I just wanted to take a moment to rate this restaurant. My wife and I went to September 22 for breakfast and dinner. Absolutely the best food I have eaten great service and the backstory is amazing. A young lady comes over here from Russia immigrates the right way works her tail off and creates a fabulous place to eat and spend time with your loved ones, I highly recommend this place. Sunday brunch is breakfast until 2pm. The breakfast was BALLER. One star off because they add 3.5% for paying with a card. Otherwise this would've been a 5 star review. That hashbrown casserole almost made me cry, it's 100x better than any other one I've had. The Benton's bacon cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious, hot and fast. Be warned: almost no one is wearing a mask. Not the cooks, not the wait staff, not the customers. I expected this for the area. You can eat outside though. We wore out masks through out & I got the impression they warp-speeded our food bc of that- so pro-tip try wearing your mask until you get your food, maybe it'll come out faster? This was suggested to us by someone, it was a nice drive our to wears valley and the restaurant was friendly, clean, and enjoyable. The gravy and biscuits were tasty but the gravy could have been hotter. My egg's and bacon were done correctly and as ordered. We've driven by this place quite often on our trips to East TN but never stopped until now. We ate dinner here one evening then breakfast the next morning! For dinner I got the fried trout with cinnamon apples & mashed potatoes & husband got the chicken & waffles! We were both pleased with our meals! The waffles have a very unique taste! & the mashed potatoes were definitely the real deal! Breakfast was a great meal too! Husband loved his Crêpe & I really enjoyed the haystack! Love that they use a lot of local ingredients!My only complaint is that it is almost $3 to add a side to your breakfast & I was a little disappointed with the size of the hashbrown casserole side! Excellent, little cafe with a various selection of breakfast and lunch menu items to choose from! I ended up ordering their cafe crepe with grilled chicken, pesto sauce, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and feta cheese inside a buckwheat crepe. It was delicious and you can tell they were made from nothing but fresh ingredients! The best thing is, it didn't even take long for them to make our order. We were in and out in less than an hour! The coffee was just okay but the service was so nice and friendly and the restaurant itself was so well-kept. Our waitress was absolutely amazing! If I ever find myself back here again, I will definitely be back and I most definitely recommend this place to friends and others. read more

This may be the fastest restaurant I've ever sat at in my life. Super fast and friendly service. I had the cheeseburger which was excellent. 4 meals equaling to $77, 2 of the meals being Philly cheesesteaks, and the other being the Reuben. All 3 were said to be delicious as well. Not many menu items but I get it due to it being a cafe. I can't get over the faucet in the restroom..so cool! Overall good experience, there's a general store right next door and a zip line/horse riding place towards the back. read more

My family and I had breakfast at Elvira's this morning and I cannot say enough good about it! My 3 year old drank her apple juice too quickly and ended up getting sick at our table. The waitstaff could not have been more kind and helpful, assisting us with cleaning up and even bringing over crackers & ginger ale to try to settle her tummy. Even the patrons at another table came over with napkins and alerted our waitress for us. The food was excellent too! We had the Tennessee Haystack and it was soooo good. Four stars because when we ordered our burgers- we had 2 well done and 1 medium well. When the server brought our food, we asked which was which and she said " I don't know". If that was the case, not even sure why they asked how we liked them cooked. Anyway, the food ended up being fine. We stopped here for lunch before going to Harper Brothers Mountain chair lift next door and had lunch. Their specialty seems to be breakfast, but we had lunch. I had the chicken salad sandwich and homemade potato chips. The chicken salad was good. It had cranberries, nuts and just the right amount of onion served with lettuce and tomato on bread. Also included a pickle spear. Very tasty! I will definitely have it again next trip. My wife had the special burger of the day which was called the Boss Burger. It was disappointing that they did not have all of the ingredients for the burger of the day. It was supposed to have had a bacon jam and they were out of it! That was the main reason for ordering it to give it a try. Very disappointing that they would offer a special of the day and not have all of its ingredients. The burger was not a quality meat and tasted processed and frozen. However, I must say that the manager stopped by and apologized and offered a replacement item. She had the salad which was fresh greens and had plenty of add on to choose to add to the salad. The vinaigrette dressing was very good. I would have liked to have tried one of their pies, but we were too full to have a piece (although it is very hard to say no to coconut cream pie!) The lady making pies uses her grandmothers recipes and are reported to be very good! The staff and waitresses are very friendly. I probably would have given 5 stars if they had the burger as promised, and if it was fresh ground burger and not frozen. Still good enough for a return trip to try it again another day! We really wanted to love this place, but we just didn't. I got the spinach and feta crepe. It's like half a quesadilla on this big plate with no sides or anything. It was cold and cooked weird. Instead of scrambling the eggs, feta and spinach together, it was just layered and it didn't mesh well. It was very bland. My husband hated his pancakes and said the hash brown casserole tasted off. My two older kids liked the Nutella banana crepe. My littlest was mad the chocolate chips were not cooked in his pancake but rather scattered on top of a to cold to melt them pancake. Service was ok. The waitresses were more interested in their conversation with each other than the customers. We had to ask for our glass of water twice. The restaurant itself has a cool mountain vibe and has plenty of potential just definitely not worth the $70 we paid. I doubt we'll be back. read more

The perfect lunch spot on your way to The Foothills Parkway! We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 and like we expected, there was about a 30 minute wait. It wasn't a problem at all, because they had a BEAUTIFUL seating area outside complete with heat lamps to ward off the slight chill that was in the air. Maggie the dog was also there to keep us company. Once we got inside, we had Jennifer, our wonderful waitress that took care of us, and was so attentive and sweet! The smoked gouda chicken club was the best meal I had my entire trip. That chicken breast was cooked to absolute perfection and the bacon jam that came with it was the icing on the cake. Husband played it safe with the turkey burger but the rate that he inhaled it was a sure sign of how good that was too! The surprise of the day was the fact they did Crepes!! The S'mores crepe was absolutely divine. Gooey on the inside with tons of chocolate and graham crackers, it was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal! read more
