One star for nice service but the food was awful. I've never had Chinese food like this, so bland, no spicyness, no saltiness. Where was the egg, green onions, carrots, bean sprouts in the pork fried rice? Where was the pork? I missed that. The chicken chow mein was tasteless and where was the chicken? The almond chicken was weird. I was expecting a stir fry of veggies with chunks of chicken with roasted almonds on top, instead I got slices of breaded chicken with some sort of gravy on top. It was like country style Chinese food! The atmosphere was like having Chinese food at a Denny's. This place was awful! I went there and the hostess seated the people who came in before me and it took about 20 minutes to get seated even though it was not busy. And when you walk in you can't see the dining room as the hostess stand is separate down a hallway. It's dark and dreary inside. I ordered the almond chicken and the chicken was cold. read more

PLEASE, please, please don't eat here. The food is absolutely disgusting. I had the General Tsao's meal and the pork chow mein. After trying everything, I threw it all away. The general tsao's was...okay, but just barely okay and hardly the "extra spicy" I asked for. The almond chicken that came with the meal was basically just fried in some poor-excuse for batter (if that batter had been made within the last 24 hours, I honestly would be shocked), and it hadn't been in the fryer long, because parts of it were the kind of mush you only get when something hasn't been fried long enough. The rice was somehow dry. Cooked all the way...but dry, which means it wasn't fresh -- a poor and surprising business choice for an Asian restaurant. The vegetables with the chow mein were slimy. I have no idea what you have to do to get slimy vegetables, so the only thing I can thank of is that those vegetables had started to go bad. If you want "chinese" just go to Panda Express; your food will actually be edible and you won't feel nearly as sick afterwards. Biggest waste of $30 of my entire life. I have been ordering from this establishment for quite a while. I didn't want to say anything until today but there is a young Caucasian male that makes rude comments when he delivers. But the most important reason that i write this comment is the fact that I have been regular patron for quite a while and they got my order wrong and I was told that I could get a discount on my next order as apposed to them delivering my correct order. I have given you too much of my hard earned money to receive that sort of service. You have lost me as a patron. read more

I guess I am sad that there are such bad reviews for the Emperor's Palace. I have been ordering take-out with them for a long time. This is the perfect place for if you are tired from a hard day at work, and need a break from cooking. I love their Crab and cream cheese wontons and the Sweet and sour Chicken, and Andy loves the Shrimp egg foo-yung. I highly recommend them. I think there restaurant is fun-cozy place too. I have been there once and I think Morena T's review covers it well. This is the one of the worst examples of Chinese / American food I have tasted. The vegetables are way over cooked. The food is just gross. You are way better off going to one of the Chinese buffets not too far away. If you want to find out what could possibly be worse than Chinese food from the Safeway or Topfoods Deli or even China Express you will find it here. They do have delivery service for a 2 dollar "fuel surcharge", maybe you could have them stop and pick up burgers on their way. read more

I come here for the Karaoke at night. It's a blast! The Karaoke DJ is very friendly and humorous. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. :) Highly recommend if you like Karaoke bars! read more

The food was acceptable (lots of extra to take home), but the service sucks! When we placed our order we asked if they offered military discount, yes, they do. We then ordered an appetizer (BBQ pork). It showed up literally a minute before our meal with an explanation from the server that she "forgot all about our appetizer". When it came time to pay the server ran the credit card; I asked if this amount included the military discount. "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to include that." After a back and forth, she turned it on me and said if I had "told her" she might have remembered. "I did tell you," was my answer. No offer to void and re-run, no offer to cash out for the discount. I appreciate discounts when given, but if a business isn't going to honor them don't offer them. Finally, we packed up the leftovers, asked for condiments to go with the BBQ pork (ketchup, sesame seeds and hot mustard). Got home, unpacked everything, and found DRY NOODLES instead of condiments! Check and double-check your ticket before paying and your bags before leaving. Poor service. read more

Upon reading previous reviews, I was timid to order. However I needed delivery and wanted noodles, not pizza. They have IMPROVED!!! I am a "Foodie" and their Pad Thai was great - 2 star just right and I made multiple substations to the combo I ordered with no hesitations nor complaints from them. The service on the phone was good to great! The delivery was way faster than estimated - portions were huge!! I am very, very happy with my dinner(s!) Give them a chance!!! Cashew Tofu was super good and next time I will try orange chicken instead of Gen. Tsao but nothing to complain about. Fresh spring rolls are delicious and huge :) Get the side order of peanut sauce !!! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The orange chicken was bland and soggy, I picked a piece of some sort of aluminum packaging out of my food, the teriyaki beef tasted old, like almost to the point where it tasted moldy. We also ordered potstickers which were terrible. I could have gone to Panda Express and had better Chinese food than this place. $45 worth of food that ultimately just went in the trash. I have visited this restaurant three times now and I can say that the first two I was very disappointed. I'm not sure what they changed but my family and I ate dinner here tonight (my mom's turn to choose) and it was fantastic! They have a weekday specials menus that is wonderfully priced. We all ordered off of it and they allowed us to customize it as we wanted without charging more. The food was delicious and the servers were attentive! The meals were huge and very fresh. They even boxed our meals when we were done! The food and service this visit was enough to make me want to write a good review despite past bad experiences! Keep it up guys! read more

I had a (bridal shopping party) of 5 on Wednesday April 27th. We arrived and were seated right away. We were brought water and tea and then left alone for 15 minutes. My daughter finally asked if we could have menus. We ordered and the food arrived. The noodles were quite spicy (2 had asked for 'just a tiny bit spicy'). The chicken on ALL 4 of our plates was so hard we had to ask for knives... we finally gave up. We had to call them over again to ask for drinks as 2 of our party did not drink tea. THEN - (laughing here) they gave us the fortune cookies and one was without a fortune... We went to the front to pay and the cashier grabbed the top tab along with my daughter's card and ran it without asking if it was the right one... sadly it wasn't. It worked out because I just repaid my daughter on the spot. We left and the last 2 to pay were in there for another 10 minutes while the cashier discussed the transaction with another employee. The last 2 were paying with cash and had to wait for a cash drawer to arrive. worst worst worst time ever !! I have only done delivery but I can't complain. They are always faster than what they say. They are always accommodating to my incredibly specific orders. I didn't enjoy their lemon chicken but have been enjoyed most of.their apps and spicy teriyaki. For a quickly delivered meal that will last me at least two days and not completely kill my wallet I will always choose Emperor's Palace over pizza. Deal with the fact that Chinese food can't always be "super authentic", this is pretty good for delivery. read more

Really bad. Worst fried rice I've ever had. The meat and the sauce were just horrible tasting, and questionably cooked. Went on a Saturday night. We were seated right away but had to wait quite a while to order. Food arrived quickly. We got the family style B meal. Some dishes were good (sweet and sour pork, almond chicken) and others were pretty bad (chow mien ((mostly celery)), pork and seeds and pork fried rice). The sweet and sour sauce is sooo good but the pork itself was kind of cold and a little tough. The Worst restaurant I've been to in my life. Restaurant interior smelled like dirty mop water. None of our food appeared fresh - veggies clearly from a freezer.
