We visited Elvira's Cafe as a suggestion from our server at the Sunliner Diner earlier in the week. This is a bit outside of Pigeon Forge and it is really really good. We ordered a stuffed crepe with eggs, mushrooms, onions bell pepper and cheese, we ordered Chicken and Waffles with a spiced honey on the side and chocolate chip pancakes. The chicken and waffles with spiced honey was really good and I would order this again. The chocolate chip pancakes were good. The crepe had a strange color but it tasted fine and the filling was great. This restaurant appears to be inside of an old house and they have framed photographs by professional photographers on the walls for sale. We will also visit this restaurant again next time we are in the area. read more

Our last morning in the Sevierville TN area and we needed breakfast before the long drive home. It is on a hill and there are steps to get into the restaurant. We had a moment of almost changing our mind about going due to the full parking lot on a Thursday morning. Once inside, it was clear that it was a favorite of locals. We were quickly seated. My husband had the mountain man omelette, which basically means all the meats were included. I had 2 eggs over medium, 1/2 order of biscuit and gray,and a small order of bacon. We both had coffee. Coffee was good,solid - strong, fresh, with half and half and sugar. The omelette was good for large appetites. The biscuit and gravy was good, but not the standout. The local bacon and sausage was exceptional, but the best was the eggs. I have not had eggs so fresh and tasty - ever. I was completely caught off guard. The service was great. Kim was our server and she was friendly, efficient, and a joy to encounter. The restaurant was efficient, pretty clean, and shines with the local ingredients. read more

I ordered 2 eggs over easy, gravy, hash brown casserole and sausage. The eggs weren't even cooked all the way, the gravy was like water. I've never seen gravy that soupy?! The biscuits were the frozen biscuits, and the hash brown casserole was flavorless. I seriously don't know how this place is rated so high? read more

Friendly staff, great service and delicious food. Saw this place while driving past doing some sight seeing, and this place caught our eye. Large parking lot was packed, which was a good sign! Nice location, lovely decorated yard full of plants and pretty flowers, and an incredible mountain view looking out our window where we were seated, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Very clean restaurant, also. Glad we stopped in on our vacation! read more

Took my family here today as it was on our list to visit while in the area. I'm 53 years old and this was truly, without doubt and without exaggeration, the worst breakfast I've eaten in my life. I love pancakes and frankly am not that picky about them. But these were literally inedible. Salty, gummy and undercooked, I had to use water to wash them down without choking. Two burnt disks they called sausage accompanied this atrocity. Even the coffee was bad. My son's chicken was apparently passable but even he couldn't stomach the waffles. My daughter, bless her soul, did her best to finish the gray...yes gray...crepe. The fruit was even terrible. To their credit, they removed the pancakes but the bill still came to 60 dollars. Our waitress was nice and I can't fault her at all. I still left her 20 percent. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. Maybe the regular chef was sick that day...who knows. But I would seriously recommend you go anywhere for breakfast other than this place. I still cant believe how bad it was. I've eaten thousands of breakfasts at restaurants all over the world and, honestly speaking, I truly can't recall any worse than this. My hubby had the Reuben and I had the Smoked Gouda Chicken Club both with baked sweet potatoes. Sandwiches were average and sweet potatoes weren't hot enough to melt "loaded topping"'which we were charge $1.99 each extra for without telling us. Service was the best thing about our meal. The service was exceptional here! I went here back in November, but forgot to write a post for it. I went after the Cade's Cove Lope and it definitely got my energy back lol. I ordered a crêpe to go, which I don't remember the name of it, but it was OK. I'd LOVED their omelette that they had! My waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive to me the whole time. We are staying 20 min away & saw on Bring Fido you could set on porch with your dog. They were very welcoming. Great view from the porch. My wife had grown up Grilled cheese & I had Chicken n Waffles. Both were great. This place is way from the crowd & very enjoyable. read more

Stopped here and not a fan. We waited nearly an hour to have breakfast here on a weekday and once we were seated it took a while to get drinks and food. Stoped at Elvira's for a great lunch before a long day of travel, the smoked Gouda chicken sandwich was amazing!

SO disappointed - I wanted to love it but was very let down. 1) The "crepes" are a buckwheat tortilla, not crepes. 2) Two OTHER families besides ours had "additional" charges for items they didn't order while we were there - Watch your receipt! 3) Kids meals say they come with a side, yet we were charged $4 for fruit - despite it being advertised as an option. We were also charged $4 for a side item that was added on, but never brought to the table. I let the server know, and she said that she would remove it, but never did. 4) I brought the two items to the attention of the staffer who was manning the register, and it was made very clear to me that correcting the receipt was an imposition. She huffed and puffed and even went so far as to ask "is this good enough for you now?". With these overcharges AND an almost $5 charge (well over any less than 3% credit card merchant service fee they would be assessed) -the difference amounted to almost $15. We came in at the tail end of breakfast so that would account for the low quality of the "freshness" but it does not account for the lack of service or attention to the details that we received. As my husband said " it now makes sense why they would offer a 10% discount to anybody who comes back". read more

My wife and I were in a nearby cabin looking fof a good breakfast/lunch option after check out. She found this place on Yelp with great reviews. We were not disappointed. It was very busy when we got there which was a good sign, but we only waited about 15 minutes. First the coffee was really good, which is important to us both. I had the breakfast sampler with eggs, bacon, biscuit and gravy, and hashbrown casserole. It was amazing! Eggs cooked to perfection as well as the bacon. Biscuit was very fluffy and the homemade gravy was some of the best I have had at a restaurant. The hashbrown casserole is the first I have had to compete with Cracker Barrels. She got a savory crepe with chicken, cheese, and veggies. It too was amazing. Our server Jennifer was attentive providing top notch service. We will be back!! read more

After arriving with a group of 9 just after 11 on a Saturday and seeing the packed parking lot, I was impressed that they managed to seat us immediately. The service was quick and friendly without being over-solicitous, and the wait for our food was not bad at all given the full house. Each of us ordered a sandwich and a side, and no one was unhappy, but the clear winners were the people who ordered the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese (by a landslide). The food looked so good that I couldn't convince anyone to pause long enough to get pictures, and even though several of us couldn't finish our sandwiches, there weren't many leftovers. The onion jam also received rave reviews. The only negative was that the sweet potato fries lacked flavor; they were crispy and looked appealing but just needed some seasoning. The restrooms were clean, and the prices were pretty reasonable. We would definitely go back, and next time we will try the breakfast menu. read more

Off the beaten path and away from the crowds - already was a winner in my books. We arrived around 8:30ish on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. Not sure if they were still just getting things going for the day but we had to ask for silverware and syrup for our table. Not a big deal really but when you don't see a server for awhile it feels more like one. The food was excellent, maybe not memorable forever but quite good. What stood out to us most was the breakfast ham. Just seemed so authentic and fresh, unlike other places. My son was happy with his giant kids pancake and the eggs were great too. I had to order egg whites for dietary reasons so nothing to write home about there but at least they could accommodate for me. read more
