Overpriced food that does not mean expectations If anyone wants listening, please don't don't get disappointed like I did

I spent $100 and nobody asked me for a glass of water. I watched one of the managers walked past me as he was drunk and he was very fun with people that were drunk as well.

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. If you like Cantonese style Chinese Cuisine, you will like it here. My roommate and I have been here twice now and loved it both times. The service was excellent on both occasions which were during the dinner rush, once on a Saturday evening. The BBQ pork fried rice is some of the best I've ever had. There's a flavor in there I remember from having Chinese cuisine as a kid. I can't identify it, but it's the best kind. The Chow Mein has lots of veggies, and crunchy noodles underneath. You can ask for no crunchy noodles if you wish. The sauce on the Chow Mein is pretty good but not the best I've had. The Almond Fried Chicken is top tier, excellent. The chicken was tender, the breading was crunchy, and the gravy had excellent flavor with lots of almond crumbles. The Mongolian beef had a nice flavor but needed to be spicier. The menu said it was spicy, but I need it spicier than this was. The table next to us had what looked to be an excellent dessert. Between our visits we also tried both Egg Drop and Won Ton soup. I preferred the Won Ton out of the two but both were good. We also tried chicken pot stickers, BBQ Pork, Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls. All of these were excellent, although on our second visit the BBQ was a little tough... it was wonderfully tender on our first visit. One tip I have is that they need some sweet chili sauce, or sweet chili style sweet and sour for dipping the egg rolls and spring rolls. They brought me chili oil which was not what I really wanted. The ambiance is nice, and the lobby has a beautiful tropical aquarium with many fish. We met the manager and she was very friendly and talkative as well. Not quite 5 stars, but I cannot believe the other low ratings we've seen. That was definitely not our experience and WE WILL BE BACK!

My wife and I and are 14 month baby had dinner here tonight. Personally, I thought the food and the portions and the prices were pretty good, and the staff was very friendly and checked in on us often. The staff was very gracious and brought us some extra stuff baby, such as a paper plate and some extra silverware.. I think all three of us had a good time and good eating and good atmosphere..

It did not disappoint! I tried the Norma sandwich which was delicious. The tofu skin patty was unlike any other faux chicken I've had and so good! And because I'm always on the search for great vegan mac and cheese I had that as my side. Absolutely delicious! Very creamy. Portions are large here so I brought some of the mac home and am looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow. My husband tried the dip sandwich with a side of the mashed potatoes and gravy and ate every last bit. He loved it. It's a very cute cafe on the corner with friendly staff. I witnessed a man in need come in and take advantage of the program they have where you can buy a meal for a hungry person to come in in the future and have a free meal. That's a lovely service to the community. So glad I was able to finally patronize this great vegan business! I'll try to come back soon!

The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.

There is a good selection of dumplings and toppings, as well as other food & treats, including borscht and dill pickles. Drinks are limited to those in the stand up fridge, or water from a self serve cooler. The dumplings are good, but decidedly underwhelming for $1.04 a dumpling (18 pieces = $18.80). We had the Alaskan and the Classic, and while enjoyable, I didn't think they were anything to write home about. Meh. Our total bill for two 18 piece plates, a square of honey cake and 1 can of soda was over $45, not including tip. While the old Security & White Building location has a charming vibe, the upstairs seating is definitely NOT easily accessible for those with mobility challenges. I want to like this place more, so I might be back to try their piroshki.
