos were very tasty. French toast was a tad soggy on the corner but overall it was very good. (I guess I could have ask for the French I toast to be more on the well side) The Dutch babie did not disappoint. Two thumbs up on the service. We dined in on a Monday morning and there was not a large crowd.

    Omelette a la carte...plenty good.

The place was packed on this rainy Saturday. We came in with a party of 12! They put together a nice location for us. Great coffee shop menu...we all had breakfast. I do love myself a coffee shop. Apparently they have many locations in Oregon. Big plates, big portions and pro staff making sure everyone is getting what they need. Great job, I hope we tipped you well. LOL

    Looks like a donation drive.

While this particular Elmer's isn't quite as good as the Beaverton one, the food is still as good. If I was invited, I wouldn't balk at going. Don't go to IHOP. Don't waste your money. Elmer's is much better than they EVER were!

Several tables were full on a Friday at 1:30, which we took as a good sign! Shortly after we sat down, we were greeted by our waitress, who also seemed to be the bartender and the busser. There were a few dirty tables that stayed that way the entire time we were there, and I honestly think she was just overwhelmed trying to do everything herself. Service was okay, but she definitely seemed stretched pretty thin. We both ordered the Fiddy Fiddy Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The fries came out hot and crispy, which is exactly how fries should be. My only complaint really comes down to personal preference--I'm a smash burger girl and prefer a thinner patty. This was definitely a thicker burger than I normally go for, but all in all, it was an excellent burger. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again. Sometimes a random Yelp find turns out to be a good one!

There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

Also, it would be nice if the fish was seasoned with salt(or something) to alter the fishy flavor. The Fish & Chips was average at best.
